  1. I'm glad to hear the project is finally nearing completion. Great work thus far, I'm impressed by your perseverance.
  2. I actually like the Saturn Sky... it seems like my vehicular tastes differ from most. But I agree the SSR is ugly and mostly useless.
  3. Oh, I didn't know the Karmann Ghia was in UCP. That's great, I love that car. 'Tis a shame about the removal of the Corvair, though. I find it funny how the UCP had so many cars, there are lots I had no idea were in the mod at all, as I never ran into them in the game.
  4. Yeah, I remember trying out the BMW M1 in UCP, and I saw the test drive lady was sitting on the manual shifter, with half of her body clipping through the car's floor. It was a really awkward experience, not gonna lie. Sorry in advance if this question has already been answered, but will Platinum "fix" quirks like those?
  5. I'm sorry to hear about the corrupted download. I imagine trying to get working versions of several cars is a very difficult feat, given how old most of the mods for the game are.
  6. Wonderful! I also like the pseudo-fog effect on the first image. I'm still waiting for the GSX pic tho
  7. Oh, cool. Enjoy your vacation. You deserve one, after everything you've done for the community.
  8. Hey, unless I'm mistaken, I noticed you skipped Mitsubishi in your updates. Why is that? (I'm really curious to see how the Eclipse GSX's looking like.)
  9. Hey, if it isn't too much to ask for, would you be alright with giving us an early release for Platinum's custom weather and textures? Or is that still a work-in-progress? Or do you otherwise want to keep it a surprise for when Platinum is released for good?
  10. It sounds to me like you're running the game faster than 90fps. The game cannot handle processing traffic behaviour, which result in them going absolutely nuts during gameplay. The further your FPS goes higher than 90, the crazier traffic gets. Limit it to 90 or 60 fps to fix this problem. The Project Paradise launcher has a built-in, easy-to-use option that automatically does this for you. (In 2018, you should be using Project Paradise anyways.)
  11. So, I have two questions. First, do you plan on adding replacements for traffic cars, or at least a custom add-on that replaces traffic vehicles? I ask this because I've seen some pictures of TDU in the past that had clearly modded traffic in the background (I remember two of them being an AMC Pacer and a Volkswagen Beetle), and since then, I've wished to have something like that in my game... particularly because I love the idea of rolling around with a cool sports car, or a high-end luxurious car, next to casual city cars, or even old beaters. However, I haven't found any mods like that, unfortunately, and most traffic mods are long since unavailable. One such picture can be seen here, salvaged from a site that no longer seems to host it. It also has a texture mod I like, but I can't find it anywhere. Next, how many events will take advantage of the new car brands and types? I imagine that a more diverse branch of car classes and restrictions can make the game be more unique, since each different car you buy would lead you to a different tree of events. However, I imagine it would be hard to implement, as there wouldn't be enough events to have enough for all different car brands from each stage of progression, unless it's possible for races to have more than one car restriction. And even if they could, this would actually make the earlygame harder, as it would severely limit the amount of events one could try as they wouldn't easily have the money necessary to buy more cars. That is, unless they constantly grind the events to re-obtain the pittance of money from early-game races... or if the rewards for the races are increased to compensate.
  12. I am really sorry to hear that. Cumulative stress tends to cause that. I do recommend taking a break to get some breathing room, as continuously overworking yourself is definitely not healthy. Also, I know I am not particularly active around here(I mostly peek in and out sometimes), but I wish you good luck in handling the forums regardless. Hopefully it'll work out. And yes, I agree that the forum format is largely outdated after being mostly supplanted by Discord. Though, in my experience, forums can be more polite and easier to moderate than Discord chatrooms, which are prone to being rather chaotic.
  13. Here is my much-overdue "car lag" list, from the cars I have personally tried: [No lag] Acura NSX Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 Dodge Viper GTS Honda NSX-T Lamborghini Jalpa Lamborghini Diablo SV Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV Mazda MX-5 Miata Mazda RX-7 Type-R Mitsubishi Lancer EVOLUTION IX Nissan 240SX SE Nissan 300ZX Nissan Silvia S15 Toyota GT86 Toyota Supra RZ [Little lag] Toyota Celica GT-Four RC [Moderate lag] <None.> [severe lag] Chevrolet Corvette C4 Grand Sport Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R V-Spec Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec II Toyota Sprinter Trueno Obviously, this doesn't come even close to 20% of the complete car list, but I don't have the time or patience to test out all of them. Hopefully, the ones I have tested and listed here should help people out in the future.
  14. I'm late, but I'm super happy to hear that you managed to make the missions utilize the modded cars. I've been thinking some time ago about how playing with the custom cars actually puts the player at a disadvantage, since the vehicle restrictions only take the vanilla vehicles into account. Hopefully, your discovery should make it possible to rectify that mistake.
  15. That, and there's a finite number of 360s out there. It's too high a risk for a low pay-out.
  16. You're welcome, and thank you for the solution. I'll give it a shot. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, however. As for what I don't like about the morning, it's mostly because it's way too yellow, so it looks unrealistic and weird. It's true that mornings are usually yellow-coloured, but that's mostly in the moments when the sun's poking out of the horizon. Past that, morning is usually a peaceful purplish/pinkish blue, quite pretty to look at. Can't really upload a video, but I did take several photos of me cruising around with this mod(alongside the UCP), documenting the gorgeous scenes I've seen. I need to get 20 posts before I'm allowed to post links and pictures, however.
  17. Regarding vehicles changing: Ah, I see. So basically kind of what happened when I installed the UCP and tried using my pre-UCP save file, haha. Will it also undo tuning upgrades? Also, VanillaPanda, good luck crusing the island with that Citroen, it'll be tedious but super silly, especially if it's a sleeper that can keep up with powerful cars
