  1. There should be 90s supercars for no other reason than for the fans of the cars who know how to use their strengths to demonstrate to the "new blood" how cars of old can be just as good as cars of new.
  2. If the roads are smoother than if they were made of only 3 polygons, I'd say they learned from their mistakes.
  3. The story has been described as rags-to-riches, so it would be interesting to start off with low end items. Maybe start off by either buying a nice house or a nice car, but not having enough to buy both. So you buy a cheap 2 car house/trailer/apartment and a cheap car, do a few races/missions to get enough money to upgrade the car or if you're skilled enough, hold out until you can buy another car. Will be interesting to see how it pans out, but I know alot of people are going to want to step into "the high life" quickly, so it will probably start out almost exactly the same as TDU.
  4. The pricing difference and availability difference would definitely be interesting, but I'm not sure how it would work out. While it is possible to export cars for an upcharge, I know that there are a few cars that no matter how much you paid for them, the U.S. Federal Highway Commission would never allow them to see American streets. Cars like the R34 Skyline and other sports cars that weren't built with the emissions equipment our wonderful gov't so graciously forces us to use can't be brought over to the states unless the only ever see race tracks. Suppose that could make things interesting though, import a car that isn't road legal and get chased by the cops when they see you driving it.....
  5. I could live with that system, considering that I would probably never get the chance to drive the club car.
  6. club only cars, pay for repairs..... what other twisted forms of community requests are they going to come up with.
  7. 86. So you can hang your head out a window with your tongue hanging out like a dog, then ping your skull off a mailbox.
  8. 66. So you can hold on for dear life to the gal in front when she does a wheelie on a bike :D:cheeky:
  9. Sounds like some pretty solid logic, but when I saw the word "sixteen" I thought of the Cadillac Sixteen. Guess that's just showing how two different minds work.
  10. I think there are a handful of pickups that would fit in to the TDU theme, mainly the: Ford F-150 Raptor Ford F-150 SVT Lightning (99-04 production and 05 concept) Dodge Ram SRT-10 Chevy Silverado SS But that's really about it.
  11. Movies, TV shows, Texaco fuels, and a few others.
  12. I'm pretty sure that the dynamic adverts were part of what kept the TDU online part free, so yeah I'm all for it!
  13. Am I? whoops. I don't really frequent this site that much anymore and don't feel like reading through the billions of posts that were made since my last visit. Thanks for letting me know though.
  14. I doubt it was fake. I was notified about it's availability by an official email newsletter from Amazon. And just to make sure that it wasn't fake, I visited Amazon and searched for TDU2. The link I provided was the result of said search.
  15. Big news guys! You can now pre-order TDU2 through Amazon! Says release date is September 30. http://www.amazon.com/Test-Drive-Unlimited-2-Pc/dp/B002I0JNK8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1271866894&sr=1-3
  16. I think that in order for everyone to be able to see the vinyls in game, it would have to use an in-game designer program so that all the textures and shapes would be pre-loaded on everyone's machine, then all that would need to be transmitted would be location and color data.
  17. What will make the "unique" cars that the big clubs get special?
  18. Maybe it would be like the house you get in TDU for finding all the roads.
  19. You knew this would be coming: But on topic, I hope to see vast improvements in the smoothness of roads where it matters (like in the mountains. I want to have some fun driving in mountain hairpins!), but small imperfections that coincide with the textures on the road (so you could avoid them, or at least know they are coming so you could brace for impact) would be nice little things to spice up the game.
  20. I'd say Mitsubishi, or maybe even Peugeot (sp?).

  22. Maybe a ram air intake and matching hood, or cowl induction hood with matching intake. Something visual to go along with the mods basically is what I'm saying. Because while it would be totally awesome to be able to build a sleeper, I don't want to have to listen to (or participate in :P) the bawwing that would no doubt occur when two racers agree to a stock vs. stock race, and when one driver demolishes the other accusations of non-stock cars flying about.
  23. Bertone looks like the kind of car company that would use a design dreamed up by a 9 year old. Not exactly my style but I give them kudos for pushing the envelope.
  24. Well they have said that the tuning will be similar to Forza, I don't really know what that means since I've never played Forza but I would assume that if they are going to all the work of making what I would guess is an in-depth tuning system then they wouldn't mess the stock performance up very bad. Plus, don't forget that the R35 is only limited to 112 when it's on the streets, on race tracks the limiter is removed. Which brings me to my next point, if computer speed limiters are included, one of the first in game mods should be to remove them! :D
