  1. Not sure what to think. The thing about Nintendo machines is Nintendo games but the gimmicks and other stuff can be annoying. I've not wanted to really own a Nintendo machine since the N64 tbh. In saying that though, I did play a Mario game on my kid brothers Wii and the magic of that series was definitely there.
  2. Humble Store Winter Sale 2017 There are some great discounts on racing games and more right now at the Humble Store, and it’s not just the old stuff either. Main standouts for us are DiRT Rally with 60% off, Rocket League which is slashed by 20% and Project CARS with a massive 66% saving! Should you already have those then others worth a look are the massively fun Table Top Racing World Tour with a 60% price cut and Motorsport Manager with a nice little 25% markdown. You can also feel good knowing that at the same time as you are making savings, you are also giving to charity too and this is one of the core drivers behind purchasing through Humble Store or going for the current Humble Bundle on offer. End times for different titles can vary so make sure to take notice of any countdown that may be showing so you do not miss out on something you want. Humble Store Winter Sale!
  3. Oh the drama! The GTA car is clearly a take on an R32 which would be valid in its normal guise so yeah it's fine. Ozz's is still a 2000 model and so is not. If the theme was "BMW or german cars" as you say, posting a replica from GTA V would be fine too, as in the game it is clearly their interpretation of the car. If you only want real life cars then have this be a lesson learned and be sure to ask for it. :nods: Simple.
  4. Yeah, so 90s editions of the R34 are fine, those that became available 2000 onwards ie; V-spec II, V-spec II Nurburgring, Z-tune etc are not.
  5. The way I am understanding the theme is, the model needs to have been made in the 90s. Not the chassis or anything like that, I wouldn't have cared if the pic entered from FH3 or any other game has the car as a 2000+ if the model started production before it. It's just that specific model Ozz, use a normal R34 and you're good. :p
  6. I am sure it is complete coincidence that you have posted the Skyline model that Milli expressly used as an example as something that would not be valid for entry, as even though the R34 GT-R was produced in the 90s, that edition was not. On a quick info check, the standard V-spec II is a 2000 model.

  8. [headline]the banner contest #84[/headline] http://turboduck.net/img/tbc/tbc.jpg[/img] Storming to the win with a Lamborghini Diablo GT in a tunnel from GT6, it was Milli who took all the glory for herself in tbc #83 (link). The choice was a tough one but in the end it was the Raging Bull that ended up the victor! Theme: JDM Deadline: Sun 22nd Jan, 2017 - Entries | Sun 29th Jan, 2017 - Votes PRIZE The winning entry or entries will be posted up on our community forum banner and if large enough will also be put on our social channels too. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them are not eligible) (Please mention what game your screenshot is from if not obvious) Entering the competition with a TDU2 picture may result in suspension/ban of your account. Each contest is broken into an entries part and then a voting part, after which the winner(s) will be decided from the poll results Good luck and remember you can use your Gallery space to host your entry. :bparty:
  9. Wow this was a tough one to pick out once the poll opened as there was so many incredible entries from you guys. Seriously, this was probably one of the most difficult choices you had to make, but in the end as you can see from above there was a clear winner: Milli and her excellent Diablo GT. It was a close fight up to the mid-week point and then the votes just seemed to pile in for my namesake (merely a coincidence! :susp:) . Second place was taken by the BMW at night in GTA V by The Compensator and the final step was occupied by superhyper and his great shot of a rally legend, the Audi Quattro, posing for a shot in the snowy wilderness of FH3's Blizzard Mountain. So well done Mills and thanks to every one of you who cast a vote! :happyroll: Speaking of every one who voted, there was one person who entered but DID NOT vote! And as per the rules that means a disqualification. Now what forgetful nugget could have done this you ask? Why none other than team blue staff member Mr Softie. Way to set an example there buddy! :fp: Notices: * Mr Softie is disqualified due to not voting in the poll
  10. There's less than 15mins left to get your copy of DiRT Showdown if you haven't already!
  11. For some reason I felt an intense draw to your latest post. I cannot think why that could be. :susp: Awesome Diablo shots (nice plate!), but I'm actually annoyed I missed your update before this latest one as that Lancia is caught in its element really well.
  12. [headline]Would you like some FREE games?[/headline] Getting your hands on some free games is always a good thing especially when they are good games! And you might be surprised to know that a number of the big companies and platforms do put a number of their previous titles up for people to download for absolutely no cost at all. EA have their On the House, Ubisoft gave a bunch away on their Ubisoft Club 30th Anniversary and there is the casual dropping of titles on Humble Bundle that tend to occur at times too. So in this thread, the aim is to help get these noticed so that many of you can partake in the snatching of them while they are active. This thread is for non-racing and driving types as there is a specific thread already for this and obviously only the squeaky clean examples are what we are wanting here. If there's any grey in the conditions then do not post it. If you are replying to a game that has been posted in here by somebody please QUOTE the link so that others don't have to sift through the above replies to find it. Thanks! :)
  13. [headline]Free Racing Games[/headline] Occasionally, developers and publishers will put their older but still brilliant games up for completely free download on either their own digital distribution platforms or through Humble Bundle and the like. All that's needed to take advantage of these is to have the digital client, an account with the company or something else that is normally fairly harmless. These are usually only up for a limited time and so you need to be quick to grab them. Also be sure to take notice of any redemption end date as sometimes these titles will be offered a short time before they are removed from online stores and so you will not be able to redeem your valid code at all! If you find any racing or driving games yourself then please post them! (only those that are legit, above board and reputable please) If you are replying to a game that has been posted in here please QUOTE the link so that others don't have to sift through the above replies to find it. Thanks!
  14. DiRT Showdown Free For a very limited time, DiRT Showdown, another excellent game from Codemasters, is available totally free on Humble Bundle for Windows, Mac and Linux. Released back in 2012 and the last ‘DiRT’ game before the incredible DiRT Rally crashed onto the scene last year, Showdown was more about providing a thrilling and enjoyable experience without having to think too much about what was going on. With its more arcade-centric physics and the creating of carnage actively encouraged, this was a game that just wanted the player to have fun with what they were doing. And it did just that. DiRT Showdown is provided as a Steam key for Windows, Mac and Linux.
  15. DiRT Rally PlayStation VR It’s been a bit of a fairly quiet time with info pertaining to DiRT Rally recently, but today a surprising announcement was made out of nowhere that the outstanding rally sim will be getting PlayStation VR compatibility. Announced through the official Codemasters blog, the support for PSVR will be provided by an upcoming DLC add-on and will be available from the PlayStation Store for existing owners and be included in an upgraded retailed boxed version. It won’t be a long wait for it either, as it appears Codies have been working away like busy beavers as we will be seeing it in the “coming weeks”. DiRT Rally is already seen as the ultimate rally racer and the addition of PSVR support will only raise that higher. Those players who are lucky enough to be able to have a full setup will find themselves immersed as much as is possible without being behind the wheel of an actual rally car. The PS VR functionality will give you a fully immersive off-road experience, with the upgraded game supporting every car, every route and every discipline within DiRT Rally. But wait, there’s more! Hang onto your seats baby ‘cause the update will enable an ability to have a second player to take on the role of co-driver, using the buttons and touchpad of the controller to send instructions to the driver. 16. Yikes Myk! You posting those images really brings home how ...no it's too depressing. :bdown: Nah you're only as old as you feel anyway! Happy Birthday Mr Anderson, I hope you have a good one, drink plenty, eat lots and sleep none. Make some good memories and then get so bladdered you cannot remember them. Ah, youth. :wise:
  17. Haha that was unreal how you scraped past them all. You missed a golden opportunity to do a road runner *beep beep* at the end though. :p Interesting that it got your blood flowing :susp: ...perhaps you meant it got your blood pumping?
  18. Console ‘Red Pack’ & Porsche Pack Vol 2 OUT NOW! Here we are, into the beginnings of 2017 and Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games are right on it, as today saw the release of the ‘Red Pack’ and Porsche Pack Volume 2 for PS4 and Xbox One. In fairness, they did say the simultaneous landing of the packs would happen but as has been seen previously, it’s not always the case to blindly believe this will be the case. var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.8&appId=159301820896907"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); " data-width="auto" data-show-text="false"> Both of the packs which have been available on PC for months, were very much eagerly awaited by players on both console platforms. And so to get them two dropping at the same time is going to put many of them in a right cheery mood. Assetto Corsa ‘Red Pack’ - Contents Ferrari SF15-T Ferrari F138 Ferrari 488 GT3 Maserati 250F 6C Maserati 250F T2 12C Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce Red Bull Ring circuit Deciding between the two however isn’t the only issue facing those on Xbox One right now. As has become almost routine for those players on the Microsoft system, experiencing new frustration with additional content has shown itself again: this time being that Season Pass holders are unable to unlock the content they are entitled to. Kunos are aware and looking into it and hopefully this problem will be resolved in not too long. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail For those able to download the content and have it work as expected, plenty of new vehicles and a new track awaits them. Be it taking the duo of Ferrari F1 cars around the numerous locations the game has to offer or hanging on to a Porsche 962c as it tries to wrestle away from your control. The new thrills are due to be bountiful with all the new machinery and new track that is included inside the two packs. This latest release brings the console versions of the game to v1.11 and along with a number of fixes, delivers another free Porsche. The Porsche Cayenne is the second of the free Porsche triplets promised, giving everyone some more Porsche to play with even if they do not buy any of the new content. No word on the console Porsche Pack Volume 3 right now, but that can be forgiven. However could it also make an appearance this month? It will be interesting to see what Kunos does, as the delayed 911 RSR 2017 that was meant to be in the PC release of the pack last December, is pencilled in to become a free upgrade to that pack some time this month. Available now, the Porsche Pack 2 and the Red Pack are included in the console Season Pass, or can be purchased separately on the PlayStation and Microsoft Stores.
  19. Forza Horizon GT3 A partnership has been formed between Microsoft and the Change Racing team who will be running a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 in the GTD Class in this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona race. The Racing Bull will be wearing a special livery created by Turn 10’s very own Ayo Jube and sees plenty of Xbox and Forza Motorsport branding covering the vehicle, along with its typical sponsors. As a part of this partnership, Forza Horizon 3 will see the car become available as a download (and be included in Forza Motorsport 7?). How this will be done, we are uncertain, however it will either be given free, included in a premium car pack, or as is most likely, be a Forzathon prize. As the result of an expanding partnership with Microsoft, Change Racing will carry branding from Forza Motorsport, the hugely popular and best-selling racing video game from Turn 10 Studios for Xbox consoles. The partnership will be supported by a range of marketing activations as well as featuring in-game content from Change Racing, including the ability for players to download the No. 16 Forza Motorsport/Orion/Monster Energy GTD car for in game play. – IMSA website The Change Racing team have even been having some fun with the whole thing, sharing some of their testing and practice sessions on their twitter. If you are eager to see how the car and team does, then be sure to catch it at the race when it takes place on January 28th – 29th. [via IMSA | Forzamotorsport]
