  1. in addition to your suggestions, Bugs to be fixed: -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- -You can't see the dirt on windows from the cockpit -there are invisible bumps and walls near the elevated junctions -The head movement in the cockpit isn't accurate , I'm not expecting Shift quality but it's really rubbish. It has no idea what to do in collisions and jumps sometimes it goes off the rooftop. -Online interactions including clubs are totally unreliable. -In some cars the gearbox style hasn't mapped out correctly. So you have a pedal shift gearbox animation in the ascari for example. -Viper's and Veyron ss' top gear is bugged. Its ratio is way too low. -All the graphic/visual glitches of tdu1 still exists. Like the needle in viper's rev counter gets bigger and smaller. -A lot of objects float about (Traffic signs, traffic lights, curbs etc.) -I don't know if anyone else noticed this but I experience frame skips which I never had before. -Far objects are unrendered , badly textured , sometimes seems like floating. -You can see the shadow of the trees at night. -Actually night shadows are completely missing by that I mean the shadows created by headlights and stuff. Suggestions/missing things -I want the old photomode back. The new one is completely useless. You can't really move the camera position around and there is no forcal lenght. -The session doesn't pause when you pause it. So you can't take action/flying pictures. -Being able to bookmark places outside roads. -I won't get in to digital gauges because I know a bit of programming and that is damn hard to program they'll never bother with it , but at least put something on them. I mean ariel atoms dials are just blank. -Indicator sound or at least a light in the dashboard.(same goes to headlights) I'll keep it updated that's all in my mind right now.
  2. I can understand your frustration, I think we all have it well with few exceptions. I'm not sure what Atari was thinking. Obviously they wanted to go mainstream and do a game for the consoles meaning more cash perhaps. Though I can't really work out what was wrong with tdu1's system. You had an arcade and an hardcore mode in the same game. It works brilliant , maybe it'll be a dlc , it's making me think..
  3. V8Ks hurrah! I still think you shouldn't use that ss des:P And I can see my zonda! nice shots. +rep and that
  4. I agree with you although not sure you've given physics enough bashing:P Playing with a wheel, it is quite a challenge. Steering brakes and the clutch have no sense that is the biggest problem with it. Also I'm quite sad to see this game was obviously built in really hard conditions. When you look at the games released these days , technically tdu2 is nowhere near. Shoddy graphics, lots of bugs, many things haven't been thought through. However I do not think this game was developed in 4 years. I believe atari was going through financial issues , and most of the game is made of recycled materials. So I believe it took a bit less than that , nevertheless not an excuse when you pay £30.
  5. I did the same thing, installed all the mods back again as well. It just offers you 80% of the fun without the ridiculous physics.
  6. that is quite critical for the future of this game.
  7. in certain cars when you jump going in cockpit view, your head goes off the roof top, you can see the road from up there:P and also I've noticed especially a lot in oahu some invisible walls near the junctions where the roads coming down from a hill. Also the ascari a10 has a sequental gear lever not pedals. Yet the animation is pedal shift, oh and as mentioned you can't sell your cars, this wouldn't be so annoying if the signature cars like miami's mustang was tradable.
  8. quite agree with you sir. I've posted mine ages ago actually in the atari forums: --------- So tdu2 , night drive , dynamic weather you're all excited I bet. And I was too a year ago when it was announced. Because I was a huge fan of the original. Although before you rush into the shops and buy it I got some news for you. This game has a huge problem: The Physics yes the pyhsics. I have a g25 racing wheel and I've never felt so detached from it. I was expecting at least an improvement given that one of the aspects that made the original game legenedary was its hardcore mode. It was the only game to support the clutch accurately until gt5 came along. Meanwhile in the eden studios too many people were busy designing plastic surgery buildings and new sofas so they forgot to add the full clutch support. Nowadays it's more like a button, it's on or off. The clutch however is not a problem compared to what steering has. It really has no feeling at all, no matter what combination you try the force feedback is a joke. And don't get me started on the brakes. The button fashion continues with that as well. You can pretty much stop in 2 secs no matter what speed you're travelling at. The gearing is an issue as well. In the old game if a car had a proper manual gearbox you would use the h-shifter. And if the car had pedal shift gearbox you'd use them. Though the guys at eden thought what we needed was a system that wouldn't support both of them at the same time. So you have to get into options and change the setting every time you change your car(gearbox style) Don't get me wrong I like all the new stuff but I just think before having our avatars moving around the buildings we should get some sort of pleasure from driving as well. So there we are , I assume I can think of 1 remarkable aspect of tdu2 and that is , it reminded us how good the original was. ---------- in addition > -game is full of glitches/bugs (most of them are collisions and textures) -It seems to me like an half-arsed job this game, but it's only fair because atari is nearly going bankrupt and there's evidence for it all over the place -Photomode is a disgrace, I've never seen anything ruined this badly. You can't actually pause any moment while driving around with your friends. So if you want to take an action or a flying shot go and play tdu1... Oh and there's no forcal lenght so there's not a lot to do with the photomode. -People say graphics have improved, no they haven't? You can see the shadows of trees on the ground at nights, the headlights have no effect on any shadow(dx9 still..) , far objects are still unrendered or rendered badly. Some of the cockpit textures are taken straight out of test drive 6
  9. ah good, I thought you were going to refer to handling somewhat.
