1. That is essentially my reasoning for getting cars, and doing stupid things with them. :D If you can afford to, then why the hell not. - Some of you may have seen, but I spent a weekend with a group of guys from another forum I'm on. I did a 1100 mile round trip down to the town of Buckingham to spend a weekend & go camping in the pouring rain, thunder & lighting while surrounded by 'rubbish' cars and like minded people. :D At the Scottish-English Border... When your car is big enough to be in two country's at the same time... Passing the home of British Motorsport... I was amazed at how close to the road some parts of the track were! Seen a Volvo dumper truck on it... Who needs Pebble Beach? This is a real Concoures d'Elegance event... Not all car's are shown, some people only visited for a day, others had left by Sunday morning as well as others parking outside the field because... Thanks to the random heavy rain that would occur, the entrance became more akin to what you'd have seen in France 100 years ago... The Lexus got stuck on the way in, and oh boy did she get stuck on the way out! (The path was worse). Turns out it takes 10 people, snow mode on and turning the TSC off to get a 2 tonne car out of the mud. Did manage to bottom out as well, taking my already torn front splitter off. Who needs off road tyres or 4 wheel drive?
2. If i recall, it was the First & therefore oldest Morris Mini-Minor every made! :)
3. Was at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon the other day. :D I could post a gallery from all the photos I took, but I know you guys are not as mad about British cars as me (Unless it's supercars and the like) so I'll spare all that for you. But I'll post this... The very last Land Rover Defender made, next to the very first Land Rover made. And not British, but saw in the carpark... Cayman GT4! First one I've spotted out in the wild! :)
4. For the first time in god knows how long, I actually sat down at watched the show! I then went and watched the second episode. And I was not dissapoint! :) I don't see a problem with Evens personally, does a good job. Sabine also does a good job, her & even's make a good team if you ask me. Matt I was on the fence over, but actually like him on it! Rory did a fantastic hot hatch review, was surprised to see a bit of technical gibberish thrown i! (Not seen that on TG in yonks) Harris, no words needed! ;) EJ, at first i honestly had no idea why he was there other than "The F1 is on another channel and I've a contract to use up",(And I'm a fan of him!) but he did better than expected and I hope he returns! Be it as a 3rd man on the challenges or for a review! I've seen alot of people on FB slating the show, but personally it does seem to be a case of "It's not the old lot" or "It's not 'Old' top gear so its rubbish". It seemed no more or less scripted than before. The "Star in the Car" being the most 'scripted' part for me, but it'll be somewhat expected. At no moment in the South Africa part did I feel "I knew that was going to happen", the bit where EJ damaged the car seemed like an actual accident. 8/10 will watch again. :)
5. @Tim: Nice one! The next step in terms of handling & epicness! Loved it when i had a shot of one. :D - Since Me has been posting here, though this would be welcome... Yes, they are CB antenna's on the roof. Reason is because the cars are in 'Convoy Spec' for the 500 mile drive down to a Club meet next weekend! This picture was taken after a 60 mile run down to Dundee to both test the radios and look at other cars.

A Wafty Shed

As bad as each other... Some of his other choices for a HDi or XUD motor were rather interesting to say the least! - Personally it's a really nice and comfy car, more so I dare say than the LS400! Also really easy to work on mechanically.
7. Hope I'll be able to drive around in a fried-out Kombi, on a hippy trail with head full of zombie. Or meet a strange lady who makes me nervous. And be able to buy bread from a guy who's six foot tall and full of muscle. Because were going to a land down under, so better run, better take cover....
8. Called it. -- As Softie, said, the guy looks to be hipster "It's a Prank Yo" hipster kid. And from the trailer it looks as if the group your working for is doing stuff to "Fight the establishment" and wanting follows. (Kinda like how Anonymous are these days), the kind of people who'd block a main road as a protest (Annoying thousands of people who are going about daily business.) or say 'police brutality' because he was told to get out of a fountain... I mean, Aiden Pearce was essentially stealing money from the bank via the internet and such but then when his family was put in danger(Eventually killed) he went out to get revenge. This guy looks like his story will be "I'm going to fight the establishment, but first lets go to Starbucks and tweet about how life is hard useing social media on on iPhone 7's"... Hope I'm wrong, as I rather liked the first game!
9. It's the first FPS since since MAG or Battlefield 2142 I've really gotten into! And that says something! :D Lemme know if you get it on xBone, as that's what I've got it on!
10. Though I'd start an Overwatch thread. Be it for news, organizing games or just general chat. If you've no idea what it is? Best way to describe it is it's kinda like 'Team Fortress 2', a host of characters with different ability's. It';s also very addictive & fun. Surely I'm not the only player of it here? :cheeky:
11. Factory painted that colour, and in the metal (Carbon?) it has looks to die for! My Camera doesn't do it justice! :) Personally, the wheels could do with being a darker grey. But other than that it's perfect. The owner also has the same colour on this... *Took this back in 2014.
