Adding the Next Car Game suggestion I wonder if we can also have some sort of Portal 2 comp where we get a list a co-op levels from the Steam Workshop, and divide into say 3 teams of 2 and see who can complete them first (take screenshots of the final exit opened). Am I right in thinking PC and PS3 Portal 2 are cross-platform compatible?

Maybe, but a $65,000 6 liter 1 series with no equipment in it (overpriced Aus spec) seemed rather daft to me. V8's still have a place amongst petrolheads, and no doubt Porsche will hang onto their signature flat 6 for as long as possible, but most V6's can pretty easily be replaced by turbo-4's these days, as already demonstrated by Merc, VAG, and Ford (>300 BHP).

btw pCARS let's you get an AI to drive your car when you pit. Can't remember if there was a save/pause option ala GT5 but these PS4 features will be handy. Feels like such a long time since we heard these announcements at the PS4 E3 2013 reveal.

Let's just say we're dealing with a confident Camel ;) I played through the 3 demo tracks they first had an enjoyed it, then purposefully left it alone so as not to spoil the final release. Will be up for a sesh one day though.

It's worth a play-through, but the magic just isn't there. I think pCARS and Assetto Corsa have spoiled the fun I might have had with it 5 years ago.

I guess the only way to release a decent number of tracks as DLC is either (a) having a lot of track devs employed, or (b) keeping some of the tracks hidden away for months while the smaller number of track devs finish the rest of them. We know Kunos to be a small team, so I'm happy with the latter. Going off topic, with all the existing pCARS tracks all polished, there are a few devs assigned to making a new track from scratch (not seen official in any other game afaik) and they seem to be going pretty quickly by the progress screenshots. Not sure when it will be complete. Seeing a couple of DLC cars being built now as well (they're only basic 3D models at this point).

It has the laser-scanned Nordschliefe circuit, the Nordschliefe tourist circuit, and the Nordschliefe Endurance circuit. And a bunch of cars.

In case this makes anyone care a little bit more... this will be the last DGSotW. :eek:

Sounds good. Stuey can host the Xbone events. Camel can host PS4 DriveClub events.

The ironic thing is that Jeremy seemed the happiest of the bunch to eat weird and wonderful things in the middle of nowhere out on their specials. (i.e. Japan, Vietnam).

I'm hoping tdSM becomes a thing around here. We are a gaming forum, after all. But since I'm a boring old fart we need you all to get involved to keep things fresh. So use this thread to suggest and discuss cool games to play and cool things to do in those games. Here are some random ideas: TrackMania Stadium Join a public server and see who can master the most random community tracks Minecraft Vanilla In a new world with hardcore difficulty, race to see who can find a diamond first AND bring it back to the surface (community chest) without dying. Test Drive Unlimited Race around the island Cops (black Corvette's) vs robber. Navigation race/challenge (no GPS, all HUD off). Themed cruise Race 07 Mini championship (5min qualy + 15 min race) spanning across 4-5 tracks. Flight Simulator X Get some advanced flying lessons from mau Join a 'serious' public server and attempt a realistic flight from one airport to another (obeying airport rules, using comms, registered flight paths, ILS, etc, perhaps with Skype) Take a scenic and/or challenging flight together on a private server. Assetto Corsa Setup a private server and cruise/race on the longest mod tracks available, including the famous Romanian highway Join a public server at the Nordschliefe tourist layout (car spawns in car-park) and try to set a best time in the chosen car. Got ideas? Let's see 'em.

Either Diablo scared them off or they must value sleeping in more than playing with us. I thought we'd get some interest from the guys who regularly post AC screenshots.

Given how 'last minute' they were with making TG I've got a feeling they might be fine with taking an extended holiday (depending of course on finances). I feel more sorry for the average behind the scenes guys & girls who are potentially out of work.

Hey! The S3 was my dream car. Get your own! Probably not going to buy one now (unless I happen to to be tempted by the 2nd hand market). Going to be boring and grown up put savings towards a mortgage. :( The funny thing is that it looks great in photos, videos, and is very capable, but when I sat inside one and drove it quickly (both on twisty bumpy roads and on a race track) it just didn't feel as special as i was expecting. Switches on the interior felt rather cheap in the way they clicked noisily, rather than having an expected soft premium feel. (i.e. somewhat like my Golf). Waiting to find out where I end up working next before deciding on the Street Triple.

Perhaps also try continuing the 'one picture' theme? :cheeky:
