There are guides on the internet on how to lower the rear and from what i understand it's not that difficult, but the torsion bars might be somewhat stuck if they haven't been touched before so it'll take some violence.

Why would one spend 90 grand for a USED A6 when they can buy something brand new and equally good or better for let's say $50.000 or $60.000? Seems like a waste of money to me. An A6 can't be $30.000 better than for example an A4 or a BMW or a Mercedes, or any other brand for that matter.

The 4E-FE isn't the same as 4A-FE. The 4E is just 1.3L 12 valve, SOHC and pretty outdated. The 4A-FE is a lot more sophisticated and was mainly designed for fuel efficiency, not power. Altho it's not a bad or slow engine in a car like that '99 Corolla. It's really exactly what you want, good economy and decent power in an N/A engine at the same time. And infact the 4A-FE is one of Toyotas more famous engines cause you can litterally not kill it. They go on and on long after the entire car rusts away. I was looking to buy a '97 Corolla with the same engine some years ago too but i got so much more value for money for buying the 406 i have today.

2008 Honda Civic in driving school. 2 different Peugeot 405's that i've owned, and a bunch of other ones. 2001 Peugeot 406 that i currently have. 1983 Toyota Corolla. Toyota Hilux, Land Rover Defender and a Skoda Octavia in the military. Testdriven a BMW 135i, Peugeot RCZ THP 156 and a Golf R. My brother's Mitsubishi Galant, Nissan Vanette, Mitsubishi Pajero, Saab 9-3. Toyota Hiace at work. And a lot of other not so very interesting cars here and there. It's been quite a lot.

Alright :) Then i have just one more thing to annoy you with :D How come the car is 170 bhp when the listed RS model only makes 130 bhp? Or is it chipped?

Yes but then it raises another question :D Why would you need 170 bhp to go to work and back? Even the 90 bhp you currently have is too much for that. You only loose fuel money if you have an unncessary big engine that you aren't using anyway. Still, i know its fun just knowing you have some bhp at your disposal :) And I'm not being mean i'm just speculating :) If you're really into car and you know how to build some yourself i've seen people having well over 200 bhp from the same engine you have in the 306. But it does take some decent building to get that. But hey, it's all fun if you know what you're doing :)

Swap a 306 for a boring Skoda? Bah, the day i would do something like that..... If it's horsepower you're looking for you can get that easily from the 306.

Isn't it hell to get somewhere when the front is that low? It looks good when it's low but.... Mine was also very low in the front when i bought it but it just isn't worth it the hassle of always worrying about scraping something in the end on an everyday car. Plus driving a low car in wintertime isn't the best idea.

When driving in snow it's better to have narrow tires. Big wide tires are bad. And are you driving with summer tires in that amount of snow? Traction control is bad to use wintertime. It doesn't really work on ice or if you get stuck in the snow. You need to do it yourself to get a feel of it.