12. Was another GT Scotland meet today up north, and thanks to the fantastic weather it was a good turnout!. :D More photos to follow, but if you want a quick look at what was on offer, I did a live stream over on my Blown Turbos FB page, but be warned...poor quality due to ropy connection & poor camera on the phone.
13. To be fair, the cars 5 years old now so at the tail end of it's life 'Cycle'. So I'd be surprised if it was't replaced in the next year or so. Never a massive fan admittedly, styling a bit to wild for my liking, especially compared to the 599, 575, etc So looking forward to the replacement, considering how nice the 488 & GT4C look! :)
14. Also the maintenance of the rotary! Not a dig at them as I love RX's. As i'm sure you'll know, alot of them will have been thrashed and not well looked after. Alot of dodgy RX8's at the moment because of this! (That and ferrous oxide...) --- Ive had no leads with parts for the Abarth as of yet, most places I've talked to (albeit breaker yards) all say they do have the bumper/trim yet when they send pictures over it's for a normal 500... :fp: This is despite telling them the differences and such and that they know the differences. So looks like a trip to the Fiat dealership in the weekend. (The Abrth one is 70 miles away...)
15. Depends how you class it, these days I've seen people class any saloon as a barge... :fp: I could go into the whole 'classing system', but that'd be derailing the thread.
16. And i still have the other 4 in my ownership...
17. My guess for whats showen... EA: Battlefield 1, as well as generic yearly titles. Maybe a peek at NFS? New Mass effect? Bethesda: More Fallout 4 DLC, new Elder Scrolls? Announcement of shutting down Elder Scrolls online.. Microsoft: Forza Horizon 3, New Hallo? Random add on for the xBone that nobody will really care for, more free crap for Gold users, generic new xBone only game that will cause a fuss but fizzle out soon after and be a 'Also ran'... PC Gaming Show: Now idea what this actually involves, so I'll guess it's showing off stuff that makes the 'PC master race' feel better? Ubisoft: Assassins Creed 2017, Watch Dogs 2? New Far Cry? Bonus: The Crew 2 or DLC for The Crew announced, new 'Driver' game. Random new IP announced. Sony: GT Sport, Last of Us 2? Little Big planet 4? New Infamous? Random arcade driving game? Random add on for the PS4 that nobody will really care for, Generic PS4 only game that will cause a fuss but fizzle out soon after and be a 'Also ran'... Nintendo: New game of a long running franchise...
18. Nice one you got there CLR! :D Good to see another member getting into barge ownership! It's a great combo! Source: LS400 useage.
19. Thankfully, it's just cosmetic. Only warning light to come on the dash was telling me the daytime bulb was out... Bumper, bonnet, wing, sidelight, bits of trim & possibly headlight. Inner wheel arch as well. Will need to do some wiring for the plugs for the lights, horn, etc. Plugs them self are fine but the bit that secures them onto whatever it plugs into has broke....so not secure For hitting it at a 40 -50mph(Braked down from 60+), i'm bloody lucky! Expected the airbags to go off I'm current checking my contract with the dealership on the issue before I make a move, as the job is easy enough that I'm likely to source the parts myself and do the job. Don't fancy getting the insurance involved as would put my premium up for a few years, it's cosmetic's & fact nobody else was involved.(Sadly, could't contact Bambi for details) The good news is I'm sure everything bar the trim & pumper are the same as on the normal 500, so should be fairly cheap to get the parts and such. How do I feel by it all? After the initial shouting of abuse, I could't help but laugh. Worst part is finding out who has to sort it, or if i'm allowed to!
20. Dont see enough Z3 coupes! Love em! :) (But oddly hate the convertible...) Can't help but see the amount of Bini's in the background of the photo!
21. Alot of places require mechanics to provide there own tools, which is a real pain because tool's aint cheap! - I've driven a GT86 a few times, 3 dealer test drives and a 'proper' shot of a friend of a friends and was 75% tempted to get it (Decided not to because of reasons), rather liked it and seemed solid enough. 200Bhp and relative light weight was enough for me for both fun & everyday use, enough so i'd have left it being! (Crazy power is't needed for the roads up my way) Others would say i can feel somewhat cheap inside but I never found that a problem myself, but I've grown up on used cars (10 years+ on average). Can't really comment on the other choices, I nearly went to view an S2000 but got a Suzuki Cappuccino insted.
22. After work last on Saturday morning I decided to go for a drive... Taken between 4am - 6:30am. So of course no other traffic on the roads. Bliss.
23. ;) Pifft who am I kidding, Rover 75/MG ZT... Wiff of old school, not the fastest, not the most technical, a bit behind in some terms, easy to maintain, does a honest days work and will be as dependable, Can go rather crazy for reasons unknown (In the cars of the V8 model..)
24. It's the first & only one I've seen, doesn't appear to have been more than 100 sold here, Robby Williams bought one though... This one was a was a JDM import.
