  1. Nice, although I was kinda hoping for BMW and Audi to take turns with their insults
  2. Funny, I thought I read in the post about the TDU1 Beta/Demo that you were restricted to 40km of roads or something
  3. Looking good Leadfoot (still haven't installed those mods yet) :)
  4. Adjust the linearity slider towards the right (75%) and the sensitivity towards the left (around 30%) in via Esc - Options - Controls - last tab and see if that makes any improvement.
  5. I wonder if they're all just copying the release dates from Amazon or whichever site first listed a release date? :)
  6. When selecting your controls in the menu, did you push the pedals all the way down? If not, this could cause this problem.
  7. I didn't have the first beta, but I'm guessing they won't give us the whole island (def not both of them), since the download servers would be pretty hammered (and I don't really fancy downloading 5GB or more for a Beta (I'm sure work won't mind though) ;)
  8. We don't discuss hacks/cheats on these forums. :locked:
  9. We'll have to create another 'Nice or Rice' thread for TDU2 modifications. :) I might use a custom colour or vinyl (not on exotics) and change the numberplate and that's about it.
  10. Yeah, most of those images were from the German TDUC site
  11. As long as they don't have trees planted into thin air or road sign text in the sky this time around I think we'll be sweet, nice spot though.
  12. TDUC had a TDU2 subforum long before March 2010 when the game was first announced ;) http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=8787 More photos here. (Old concept images from ~2007 mainly)
  13. Eden have already said before that they developed TDU1 and left things 'as is', and that they plan to support the community much better the second time around.
  14. New Zealand would be good (it's made up of a north island and south island, in total larger than both islands in game, and has some pretty tricky rally stages (been watching the WRC highlights - even Sebastian Loeb stuffed up in a few spots near the end)) :) Majorca sounds good as well, don't know too much about it though. Uhh, the other continents... not sure about those... does Google search: "The largest Island in South America is the Falkland Islands. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falkland_Islands "The largest island on the Asian continent is Borneo." (might be a tad too big) :p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borneo No idea what the roads are like on those two though :)
  15. If you want 8 cars together, kick the passenger out of your car and tell him to waste his own petrol :p I don't really care either way, I'm guessing it would be 8 players/4 cars max if everyone had a passenger when cruising. Maybe certain multiple races that required a co-driver could have a max of 8 cars and 16 character
  16. I'll get it if it comes on PC Maybe if Skate 2 gets insanely cheap I'll get it on 360 for my younger brother
  17. Yeah, at the end of the day it's hard to choose a TV based on website info and reviews, you just have to go look at them (and hope the staff have the colour menu setup right). HDMI inputs often are louder than the TV broadcasts I find (I had it at 6 for the PS3 and 20 for TV), but maybe that's an Australian broadcasting thing.
  18. CPU is probably a little lacking, but you should be able to play the game at high settings. Core2Quad CPUs (i.e. the Q6600) was a popular choice and should be a bit cheaper now the i7 and i5 range is out now. If you have an OEM version of Windows, just be a lil' careful as changing too much hardware can deactivate Windows and you'll either have to ring them up and convince them to reactivate or buy another copy. The 5770 graphics card should be alright, but you will want to have a decent power supply. Generic cheap ones have been known to live a short life when powering up high-end hardware (just ask Pogostickio, he's gone through 2-3 of them in the last year or so). Get a brand name PSU (like Thermaltake, Zalman, Corsair, etc) with 600w or more and you should be ok.
  19. What do they have to do to support it if it already works with the trailer movie? I would've thought they just decode the video output irrespective of what software is running on the machine.
  20. Looks nice. Funny how Samsung and LG TV's nearly look identical :)
  21. I've applied for the Beta, so we'll see what happens. I did a quick YouTube search and I don't appear to be missing out on too much atm. If you have issues getting the NFS Beta working, please post at the NFS forums (more chance of you getting help there)
  22. It's just dawned on me that the last time I visited the WO website, the Beta signup form was Live but not working (Live testing or something). Are they still taking signups for Beta? I'd end up at the bottom of a long list I guess. I've got spare Google Wave invites if that helps? :cheeky:
  23. I would be happy with a new Golf R with all the options, but I'll settle for a TSI. BMW's are nice these days, and Audi's are good too, but their owners are still stereotyped :)
