  1. Milli started it! Weird when you said 'new active members' - I was trying to think of people who fit that category and the newest i can think of is Harley
  2. Isn't it called Sydney Motorsports Park now? ;) Sandown is pretty much 20mins from me, and I've driven 10 laps at Phillip Island irl. Either that or SMP/EC would be great choices.
  3. Haha fair enough, just when you see the camera angle from the bottom of the esses looking back up, the descent looks massive. Just about every major racing game has (or is) added (or adding) Bathurst, off the top of my head: Forza 5, Gran Turismo 6, pCARS (actually Shift 2 already had a rubbish version of it), iRacing, R3E, etc, so you'd probably struggle to miss out on it  Let's hope some more Aussie tracks get noticed by game devs - and maybe some of the international racing series could have a look at adding an event at Bathurst as well.
  4. If you watched [all of] the Bathurst race footage last Sunday you would have been treated to a preview of Bathurst in FM5 And yes, the 'now playable' ads were pretty annoying.
  5. I just figured you were having a joke and then you'd post a proper 911 later
  6. http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz28/_FIREWIRE_/other%20stuff/v6fds_medium_zpse0bed7e1.gif Last 3 are on the WMD forums, maybe someone with more time can reupload them to imgur
  7. I believe Slightly Mad Studios wish to keep the releases of Project CARS models all to themselves, unless they've suddenly given StarGT permission. Didn't Diablo mention we only permit releasing mods based on completed games anyway?
  8. hmm I can't see any 911 badges on it, but since they all look the same I'll have to take your word for it  (of course the rollcage hints at it being the GT3)
  9. I believe the "A little game with pics" is what you're looking for when it comes to funny screenshot interpretations Milli. I've seen plenty of awesome legit 911 screenshots around here before so it can't be that hard for us to to find one. Also Clarence's theme specifically mentioned 911's between the years 1963-2014 which precludes the Beetle (not that I was going to include it anyway), just thought that was obvious enough anyway ;)
  10. If you've been keeping up to date with IT news you'd know that Chrome is quite the security risk atm when it comes to how insecurely it caches your passwords and personal data So "use Google Chrome but don't save any data in it" ;) /ot
  11. Congrats Mells! Just remember new tyres take a few miles to rubber in (so don't go finding the limit of adhesion as soon as you swap them) ;) In the meantime I'm sure all the nearby walls are nervous :panic:
  12. Interview with one of the elite devs who's been making games longer than we've been playing them Also some feedback on the controllers:
  13. DGSotW Hall of Fame Week 35 Theme: 911 Chosen by: Clarence Winner: robillard3381 http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af76/robillard3381/911_zps372d50b8.jpg
  14. Congrats to Clarence for winning the DGS competition last week. * Stick to the implied theme (don't look for technical loopholes) * Images must not exceed 5MB, and be at least 990px wide by 340px tall. * Each person who enters must cast a vote in the same week to remain eligible. You may not vote for yourself. * Winning image must not be of TDU2 as you risk account suspension. * Winner picks the next theme, unless winning consecutively, in which case the runner up decides. * Winner has 48h to PM a new theme to me or another member of staff if I'm away, if they fail to meet this then the theme will be a free round. * Competition is limited to games on all platforms of any age that are classified as driving/racing games. (i.e. FPS games that have cars in them wouldn't be eligible). Please mention what game your screenshot is from. * Minor non-enhancing editing permitted (cropping, addition of your name, etc) is permitted, as long as the actual screenshot isn't tampered with. Just like all these other comps. Week 35: 911 Any Porsche/RUF 911 including the GT2/GT3/racing versions Please don't link small images to larger ones - just post the large one here! mau92 -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- Milli Loz Mercedes-Benz robillard http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af76/robillard3381/911_zps372d50b8.jpg Ryzza5 Clarence Prophecy Ozzmcom -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --

Before and after videos? I assume you've got the original map backed up somewhere
  17. Awww and here I was thinking 'well at least I don't have the dirtiest car here' :(
  18. Wait and see what gets released along with the new consoles (if you can). Otherwise it all depends on your budget is? What criteria is important to you? Do you want: * Something that is compatible with PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbone? * Brake pedal that uses a load cell? * Adjustable settings on the wheel instead of in software (Fanatec)? The way I see it, you could either play it safe and cheap and get a Logitech G27. Or you could take a bit more of a risk with Fanatec CSR/Clubsport products (if they're even available atm), or have a look at Thrustmaster, who seem to be taking over where Logitech left making gaming hardware products. They've got the T500RS (which is massive) and doesn't work with Xbox, and they've confirmed a new wheel is coming that works with the Xbone, but I'd still recommend waiting a few months to find out more about it and see if there is another wheel yet to be revealed.
  19. To be fair Tiff Needell also gave it a shot with a wheel along with a bunch of other titles for Fifth Gear & I don't think Microsoft would put his review on their game box
