  1. Nice pics and nice cars (black-roofed 458 and CTS-V = )! Surprised I didn't see this thread before... -Leadfoot
  2. Have a good one! :) -Leadfoot
  3. Conflicting messages there in the last one. :) Nice shots! -Leadfoot
  4. Well, it's hardly the same company. They were bought out by an American company (I think) in the early '90's, and didn't do as much of the game design, and then they kept being bought out by other companies until they became simply a distributor (because of the heritage, like you said). Now they're owned by Namco Bandai. They're a disgrace to their own name, now, in many areas. Shame. :( -Leadfoot
  5. They (Atari) never drew much attention to racing for pinks, but I think of it as a big thing. A large amount of haters are likely to hate, though. -Leadfoot
  6. A guy in the Lifehacker comments did a similar thing as the above "mod," but made it an exhaust exit in the summer. My dad pointed out that that's a much better idea, because it doesn't bring in the other issues such as moisture or escaping heat from, you know, the entire house. Interesting idea with the transmission oil, but I'm too scared to do something that drastic to my PC. -Leadfoot
  7. Audi R8 Spyder and a special test track? Damn, I'm really missing out here... Also, surely you can still take advantage of those city clips, right? ;) -Leadfoot
  8. For some reason the snow looks different in that pic. Nice car and nice setting! :) Can't wait to see it released! -Leadfoot
  9. The face morph thing is really... yeah. At least the characters look like real people, though. And cool night city shots, I guess. :) -Leadfoot
  10. You know that scene in "Minority Report" where Tom Cruise has the bandage over his eyes and tries to get stuff to eat, but just barely misses the decent food and drinks from the bad milk and the rotten sandwich? That's the equivalent of you. I'm sorry that you missed EA's few decent titles - Shift was good, but as Ryzza said: Add the repetitive game modes, too. -Leadfoot
  11. I remember hearing about them (from you, probably) in some thread here. Interesting work. If I was a Corvette enthusiast looking to purchase a vehicle, I might even consider getting that interior done on a Z06 rather than getting a ZR1. -Leadfoot
  12. Yay, one person in the entire world of the Internet who has... ...the same problem I did! I bought three copies fro DR and ran out of activation codes for all of them (it would prompt me every few launches and I would use up another code). I emailed them, and they emailed back once with some typical questions; I replied, but never heard from them again. The solution? Buying a disc off eBay. Sorry to hear about it, but it's relieving to know I wasn't the only one. I was unaware of Digital River's history, but I could see them being a no-name trickery company. Such a weird issue, too... -Leadfoot
  13. I don't see myself in that. What I do see myself in, however, is a Z4. Coupe. Lowered. With BBS twin-spoke wheels. And a carbon fiber roof panel. Oh, I want one of those so badly... :p -Leadfoot
  14. Red. Someone else had a red/black one, which looked shweeeeet. Love the M3 rain shots above - I might have to try taking some of my own to use as a new signature. :) -Leadfoot
  15. The Evora is quite a good looking car from real-world angles. However... -Leadfoot
  16. Is that race-converted or do they have a racing version? (Too lazy to go check, sorry. :p ) -Leadfoot
  17. I'd forgotten about the Hot Rod, and didn't realize the Cobra was a "find wrecks" car. Thanks. :) -Leadfoot
  18. Bingo. The stages are really what's missing. What are the six bonus cars, though? I thought it was just the buggy, the 2CV, and the Beetle. They should have done the TDU thing and made concepts achievable as unlocks. That was cool, and the only reason I ever did more races than I had to. :) -Leadfoot
  19. GT5 didn't have the DBS, Cinque, GT500, and a ton of other cars that similar games have. Plus, some people ( ) prefer the boldness of the '07 GT500. Remember, not everything has to be the latest and greatest - that's certainly the case with American cars, as the last memorable American cars (excluding the CTS-V, ZR1, ACR, and the like) were created before the 1970's. EDIT: ^TDU2's been a work in progress for over three years, and they don't have the time or resources to A) get insider info as to what the future models will be (like GT5) or B) license and create new models. American omissions aren't really a big deal for me, as most stuff made here is crap (everyone give a "lol" for Saturn...). The CTS-V is a loss, however, having used it in Simbin's Race On. The ZR1, too, but the Caddy and 'Vette are the BASICALLY only world-class cars not on the list. -Leadfoot
  20. I'm assuming Maui is a typo. Just read it all, and it's a pretty good review. Most of the same stuff we already knew, yes, but it's pretty in-depth and encouraging. Nice to see someone take a game for its achievement and not knock it too much for getting something not quite right. Plus, it seems like they fixed the connection bugs from TDU1 - good on ya', Atari/Eden! :) Thanks Scoob! Have some rep! -Leadfoot
  21. LOL, big cities are like that. I've only been to NYC once in my life, and in the 30 minutes I spent in view of the street, I saw a (then just barely released) Bentley Mulsanne, a (also just-released) Ferrari California, and a Maybach 57S. Big news for me is seeing a dirty, twenty-year-old 911. Of course, I live in a resort town, so during the summer I just need to find out where to look. Not that the uber-luxurious hotel in the center of town would take kindly to me trolling their parking lot for Fezza's and Masers, but maybe if I just watched that area. Oh, and I've been seeing this Bentley Continental GT (base spec) every day on my way to school. It's covered with snow and all, which is interesting to see. -Leadfoot
  22. Where have you been? Have I just missed all your posts, or were you gone for a while? -Leadfoot
  23. M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5 M5... Please tell me where you got it! :D -Leadfoot
  24. I was going to make a snide comment about summer, but the way my PC runs, it might still have a cooling effect. My parents would be quite... unhappy about the whole "opening a window for months at a time" thing. Still, maybe for intense Crysis animating sessions, I would love to do this. -Leadfoot
  25. S-S-S-S-S-SNOW DAY! They cancelled early, as we're supposed to get pummeled by snow tomorrow - maybe I'll even get pics. :) -Leadfoot
