  1. Uhm okay, so I wanted to record my screen with OBS right now and realized I have 15fps. As my physics is (yet) frame dependent, I can't show you the physics recorded just yet. I will cheat and record my screen with a phone tonight in the dark or something. :D Yeah, my PC is not the best, so apoligies for that. Also thinking of how much sense it does make to actually continue it, as Speeder is quite a bit more skilled than me and there is really nothing to compete for me as we make basically the same games :D

  4. Ahh, that's what I thought. Had the volumetric clouds in mind ever since I've seen how """"""easy"""""" they are to setup (good look / implementation ratio-wise; 2D sky masks take just as long, they just doesn't look so nice), but I was told by various people that it actually is only suitable for Archviz/Rendering projects and not real time-calculations, like a game. It's probably possible to make it a GPU based particles emitter, but I don't have my head right now for improving my (barely existant :lol: ) environment. Probably gonna care about that a bit later. Gonna hit you up later when I am at this point myself :p Oh cool, as so, I can recomend you a tutorial series I found on Youtube. Although it's in Russian and he is using UE4, (and the videos are 1h+ each and there are like 15 of it; needed to watch them all, rip), it might come handy for other engines too. Иван Новожилов His tutorials work like a charm, and eventhough I barely passed my physics exam at school, the cars are really fun to play around with. (with a few tweaks for my needs) Also, found this really useful paper for physics builds: Car Physics Maybe it's useful, eventhough I think you already know what you're doing. Eitherway, looking forward for your progress!! :)
  5. How performance-heavy are those clouds? I'm still a bit afraid of creating such over masked 2D ones, eventhough they look better, as I don't want to have unneccessary framedrops over and over. Also, which kind of physics model do you use? Constraint-based or raycasting? I had serious trouble to setup the constrainted physics, and realized raycast works just as fine, with a few minimal cons, though.
  6. Nice to see another attempt of a car game! I think you are far more skilled than I am, so I guess there will be some actual progress to show compared to me ( :lol: ) Good luck with the project :) I would love to help, but I can't code C++.
  7. I would not recomend to try to mod your Xbox whatsoever. I mean, 360's are not really expensive anymore on eBay, but according how many Xboxes you will screw during the process is just absolutely not necessary.
  8. Well, then you are screwed. There is no way to import TDU files into 3DS max without ZModeler. Probably with 3Dsim, but I never used it with TDU files.
  9. Interesting Idea, although looking at your first wheel design, that would never work in real life. Rims are always symmetric for a good reason - angular velocity force. Which means in terms of simple english - rotation force. A wheel need to be perfectly round to distribute the rotation force equally so the rim, brakes and axis won't suffer with every rotation. That's the reason why regular rims always have some weights behind the spokes as the weight is never perfectly distributed without it. To the start point of the thread - I am not really a fan of such wheel designs either, but there might be the one or the other which might want to convert it. I just wanted to drop my two cents about why wheel designs like those are fairly uncommon in real world.

  12. If you have a 3D model of it it would be an easier task. But as there are none around which are free I must disapoint you and say it will take a while till your request is fulfilled.
  13. When you have time, check the video about my point. I understand that people want to make money, but I still think 4 million for a "regular" car ingame which isn't any better than the others is scammy. And of course - nobody FORCES me to pay, nor anyone forces me to grind or to play with the items - but I want those Items to play with, as they look fun to play with. And I don't play online on such a regular basis just to meet up friends which make a stupid job for me I have done 20 times. It was working in 2013-2014 as the game still was interesting to me and my friends, but now it's just boring, mission wise. I understand why so many stopped playing. I also play on irregular basis that it just isn't worth to meetup with anyone to play. Don't get me wrong, I have 1200+ hours playtime on Online so I know what I am talking about. And yes I do complain about grinding. Because it isn't anything not to be pissed about. I don't want to make one mission over and over and over just because it gives the most cash. Like said, I don't have anything about people wanting to make money, but I'd perfer they did that in a way which is less scammy. I would pay for DLC's when they are balanced. The "free" ones are not. At the end of the day - it is a game. A game supposed to be fun. Grinding isn't fun. So this game isn't good (anymore). So easy that is. My opinion.
  14. It's not free content. You will get content to your game, but it's useless as it's behind a bunch of paywalls which you can avoid only by massive grinding. That's not my definition of free. I rather would pay for DLC's to get something for a decent ingame value to buy instead of "look, you could have this when you buy shark cards, otherwise you need to grind". The DLC's are not free. The download is free, but not the content. I don't have time to grind 11 hours for one plane.
  15. Short answer - no. I don't think we will see TDU3 next year. Long answer: I hope we do, but I doubt anything will come out which will statisfy me at a minimal level. A title "TDU3" might find it's way to public, but my bet is it will be nothing like we expect. Same as Crew 2 and stuff.
  16. Thank god this will be the last GTA:O DLC. Finally this nightmare comes to an end. Rassva and I tried it, it's only a waste of ingame money. Paywalls after paywalls with a miserable 400k maximum payout. Sooo nah, it's not good.

Download the TDU Modding tools by DJey (Latest version), go to Vehicle manager, go to the slot your new car is on, go to colors, go to the color you want the second interior on, select one of the "AC (None)", click add, you will see a dropdown popup select a color you want, click okay, click save. Optionaly you can copy paste the new color to other exterior color slots.
  18. I ain't a huge fan of studies, I'm more about production going vehicles :nods: (the Project-ONE is the 95% production version at this point, so don't come with that in the first place :lol: )
  19. I have downloaded the patch and it works fluently. Even a buttload of mods installed which would actually make the game even more unstable, but it all works fluently. I don't know what your issue is.

  23. As I have drivatars of people in my friendslist which never played Forza before, I doubt those people could outrun me on dirt in an AWD while have never touched the game before
  24. I don't have Live so I don't play online (not really have time to do so) so I tend to play offline. But at the meanwhile I'm turning back on Horizon as it became just meh. Hope they'll abandon the Drivatar system on H4 or at least adapt them to the H2 level, as they were quite good there. PS: To the admins who've added the subtitle to the thread, I'm gonna be more precise next time :)
