  1. Shiny things are shiny, nice :nods: When are they being fitted? I need a SC of the new exhaust sound when it's on, don't expect me to be positive about it, i'm just intrigued by it :p If this is not enough to encourage you to get your frigging Driving Licence then what the hell will be? :p
  2. I think out of the list I provided, i'd most likely end up with the 570S (well, the GT, but that's 4k over the budget provided), though I'd probably visit an Aston dealership and see if the DB11 is worthy. I'm still not 100% sold on the design of it. Whereas the 570 is a rather special car.
  3. I think this is a huge improvement over the F10 tbh, obviously it's evolution rather than revolution but isn't every new model like that nowadays, I think it's a much more mature design and has brought it up to 2016-2017 design language etc. I'm interesting in seeing what the non M-Sport model looks like, as I find the base spec cars give you a better idea of how good a design actually is than the top-spec ones, even though most models you see are M-Sport. The interior is shockingly awful imo, the materials and build quality might be sky high but the design is just really awful, not at all stylish and have they actually reduced the amount of buttons on the interior in comparison to the F10? I'd have thought it was quite rare nowadays to see such a huge revamp with such a small leap in interior design philosophy. The outside of the 5 series, the driving dynamics of the XF and the interior of the Audi A4/Q7 would make the best combination I think.
  4. 2017 Nissan GT-R Nismo: £149,995!!!???!!!!????!!!!????!!!!????!!!!???!!!??? The newest godzilla will now cost more than: - Porsche 911 Turbo S (£145,773) - Porsche 911 R (£136,901) - Porsche 911 GT3 RS (£131,296) - Mercedes S63 Coupé (£127,515) - Audi R8 V10 Plus (£132,715) - McLaren 570S (£143,250) - 98% of a brand new Ferrari California T (you need an extra 5k, but still.....) :ytwh: - 98% of a brand new Aston Martin DB11 (you need an extra 5k, but still.....) :ytwh: I'm sorry but it just isn't worth it. All those cars might be slower around a track, but they're more exotic and have more luxurious interiors. At some point milliseconds off of a nurburgring track record has to stop being important or else we'd all be driving Radical SR8s to work.
  5. The satin paint mixed with the stripes is absolutely disgusting. That paint is very very hit and miss, the stripes are 100% awful, so it's very bizarre. What are merc playing at? Is the chav market really big enough to cater too?
  6. Wider arches and a body coloured deployable/active aero style wing like the ones on the old R8s would be ideal I think.
  7. Would love to experience that. Loved the way he threw it around that final corner.
  8. I love that satin colour but :hmmm: not the most discreet car is it? I'd have it over an M4 any day.
  9. They're not, it's the laughter from the audience back in James Corden's studio. Is it geoblocked for you Ry? I always watch Corden's videos without any VPN or issue at all. Nice video, they all seemed quite relaxed unscripted.
  10. That peugeot interior looks rather good imo. With the absolutely blandest of bland interiors VW and its subsidiaries have been pumping out for the past decade or two I think that interior is refreshing. The quality in pug interiors has improved a fair bit but still has some ground to make up on to rival some of the other high volume crossovers. I don't expect it to be to everyone's tastes, but it does offer something different and can you imagine dads picking up their sons and their friends in it and showing them a sci-fi batmobile looking interior?
  11. 2018 BMW X2 Concept: Images from Autocar Sporty looking crossover, bigger and more stylish than the X1, I do think it will sell but this is one of those concept designs where you can already see where the value engineering will focus on, where all the plastics, smaller wheels and wipers etc will make this clean looking design look about 1/4th as good. 2017 BMW Nissan Micra: images from Autocar This isn't actually that bad. It is one of those cars that should be renamed to something new because a lot of people in the UK would definitely rule out buying a Micra due to its name and the stigma attached to it. 2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake: I hadn't seen this spy shot prior to reading that they've confirmed the estate version of the XF is on its way, so this is pretty good news. XF-R Sportbrake plz? Jaguar seem quite slow at releasing new models. Expected an XF-R or sportbrake earlier than this. Honda Civic Type R Images from Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die Yes please. This looks much better than the previous model, which never really won me over. Audi RS3 Sedan Images from Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die Drove past an S3 sedan yesterday, looks much better than the Hatchback. Yes please. 2017 Audi Q5: Images from Autocar I was quite negative about this car until I saw it today, I think the front end looks like a really mature and complete design. Stylish and expensive looking. It's a shame the rear doesn't look quite as evolutionary as it just looks the same. Last but not least for this post... Ummm, this Lexus UX: Image from Autocar GO HOME LEXUS YOU'RE DRUNK
  12. Very indifferent towards the car until I see pics/specs  2017 Land Rover Discovery: Images from Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die Within the article: Not bad for a car that will only ever really do the school run :hmmm: Shame the design looks like other crossovers/SUVs and isn't very distinctive.
  13. This would be quite confusing really, Amazon have paid a hell of a lot for the show so for them to then alienate some of TG's core demographic unnecessarily would be highly bizarre. Although it would be a positive change for me personally.
  14. Anxious about the new LR Discovery, the pics we've already seen make it look rather ungainly and bloated. Would have loved for it to be stunning and utilitarian. The Q5 looks like it's been a very half-arsed refresh on the exterior, but it was the interior that was lacking. I think the new one will sell well.
  15. So on my first ever drive (excluding the test drive) of the new car I spotted some weird roadster drive past, very bizarre looking and my Mum was like 'wth is that!' and for once I didn't actually have an answer :p I was too busy concentrating on not crashing the car/getting used to the controls, so I didn't get a picture but after an internet search I've found that I'd seen this: 2001 Jenson S-V8  One of 32 made I think. Has a V8 producing 325bhp. Pretty rare spot i'd say, one that Calster will probably appreciate more than most of you, shame i didn't get a pic of my own.
  16. The Volvo is much better but I do actually quite like that E-Class. It looks classy and I just think a respectable nice person would purchase it.
  17. Yup I agree, I respect and admire and would happily purchase one of the cars but people need to get over the word replica being a pejorative term and just start using them more accurately.
  18. Knew exactly what video it would be when I saw you'd posted in this thread :p Watched it this morning, it's a great video but as with the Alfa PurSang video he did a while ago, I'm not sure I agree with some of the things he says when labeling the PurSang vehicles. He tries to say it's not a replica when it without a doubt is a replica in my eyes, it's just that the word replica is usually associated with vehicles not worthy of the name and so when a suitable vehicle rolls up it's almost offensive to label it as such.
  19. Yup I agree. When you factor in how how sterile, minimalist, futuristic-looking and engineering focused both brands are, mixed with how much they hate 3rd party interference (they don't like you opening the engine hood of McLarens, Apple are notoriously closed off) then you do start to think it could be a match made in heaven. They can have Applied Technologies for all I care, a Jonathan Ive design with Mclaren Applied Technology engineering would be amazing. But I'd rather McLaren Automotive stayed independent of Apple.
