  1. ^^^Tee Hee. I wonder how long its going to be before we start getting charged for Avatar gear. I can already see a huge line of EA labelled gear and R* stuff shortly after that ;)
  2. Kingdom of Keflings is an awesome game though! When I dl'd it last week i was on it for nearly 7 hours straight! My wife was peeved about it big style.
  3. Will be interesting to see if this works (although not sure if my laptop speakers will be good enough), there are shed loads of mossies around right now.
  4. I think thats as good as I can do for now... too much was going on for me to give a proper go. :cheeky:
  5. George Lazenby would have been Bond many more times, but his agent convinced him that the franchise would not last. So he turned down the role for his second a future Bond roles. Still we can't go having an Aussie as Bond eh?! ;) Saw an interview with Roger Moore the other day and he wants to come back as a villain! I once kayaked past Roger Moore's house in Falmouth Bay... he wasn't there though. :)
  6. Does no one remember all the installation issues when HL2 first came out with the Steam activation. That took hours for me to install :) To be fair to R* though, I can understand the reason for trying to make the game a bit future proof for the PC. But the high end setting could maybe have been released as an update further down the line. Then it would have been more of an incentive to get an official copy of the game, if you wanted to play with max settings.
  7. I'm a bit disappointed tbh! :o But the wording is very confusing. Atari aren't going to look at TDU2 for 2009!? Is that from our perspective meaning, we won't hear anything about the game; or is it from theirs meaing, their not going to do anything about the game in 2009? I rather hope its the first option... However, as long as the game gets properly made, I'll be happy.
  8. "Most users using current PC hardware as of December 2008 are advised to use medium graphics settings. Higher settings are provided for future generations of PCs with higher specifications than are currently widely available. " http://www.rockstargames.com/support/gta4pc/docs/G TAIV%20Graphics%20Settings.doc
  9. Over at GTAGaming.com i haven't heard of one person who is able to play on the highest settings. Most can barely even manage the mid range settings. Apparently R* have designed the highest settings with specs that even top end systems don't have yet...?! It is worth nothing though that even at 'low' the game should look and run far nice than it does on any console. Can't wait to see what mods poeple can create for this version though. It might even tempt me to get a better PC... hang on what am I saying, no it won't. :)
  10. I think you can get away with an Ipod :) Especially if you're not bothered about having the lastest one.
  11. I was also on the site pretty much straight after I heard of the accident, infact, even before they confirmed it was him. But talk of a tribute game didn't appear for a couple of weeks and was not on there for long either. Again though, my earlier post: "if you bother to visit the McRae site..." was not intentionally directed at you. The only part of my thread that was, was regarding the initial release of DiRT.
  12. No slpitscreen, and the online was rubbish too. You couldn't even see the other players, and were only given a split time of how they were doing on the track. WHAT??:ill: Chillax. I didn't imply anything. Please don't over react. The first part of my post was referring to your comment about its release. But I have to say it again because its twice now you haven't read my posts*: DiRT had been out a long time before Colin died! The rest was about Colin's name on the game which was more relevant to other posts in this thread. * which is especially annoying because you're giving me a hard time for it! Well done for guessing my name though Jimbo, I bet that was real hard.... see I can be a tool about things too.
  13. LOL, not seen that one yet. there's another one of a M$ vs Apple fight in a Starwars style... very funny.
  14. Mcrae didn't die just before DiRT was released?! It had been out for ages before that. As far as the McRae name goes, I figure they're keeping it as a tribute. In fact if you bother to visit the McRae site (google it) you would have known that less than a month after his death the family were talking about a tribute game with codemasters! For the game itself, I really can't wait for this! I loved the first one. Now DiRT2 will have multiplayer, its going to be even better. Not sure what so so wrong with the physics of the last one though, they always felt real tight when I played it. :)
  15. Lego Star Wars: TCS - 5.8gb
  16. Yeah it should be. Aren't woolies going bust though? I'd be more concerned about that. Cancel it now and pre-order from Amazon. :)
  17. Dayam 2 months away. Wonder if this delay will affect TDU2 also?!
  18. Great video Diablo... makes me want that R8 even more now. just the miles and specials to go.
  19. @Nodz: Tony Mason. I always used to look forward to the rallying segments.
  20. yeah, thats always the best way. Give yourself a choice: PC/360/PS3... only a baby fanboy will stick to one and forgo the others.
  21. Far Cry 2 - 4.5gb **** 3 - 6.3gb Unreal Tournament 3 - 6.4gb NFS: Pro Street - 5.5gb
  22. The problem is people are buying them still. Until that stops BMW will keep producing the turd and continue violating a piece of British history.
  23. No, it makes much less noise than my old 360. I was comparing it to itself. When it runs the game from the disc its pretty quiet, but when it runs the HDD, its not noticeably quieter. :)
  24. Ditto. If I don't spend any money for 4 years I'll have saved up enough for one of those... What a B E A U Tiful car. or even better, i'll buy JC's old one when he does the swap. Top Gear's LP560 Spyder article
