  1. FOR PETE'S SAKE USE THE MODDING TEMPLATE YOU FOOLS! -Leadfoot
  2. http://s655.photobucket.com/albums/uu278/W4ntaF4nta/?action=view&current=VW_oldfront.png Awesome! -Leadfoot
  3. It'll keep your thread happy - off topic, maybe, but happy nonetheless - since you stopped working on yours. :) -Leadfoot
  4. In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, "Want one!" :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  5. GSXR video hopefully going to be filmed this weekend. Hopefully. If not, then, um, hopefully the next... :) BTW, the song in the Dec. 2009 video was "Requim for a Dream." -Leadfoot
  6. GTX 480 and TDU2? Bring it on! :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  7. Seeing this reminds me of all the Gemballa stuff going on; Gemballa declared bankrupcy, and its owner, Uwe Gemballa, has gone missing in South Africa. At least something lives on in PC gaming. -Leadfoot
  8. :chairfall: @TDUFREAK500: Look through the thread. There's a lot of stuff to be found. -Leadfoot
  9. Okay, I am impressed by his cars - the interiors of new cars, what with dynamic shadow and detailed textures, and his ability to make high-quality mods in VERY short periods of time. I just meant that I appreciate it more when the person builds their own car (as 2CV and Xiorxorn, among others, do), rather than take one from a business. The E500 Coupe collaboration is a good start, as is the Novitech Rosso-to-stock 599 job, and the Murcielago variants (roadster/hardtop/vents up/vents down all modded from the Shift model) and the LP560-4 variants. -Leadfoot
  10. That's what I thought, but I commented so in his thread about that and he gave me a 10-minute rant on how he does other stuff. I, however, will only be impressed once he makes a full car from scratch - no matter how many Audi logos he's made or car roofs he's removed. -Leadfoot
  11. Wait, he stopped? This is as bad as the Porsche GT3 RS - this is, what, two or three attempts at a DBS so far, and all stopped. I guess EmKill's right. Unless Tool is willing to try making the Shift DB9 into a DBS, we'll have to wait for a PC game for someone to convert it. -Leadfoot
  12. That's true. In fact, since my post, I have talked with someone who owns a Buttkicker seat-vibration thingy, and he says that adds a lot of realism to the driving feel. The difference, he says, between a game and a simulation. -Leadfoot
  13. Nice! I like the S5 rims on the R8. :) -Leadfoot
  14. How do you add other cars (like the default bike and default car) to the modding tools? I want to see if they count as a free "any performance" slot (so that I can add other cars without disrupting mods that I like - the DBS, for instance, to give it the unique feel it will deserve)? Also, is there any way to tell from the "Car ID" (or one of those long numbers) what the file is called? Because I keep seeing a Lambo Diablo slot in both the TDUPE and Djey's tools. Thanks! :) -Leadfoot
  15. LOL. Hope you feel better, Tool. :) -Leadfoot
  16. Thank you! That's it! :) You have no idea how frustrated I've gotten trying to find that. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  17. It's a car that was on Top Gear (magazine, not show) a while back. Here's what I remember of the car (random bits): There was a thread here. It has 1,000 - 1,200 horsepower. I was suspicious of the above. It is made in a country that doesn't make many supercars - in northern Europe. The grill looks a bit like an Aston's. Most of the promo shots feature a silver/white car Most of the promo shots feature a car on roads that are in fields, but a on a mound of dirt. (?) Hope someone's able to answer. -Leadfoot
  18. http://www.abload.de/image.php?img=dbsn1it.jpg Wow! -Leadfoot
  19. Amazing work with the bus! Turning out really, really nice! :) -Leadfoot
  20. Still over a week left, but I'd like to announce that I've released the Dec. 2009 COTM vid! :) -Leadfoot
  21. Do we have proof of that? He said above that he has a life, which is probably more than can be said for the people who instantly say he's stopped if a car reaches a certain number of days without update (I've seen it happen on other forums, too). -Leadfoot
  22. Using present modding techniques, it is not possible - light snow, yes, because of a re-texturing of the "floating trash" objects. However, if we could make wind that pointed straight down and increased the amount of floating objects to 100 times what is is now, rain (and snow storms like those currently pummeling southeast USA) would theoretically be possible. However, we don't know quite how to do that yet. :( -Leadfoot
  23. Here's a quote from a respected individual in the gaming community: So it is acknowledged by most game developers that PC is more powerful - that's why they build every game on PC, then put it to consoles later. :cheeky: As dumb, perhaps, as the calling on online interface World Wide Web? Actually, PSN isn't that dumb of a name; it's a network of Playstations, whereas "xBox Live!" is a really jubilant way of saying the xBox online is "Living!" (with an added exclamation point for no apparent reason). Ontopic: Interesting (and depressing) find. It could be that it's going to be released later, though... -Leadfoot
  24. Be warned, it doesn't work all too well. The underlying engine powering TDU is flawed slightly in the "sense of speed" department. -Leadfoot
