  1. So your online search for 'weird racing' brought you here? Nice. I have a pretty basic YouTube account full of random racing clips without any commentary or much in the way of promotion (i.e. just forum signature) and the subscriber count slowly climbs. You may find your idea exists to some extent but in smaller serious leagues (simulation racing games) and communities not unlike ours. There is definitely room for a fun, commentated racing game channel. One potential difficulty unique to racing games in facilitating competition is the use of driving aids. Will you or won't you allow them? Depending on the game, a player lacking in skill could still beat a much better player who only uses realistic or no aids. Then there's the hardware have and have-nots (steering wheel v gamepad/keyboard, triple-screens, etc). Feel free to continue the discussion with members here, and welcome to the forums. :hi:
  2. Has anyone tried out the Alpha multiplayer mod? Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer - Multiplayer mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2
  3. Yeah I was more happy with what I was able to achieve from a technical/learner perspective. There just isn't enough flair. It's quite hard to make an existing screenshot fit in with a fixed-ratio design. Taking new screenshots doesn't really help that much either since the subject has to be far away from the camera.
  4. It's just the one image that I grabbed from an old This Month in pCARS article I wrote. Ok, and I 'shopped in a helicopter
  5. Well I started off with the design again and then went looking for screenshots that somewhat worked with it... which was always going to be tricky. But I do agree with you, even if that means time wasted so far.
  6. Did you ever drive the Cobra (I think there was one) in NetKar Pro?
  7. Plenty agree with you, so I assume if it could be done it would have been done already. Reports are that TC handles even better than TDU1 in Hardcore mode so we should be pretty safe.
  8. Looks like Andi's record was with a near-empty (light) fuel tank?
  9. Much closer to the first one than the second... darn now I want a cheeseburger
  10. No double-DIN DVD player and sat nav affair?
  11. If you're having trouble picking a winner then maybe this video will help NB: I suck at all FIFA games released in the last 10 years. I literally reinstalled this and played without even checking what all the controls were
  12. 2-0 to ARG if my rubbish FIFA 08 match yesterday is anything to go by. GER had more possession though.
  13. I'm on the board with a 1:40.926 Oschersleben GP - Ariel Atom Mugen
  14. I get the point but I wouldn't eat that second one.
  15. and still you haven't bought a license to drive the thing yet :fp2:

  17. So I've put my incredible Photoshop skills to some use by creating the following poster for career mode: Icon: Poster: If you want to join in, you can find the list events that need imagery below. Go for the ones that aren't hyperlinked (done). I or someone else can submit them for you. You get the satisfaction of having directly made something in a AAA game that all players will see. My plan is to do the RUF RGT next which may feature a certain duck. General guidelines When posting the images of your submissions, there will typically be a few iterations required to process forum feedback. Once you post the final art, be sure to mark this post with the text 'FINAL SUBMISSION', along with the name of the event that the artwork is for. Use the name from the PDF. For example 'FINAL SUBMISSION - GT3 AP TROPHY'. Do not include artwork for multiple events in a single post. The post must contain the artwork for the Poster and the Icon for the specified event. All artwork files must be saved as layered photoshop documents (.psd) to allow for further adjustments, and attached as a zip file to the post containing the final submission. All files must conform the naming structure as seen in the PDF file, e.g. GT4_US_Trophy.psd Posters Format: Square Dimensions in-game: max. 632*632 px Emphasis: Conveying the feel of a real world event poster. Use of language: The event name must be in English as per the PDF list. Additional localized text is allowed for events that play off in a single non-english country. Icons Format: Square Emphasis: High visibility and readability of the event name. Focus on text! Content All content must be royalty free for commercial use. All vehicle and location images must be from the game, when showing images of cars and tracks as the primary art on the posters. It's fine to use non-game art in the background, providing it's royalty free for commercial use. Feel free to use fantasy sponsorships on the posters, as found on the in-game cars that take part in the events. Content "DON'Ts" DON'T use real-world brand logos, manufacturer logos or any other existing real-world logos. DON'T use track names, unless it's a single location event, e.g. END_GT_Nordschleife_12H. DON'T use any copyright protected materials, e.g. fonts/typefaces. DON'T use any external links (URLs etc).
