2. Good job Ingram and brilliant job wee Moffat and outstanding lap by Neal even with all that success ballast. Scooby's didn't do that well after all though which was a shame.
3. Quali for Thruxton is about to kick off and the Free Practice sessions have shown Turkington to be quite quick in the Scooby-doo, so that's good to see that car coming on well.
4. How so? BF games that have had the Frostbite engine have been amazing to me in the gameplay department. The netcode has always been the issue, never the gameplay.
5. Need to hear more about it but I'm kind of hoping BF1 is a more raw experience. Not so much spray and pray but shoot to live as reloading back then took its time. This presenter is a tool, he'd be better on a CoD event.
6. Something along the lines of BF 1943 would be good to see. That was a brilliant game for its price and one I must have played through as much as BF3.
7. I have been fortunate enough to play a huge variety of games over the years (:wise:) and if I had to list the most memorable and those which have a special place in my memories it would be these: (not necessarily in order) M A I N Pole Position - first racing game I can actually properly remember playing, its music will always throw me back to those days. Burnin' Rubber - my cousins had an Amstrad PC with this game and we would play this often when visiting their house. It was always a close battle to as the game wasn't no slouch with its opponents. The Duel: TEST DRIVE II - driving fast with a cockpit view in so many legendary supercars while watching your fuel was more fun that it sounds. Road Rash - pure absolute joy when playing this -- laughing as you beat-up other riders or how the police would just ram your bike to stop you. Would absolutely love to see this series come back. Super Mario Kart - could easily be the ultimate split-screen racer to be honest. Despite its cartoon look it certainly caused some hard contested and fought battles. F-Zero - how bloody fast am I going?!?!?!?!? Ridge Racer - this is when myself and my mates started believing arcade style gaming could come to the home console. Carmageddon - brutal, stupid and so much fun causing controversial carnage. Cruisin' USA - the arcade machine for this was down at the local ten-pin bowling and whenever me and my mates would be down there we would have a go or two of this. Destruction Derby 1 & 2 - during the PlayStation generation, it just seemed that the racing/driving game was always getting better and more fun in so many areas and this series was no different in showing that. Wipeout - being a fan of techno music and racing this game was right up my future stylised alley. Was definitely one of those that was 'easy to play, hard to master'. ToCA Touring Cars 1 & 2 - being a big fan of the BTCC I could not wait for this game to come. I remember reading in magazines about the forthcoming BTCC and Gran Turismo games that were coming and was crazy excited for them both. ToCA 2 excelled the first and has a solid place in my memories as this time period was the peak of the BTCC for me. (was not keen on what came afterwards until the Race Driver series though) Gran Turismo 1 & 2 - soooooo good! -- shame the damn series has stagnated and still suffers even to this day what people complained about back then. Need for Speed: III - Hot Pursuit - not much needed to be said about this one I would imagine. Need for Speed IV: Road Challenge - still rate the tracks in this game as some of the best I've played, EVER! Rally Cross - this to me actually comes second to Super Mario Kart for the best split-screen racer, it was fun playing alone but it was something entirely better when competing against another. DRIVER 1 & 2 - one of the best driving games, you could really feel those tyres spinning or that heavy rear sliding out as you threw it around the corners as the suicidal police hunted you down! (Extra points for the hubcaps falling off) GTR 2 - playing this at a mate's house with their wheel was eye-opening. Funny enough the handling wasn't exactly realistic but people always equate difficulty with realism for some reason and this game was pure hell to drive right in. Crazy Taxi - amazing game and the inclusion of real brands made it all that much better imo for some reason. WRC II Extreme - I absolutely loved this game, it seemed that it was doing the impossible for the hardware it was on and when it was coupled with my new Logitech DFP, the immenseness of tackling a stage perfectly and watching the replay (with that incredible helicopter view) or messing up and watching your car tumble down a mountain is something I will never tire of remembering. :D Forza Motorsport - this game was what Gran Turismo should have been by that time and for Microsoft to do it on their first outing was impressive. It made me buy an Xbox and it is still regarded as the best Forza due to the variety in what it provided to players. Gran Turismo 4 - racing around the Nordschleife in so many of the cars (including an attempt in that 19th century Benz) was one of the greatest PS2 gaming moments I had. Enthusia - better handling than GT and some excellent courses with a cool mix of