  1. I guess they felt they had already extracted as much money from the niche community as possible so what's the point of continuing work (besides having a passion for the game). Will bite them later.
  2. No, not you. He knows who he is. :) Saturday morning (UK) / evening (AU) sounds like a go then. How are we supposed to find and connect to you XR if you're not on our friends list - it's hard enough connecting to friends as it is without sending a Crew invite first.
  3. The theme allows for other games. Pretty much every NFS game is based in America (be it real or fictional), plus all of the circuits are available.
  4. All depends if you've stopped working on Saturday mornings, Dan! Test cruise #1 has been completed with Ozz, Col and khev but they kept wanting to stop for picnics in the pretty landscape. The inbox is full to stop random noobs (and Rob) asking me about TDU1 online issues. If at any time you wish to cruise say hi to me on Steam! :hiya:
  5. So how's waiting for the re-released cheaper gold edition working out for you, Diablo? :cheeky:
  6. Yes well posting FH2 screenies might not be the best way to celebrate The Crew, now innit? We've done American cars before. So let's see some focus on the landscape this week. Sorry T1M :)
  7. TDU with animals and humans.... ummm, what about The Crew? :umm:
  8. They don't fit into an MMORPG framework??? I dunno
  9. I'm talking about my VW Golf :)
  10. DGSotW Hall of Fame Week 63 Theme: Murica Chosen by: Ryzza5 Winner: superhyper
  11. [headline]DGSoTW #63 - 'Murica![/headline] To celebrate the release of The Crew let's have an American theme. To be clear though, any screenshot of beautiful American landscape (or an American race track/open world from some other game) will count. American cars in other countries do not count however. [subhead]Rules:[/subhead] * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes). Send a PM to the person who chose the theme if you are not sure. * Images must not exceed 5MB, and dimensions must match or exceed those of the banner image shown on the Index page. * Each person who enters must also cast a vote. You cannot vote for yourself. Voting infringements may lead to disqualification in the event of a tie. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to create a new thread/theme or until staff remind them. * Winner must not try to sneak new rules in the new thread or alter existing rules. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them are not eligible). Please mention what game your screenshot is from if not obvious. * Entering the competition with a TDU2 picture may result in suspension of your account. * Minor non-enhancing editing permitted (cropping, addition of your name, etc) is permitted, as long as the actual screenshot isn't tampered with. Just like all the other previous photo competitions. [subhead]Closing Dates:[/subhead] Entry closes: Wed 24 December Voting closes: Sun 28 December
  12. You had me at Golf R. Shame it's painted Fridge White
  13. Try the Full Stock car and see if it's the same, as Full Stock doesn't have an artificial top speed limiter.
  14. Nice From what I've seen on my custom dashboard computer the highest Boost level I have is 21 PSI, which according to Google is 1.44789903 bar
  15. Back in the PC Beta there was a health gauge and everything. If you kept damaging the car a lot you would hear the car not performing so well and it was a little slower. eg Damage seems to be tuned down now in the full game but I think it's still there. The car did/does auto-heal but not to 100%. So maybe treat it like you would changing the oil in Gran Turismo to keep that tiny little performance edge.
  16. Correct - it's The Crew and Assetto Corsa and a bit of GTA from what I can see.
  17. Acknowledged, but what else would you expect? If press up arrow didn't give you full throttle you'd complain that you were slower than wheel players and unable to keep up with them? Couldn't you get a gamepad with triggers that you can hold in partially (like X360 gamepad)?
  18. Yellow Aston shot with road sign reminds me of NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 for some reason.
  19. December 16... isn't that exactly the same date that FH1 Rally was released?
  20. Haha, I thought the popular logic around here would be Is it a massive open world driving gme that can facilitate online cruises? Is it nowhere near as bad as TDU2? Sold
  21. Must have gone broke licensing Ferrari AND Lamborghini in the one game
  22. Still if you add it all up that's a bargain price for the Mona Lisa :p I'm on board with you all but I'm willing to make an exception for this game since we've been waiting for it for so long and want to see it continually developed, rather than have to wait another 5+ years for the sequel. Also don't forget the base game is how many times larger than the complete base games released 15 years ago? Back then you could get a Need for Speed game with 8 tracks and ~40 cars and all you had to do was win a tournament and survive an elimination round to unlock some fantasy bonus cars, and you'd have clocked the game within 2 hours. We've got 20 hours out of just the story from the reduced base game of The Crew, then there's all the faction and PvP stuff, all the Platinum medals and Award Points to collect, all the cruising to do...
  23. If you count all the perk points as part of the complete game, then you probably would have to spend $100 to get the complete game (game + extra crew credits). Not that I'd be daft enough to do that
