    What is it like to use? Whats the quality at the end like and also how big of a performance hit does this have?

    Okay so quite a few people here already make their own youtube videos of their game footage, but what is the best screen capture software out there? Here is a list of a few avaliable: Fraps Bandicam DXTory Action! MSI Afterburner Elgato (Hardware + Software recorder) Just to name a few. With all this choice and possible money to be laid down on a registered copy you want to know your getting the best value for your money. Although Fraps is easily the most popular out there it doesn't always mean its the best. Having used Fraps for some time i thought it was time to see what else was out there on the market that could seriously compete against Fraps. This is where i came across DXTory and most recently Action! Even though i have used Action! for the shortest amount of time (less than a day so far) i can see it becoming my go to screen recorder for recording footage, let me explain why. If you wish to record commentary video's Action! can record the game sounds and also a microphone just like Fraps & DXTory can but Action! puts the commentary as a second audio track within the AVI file. This means once recorded you can then continue to tweak the game sounds and microphone sound separately to get an equal level you are happy with. The file size of the recorded files within Fraps can be HUGE to say the least where as in Action they seem a fraction of the size with no loss in quality. DXTory isn't quite as resource heavy as Fraps but Action! seems to be the lightest of them all. Recording in either 1080p or 720p with Action! results in the same minimal FPS loss. So recording at 1080p with Action i seem to loose at the most 4 FPS. DXTory i was loosing atleast 4 FPS recording at 720p! This means i can record at a higher resolution without the frame rate hit. I have only scratched the surface with Action! but it has become a much better program than both DXTory & Fraps. What do you think and what is your opinion on this? ----------------- Also found this on youtube showing a quick comparison between the 3 mentioned in this thread.

    Randomly found Patch on PCars tonight and decided to do a lap around the ring. Nothing serious and by far the best driving but it was a good graphics and recording test from pCars. Everything Maxed and using SweetFX. Play at 1080p but record at 720p just cuz 1080p takes forever to upload! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dibY1gOejvA

    Well i bumped into Patch randomly online tonight and had a bit of fun with a couple of races and then done a lap of the ring but wasn't actually racing each other. Video will come later :)

    Just done some testing in this and playing everything maxxed out with better framerate i believe will do a test later to compare though.

    Its so easy to get lost inside that volcano! could be mining in there for hours and still not search everything.

    Have had the Formula truck 60min preview sitting around on my pc for a while and when i played it i knew i had to buy it! Was on it thismorning and it is great fun when you learn how the trucks actually handle. Each truck has its own personality and having different classes of trucks racing in the same field makes it more interesting for ones that zoom past you on the straights to then go past them again on the corners. Will have video's up soon of me doing some laps!

    Yeh mine is gonna be mostly stone/marble combinations or something. Also have expanded a bit aswell now :P Will be on in a bit to build a bit more of the house :)

    Right i have rebuilt most of my house now in the same place. Have blocked the river off atm but i will rebuild it around my house in a bit. Need to just add the roof to my house which i will do next time im on. Had to move the secret tunnel to mine a bit to get it into a place i wanted. Re-set up my Electric furnace and marcerator back up that people are free too use if required as i now generate enough electric to run the machines without coal :)

    Made quite a bit of progress today but now suddenly came to a stop with a powercut that now has seemed to cause problems with my internet. Think faults are on the line...

    Forestry used to be in older versions of Tekkit evidently Forestry - The Tekkit Wiki Also i have now got some machines in my house :D I have an Induction Furnace & Macerator people feel free to use them but you will need to keep the batbox topped up with energy so you will need to bring your own coal to put in the generator!

    Surely you just download the minecraft .exe file from the minecraft website log in and launch it. Then download the tekkit launcher select tekkit classic login and launch? Thats all i done and it worked straight away.