vehicles made this a real surprise. Was best experienced with a wheel though. Project Gotham Racing 3 - great to see the semi-arcade racer return and with the visuals this game had on a new console launch it would have been easier to be fooled that the gameplay was better than it actually was, but no this game was a diamond and is probably one of the best launch titles for any machine to ever be released imo. Test Drive Unlimited - the game I had been waiting so long for -- an open world racing game that could be played with others. Made so many new friends and created this very community due to it. It had its faults and it was lacking in details, engine sounds and other areas but the environment and the sheer ability to just blast down the open roads at your own pace with others made it a brand new defining title for me in what I now look for in games like this. Forza Horizon - for a while an open-world Forza is what people had been wishing for and we got it, and it was a very good game but it wasn't very open but it had the Forza flair and it excelled TDU in the areas where it failed hard in. However the smaller environment and walled-off areas made this a title which did not have the longevity that TDU held you in. DRIVECLUB - in a way this is the PGR 3 of the gen 8 consoles, in that again it would be easy to be taken in by its looks over the way it actually plays but again it's not the case, as DC is a damn fine semi-arcade racer with jaw-dropping visuals and speed that sets the bar higher imo. As you can see I have played a lot of the major titles and if you ever get a chance to try them out then definitely do so. Chances are you won't see what the fuss is all about as I guess some of them will not hold up well today. :( Notable Mentions And it wouldn't be fair not to mention some of those that missed the list: Outrun, Daytona USA, Colin McRae Rally series, Midtown Madness 3, Rage Racer, Twisted Metal, Hardware: Online Arena, NFS U2/Most Wanted, Race Driver series, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Forza Motorsport 3, DiRT games, Project CARS, The Crew and probably some others I have no doubt forgotten.
8. Hey Rassva, the way the sun's light is dimming out but still bright enough to illuminate the sky (those colours!) and lightly kiss areas of the darker shadowed areas is making for a really great shot.
9. Apologies Djey in getting a proper answer back to you until now. Throughout a test period of more than a month, I monitored the click-through on threads showing on the sidebar blocks and found that those in the Mod Shop (MS) received less attention than non-MS related topics; in fact most visitors for that go through the MS forums directly. So I made the decision to remove threads/replies from the MS from showing on those blocks. You can still see what had been posted all over by using the 'Recent' main navigation link or by clicking 'Today's Posts' under the 'Quick Links' secondary navigation if it is showing to you. 10. That is a really nice shot, should be proud of that one.
11. That 4C Spider is . I think the new class of Mercs have went more gentle than the more aggressive nature of the previous.
12. I really hate Lambo steering wheels right now, they seem to bulbous and cheap looking. Is that SV Roadster a customer car or a dealership configuration?
13. Well we knew DC VR was one of the main attractions that was being developed for PS VR so it's not that much of a surprise. And yeah DC is under another branch of Sony now and so will get support, but it's whether the team who now has it is on the same wavelength of not only talent, but also passion for the title to keep the good vibes and work that Evo delivered despite its terrible beginnings. Anyway... work began yesterday on their new racing game:
Paul Rustchynsky‏ @Rushy33 Today I start my new job at Codemasters and get to work on a new racing IP! Excited to finally get started :) #MondaysCanBeGood 7:47 a.m. - 25 Apr 2016
14. Not declared a winner yet as we lost out on a week of voting and until I am confident we can get that the poll will stay closed and so will this thread. :sorry:
15. [headline]... PART 2[/headline] Well that went well. As you know things hit the fan the past few and now I am hopeful that the issue has been found and that we can get back to normal operations. What the issue appeared to be was a faulty node, causing problems many times throughout each day to the point where the system would basically say 'I've had enough of this crap, goodbye!'. As of yesterday we were moved to a newly setup node and so far from what I have been able to monitor and see, things are going as you would expect. I'm not completely confident it's fully sorted and it will take a bit to reassure me that this is the case, as if this whole thing has taught me one thing: it is to expect hell to rain down on you and be pleasantly surprised if/when it doesn't. I'd appreciate if you see the 'Scotty!' message or find another issue to post it so I can look further into it and rule out the need to put myself into the foetal position and cry loudly. Should all be right in the tduck world then exciting and frightening times are ahead.
