February 29, 2008 Hey Everyone – Just as I called it, the Xbox 360 patch for Call of Duty 4 passed certification by the weekend, and started hitting consoles near you this morning. For those of you wondering what’s been changed, a full list of the newness is: New Kill Cams - Everything that can kill you has a Kill Cam now. Grenades, Airstrikes, Claymores, C4, M203 Rounds, RPGs, anything. So jump online, get owned alittle and check them out. They’re awesome, especially Grenades and M203 shots that go across the map and through a window. Host Migration - Host migration was added, so now when the host leaves you won’t get dropped back to your own lobby by yourself. Everyone will stay together. Host Leaves, everyone returns to lobby, selects next best host, and the game starts up again. No more re-inviting, re-partying up because a host ended the game. Next time you’re dead in Search and Destroy and just watching your team mates do stuff you know you can do better, now do it in 1st person or rotate around them. Quick Mute Option - Now you can easily and quickly mute players in-game or in-lobby without ever going through the Xbox Live blades. Just go to their gamertag on screen and hit ‘A’ to quick mute in lobby, or via the in-game scoreboard if playing. Quick. Easy. Salvation! In addition to these feature additions there will also be: Improved Network Performance For Larger Games - 18 player games now require more bandwidth to host, resulting in smoother performance for players. Optimized Server Selection for First Match - Server selection is now optimized to select best bandwidth servers associated by LSP. Well I don't think I can add alot more than whats already been said, I can merely agree or disagree with people. I agree on the fact that the filter is a bit OTT on some words that have been mentioned and the facted that these words are used on a regular basis on pre watershed prgrammes. The most memorable one is what has now become James Mays favourite word on Top Gear which rhymes with "Rock", But here is **** (yes I did type astrix not the word). But the extreme words that rhyme with "runt" are to far. Saying that alot of people think the word that rhymes with "duck" are a bit far but as MadMax pointed out "ffs", "wtf" and "lmfao" are deemed acceptable. I presume that the letter "f" may be seen as different words by different people. I must admit on the subject of the "p" word is a bit of a grey area and dependant on the mood of the mods. I got infracted for using it in the phrase "piece of p" but I did get round the filter by using doller signs. I thought in that phrase it would not cause offence to anyone the same as the phrase i'm geting "p" as i wasn't directing it at anyone but I still got an infraction. Anyways swearing is something that I do not want to become a common place on this board as I think it would ruin it. As I have said above certain words I would not bother me as long as they were not used in an insulting way towards people on or off the board (members or non members). But the use of the stronger words is a no go. Thats my opinion. Also well done on the people who have already contribute some well written replyies and well done on Baxie for approaching this subject.

Not really, its just where I had to sign up to codemasters to get the Colin Mcrae Dirt codes so I'm now on there mailing list. I'm on so many different ones now and thats how I find out about all the games and site launches and pre release compititions and stuff.

That was a good read and interesting. Is nice to know what the developers ideas are and what they aim to do. Also its good that a group of developers from different companies can sit in a room and discuss the good and bad points of each others games and rivals with respect for each other.

Thought you would go and get one. Personally I think if blu ray does take over from normal DVD's then I think M$ will definately make a stand alone player. It might be a while or the replacement to the 360 that will get a built in one unless theres another format out by that time.

WOW, that looks the nuts, the images they have of it look imense just by the detail in the tattoo's and what looks like a car customisation screen. It seems like they have taken the gang side of GTA/Getaway and the Law enforcement side from True Crime and put them into one game. Thanks for the Info Hybrid

I'm on recreation and I've lost stars before, but thats due to people on FIFA 07 who can't take being beat and start doing the speed glitch and still don't win. But you can easily regain stars, as this happened when I didn't have a headset after a good game I just sent a message to that person saying good game well played and 9 times out of ten I get a similar message back and rep off them.

You have to watch series one behore series 2. I didn't see the last episode of the 1st series and saw the 1st one of the second series last night and it not only ruins it, you wont actually know whats going on.
