  1. Lol, I did my training for multi-engine certification in one of them before I switched to the far superior BN2 Islander. The Baron just lacks the specialness to me, though I'm not a great general aviation fan at all. The one I did my training in had curtains that could be pulled over side windows, which I thought could've been quite dangerous. Eeks. I flew in one of them from Hong Kong to Singapore, they are bloody loud things - they handed out earmuffs before we took off.
  2. Stop motion is the correct term for it, yeah. We did it all digitally in post-production for cost reasons. The easiest way to do it is to blur the top and bottom of the image so it is only the object in focus. I only know the theory from watching a bunch of camera geeks do it, but I'm sure there are guides around the interwebs for it.
  3. That's stop-start animation. Tilt shift is a photographic technique by tilting the lens to change the camera's focus. It is used to make real life look like miniatures/models. Used it once at work when creating an advertisement, pretty nifty stuff.
  4. Go to Settings->Installation Directory Change it to X:\your\tdu\path\ Remember the trailing backslash.
  5. I don't really get the high life argument for not including cars. I know many extremely well off people who still drive around in crap. Most comparable would be my neigbour behind me who has a fleet of extremely expensive Holdens/HSVs and Fords/FPVs and a MiG fighter jet. Drives around in a Corolla and one of my close friends has a small collection of car porn, but drives a Daihatsu Terios for his daily work. Rich people are allowed to buy pick up trucks too....and hatchbacks, and muscle cars. You would tire of endlessly driving around in Ferrari's and Bugatti's and Koenigsegg's and crave a hatchback in which your back won't hurt when you go over a bump or your eyes squeezed out when you tap the accelerator.
  6. Only if it's for sale in the dealer, I dunno if it. That's an easy carData.mdb update though, as with your Corvette issue (when you load the Corvette the HUD is left blank)
  7. In short terms, no. It is not worth the money.
  8. Thread subscriptions could do the job, not ideal though, but they will always stay in your UserCP.
  9. Yeah, after you swap the A6 with the R8 and usie the autoinstaller, the Farboud will still get the extra physics but the A6 won't.
  10. Ok, the autoinstallers should work. But I'm not gonna bother trying to figure out why they aren't. If you are bodyswapping (putting a mod onto a car that it wasn't meant to go on) then that cause troubles. Yes, just copy the numbers as you did and just hit Ctrl+H and replace spaces with semeicolons.
  11. You can. There are sort tools down the bottom of the page.
  12. I agree with you on that one. And I just checked my flight details for tonight, and I'm out on an Airbus A340, which I think would have to be my favourite airliner, with the possible exception of the 747.
  13. Don't have 1.68 installed yet, but the next version of TDUPE will be fully compatible with TDUMT 1.14 and Patch 1.68.
  14. I'm an aircraft man really, prefer them to cars. There's a Mig-15 that does joyrides over here that is pretty sweet and my Cessna is an awesome piece of machinery. However, very few planes have a personality, and there are few I've seen that really capture my imagination. Among those are the Air Tractor, Boeing 747, C130 Hercules Concorde and the Antonov An-124. Planes I have never seen or heard in person that I think are fabulous pieces of engineering are the SR71, F-117 and umm...Thunderbird 1.
  15. 1.67 is a requirement for TDUPE, especially physics installers since they tend to change the name of the car. Resource changes sometimes require 1.67 to work.
  16. I use a generic wheel since my logitech broke, and it's just as good really, despite the slightly dogier manual gearbox. And it does have indicators :) There's the paddle's for changing gears and then a separate set which I use for horn and lights in TDU, but would work better as indicators.
  17. Oops, forgot to vote for the FXX. Ah well, out of the ones I voted it'd probably be the Koenigsegg, Lambo SV or Caddy 16 I'd like to see the most.
  18. You can indeed change the appearance in 3.0 as you can see from the screenshot of a few posts back. But in 2.5, no. That string in the config file is not used at all. If you are using a irregular theme though that's messing with the controls, whether it be Alienware or whatnot, the chances of any appearance changes in 3.0 working are slim.
  19. Hmm, you should have the following: CarShops.hex output.hex TDU_CarPhysicsData.db TDU_CarPhysicsData.us TDU_CarShops.db Redownload 2.5, place it in a directory by itself and double check that your TDU directory is correct. Then recheck that the files in the temp directory exist, both first when you run the application and again whe you press save.
  20. Ok, have you checked every value to make sure nothing is left blank. Also check the "temp" folder to make sure "output.hex" is there.
  21. 1. This editor can work without the megapack, but I wouldn't recommend it and won't provide support if something goes wrong. 2. You can change the names of the cars online, yes.
  22. None of my concern, if you are you are going to be a ******, I'm not going to stop you. I am smart enough to not post pictures of my bank balance or my house or whatnot on the internet. I'm not trying to cover a loss. It's not a loss because I get something out of it. I payed $500 for a PS3, then gave it to my niece. I made no money out of it and don't have a console, but its still worth the $500 to know she's happy and for the thank you. With this model, if it turns out well, at least several people will thank me. The modelling is a complex job which is fantastic to get away from work (it's how TDUPE was born) and at the end of it all I have a wicked car to zip around in that I will probably never get to drive in real life. I'm not doing this to make money, I have no desire to make money from this. At all. None of you would pay it and I wouldn't make more than a few dollars back anyway. And FYI, I spent much more on development of TDUPE - dunno if you've ever checked but Visual Studio doesn't exactly cost the same as a cup of coffee. Indeed. While I haven't gotten any back on this model I do have used models of a Ferrari 458, Toyota Camry and a generic ute which are all suitable for TDU. I just liked this car a lot better than those. +1. It doesn't bother me overally, but yes. So in short terms. I just want an SSC in the game. The fact that I'm releasing it is just cause I'm nice.
  23. From what I can tell, you've left a value blank when you've hit save. You may have also hit "Save All" without hitting "Save Car" first.