16. This is just my review of recent personal owned HD800, HE-400i, AD900X Since I have owned many other headphones currently and in the past, I feel that I should have a good taste of the audio world My desktop setup: P1 > M8 > VA2 This is the SMSL stack consists of power supply, DAC and AMP Sennheiser HD800 was widely regarded as world's best consumer headphone when it was released Til today it is still considered by many, the best dynamic headphone in the world Sennheiser is known for making legendary audiophile headphones like HD600 and HD650 despite those two being over 20 years old, many still recommend them as one of the best entry level Now back to the HD800 impressions The sound is crystal clear and accurate, use it to listen to music I have been listening for many time before and I would notice some details that I have never heard before Being a neutral headphone, suitable for almost any type of music No matter low, mid or treble, the headphone outputs amazing sound from whatever you throw at it This is very AMP picky headphone for very good reason, because it will show every single detail so having a bad source will give you same result (also poor recording as well) And I was skeptical when people told me you can hear the differences in bad recording VS master recording, I sincerely believe it now after listened to this phone even though you can drive it with your smartphone, but to get the best performance out of this pair of cans, you will need a dedicated setup HD800 A/B compare against HE-400i (It is not a fair comparison, more like if you upgrade here is the main difference you will get) First thing I noticed is HD800 opens up a huge sound-stage Despite both headphones are fully open back design, meaning if I talk to someone while having them on my head, I would be able to hear every single word like I am not wearing anything at all So in comparison, the HE400i sounds narrow both headphones have great charity but unlike the HE400i HD800 has very bright and energetic vocal In comparison, when female vocals reach their highest point, that impact is missing in the HE400i, while it is well presented in the HD800 at high frequency it might be little piercing for some but it all comes down to personal preference In regard to this, I have to talk a little bit about myself, I love Japanese Anime and the shows are very much female voice centered when I watch anime with HD800, those brightness piercing female voices sound extremely satisfying At comfort stage, HD800 is little lighter than HE400i in terms of weight However when I put it on my head, the comfort level is not just a little this is due to overall design of HD800 that evenly distributes its weight with headband and earpads it doesn't have the huge clamping force like HE400i Normally with other phones, you eye glasses bands with be pushed against your head and fixed at one location but due to the large ear cup and small clamp force, I am able to adjust my glasses with them on, however the small force still present If I wasn't wearing glasses, I would totally feel like the headphone melts on my head In terms of dimension, even though both are full size headphone, but HD800 ear cups are wider and longer than the HE400i When I try to watch Anime while laying my back against the back of my bed with resting pillow, I often find the HD800 hitting the pillow For those of you interested in major change between the HD800 and newly released HD800S at the whopping price tag of $1799 (other than the color of course) 1, the HD800S smooths out the somewhat piercing sound in the treble area 2, Improvement over bass Some example tracks: 虹の音 - 藍井エイル | Shirushi - LiSA : not sure if I can describe well, if you have heard both sounds, you would know the first song has a climax (high point) and there are two for the latter song, they sound very clear but not over piercing, HD800 reaches that highest treble at the exact right point before gets annoying My Treasure - 茅原実里 solo sounded as her voice bounce back in space So in the end, my favorite female vocal tracks sound very much alive and lovely satisfying Hifiman HE400i People would think entry level planar magnetic headphone is already mid-gear in audiophile headphones This is somewhat not true, at least to this date, Fostex has some sub 300 level planar cans that are beloved by modding community, although you can't find anything planar lower than that, that's why I said "somewhat", the price level is subjective after all HE400i A/B compare against AD900X Again, like the previous one, this is not very fair comparison because their price point is at different level The first thing I noticed is the big improvements over the low and mid range due to this sound signature, it is very good at genres like rock, jazz and male vocals Being a planar headphone, BASS of HE400i is in a huge lead does not come as surprise to me However, in contrast to the above difference, the highs of HE400i do not wow me It has very good clarity, but the female vocals sound flat, there is not particular bright point The sound stage is tight, especially after tried HD800 In terms of comfort, I think the AD900X wins here by being a much lighter headphone as I didn't feel any clamp force from the pads Audio Technica AD900X is probably the best value phone at its price point Due to Japan's pop and Anime culture, most of the Japanese headphones I have heard have done a wonderful job on trebles Among all those Japanese headphone companies, Audio Technica still stands out to be the top in regard to special tuning for female vocals Like the HE400i, the AD900X is particular good at certain genre of music (e.g Anime, female vocal, Orchestra) Due to the nature of open back design, AD900X lacks bass The highs sound fun, but low and mid are medieval core Because the nature of its sound signature, AD900X can be little fatiguing when listen over long period of time In terms of comfort, I think the self adjusting headband has done an amazing job The headphone feels plastic, but it is understandable for this price range I don't recall I have notice any big difference in how large the sound space is between the HE400i and AD900X In other words, AD900X has very wide sound stage as one of the selling points for its price In the end, I have settled with my HD800, is it worth? you might ask All I can tell you is, this picture summarized my feeling when I put the cans on I am planing to purchase desktop VR, can't wait to combo it with the HD800

18. That is a lovely little motor you got there. Looks fun even at a standstill.
19. It will be good to see another open world racer despite what it may be aiming for as it gives more options to people to experience this type of game. Will watch out for news and info about it anyway to see where it goes.
