Hey all! Been drooling around on some processors these days, and saw the Q9650 :) 3.0Ghz x4  Thats insane, but I wonder if this monster can work in my computer?

I have the

- GTX 260 : http://uk.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=2&l2=6&l3=720&l4=0&model=2434&modelmenu=1

- 550W Corsair : http://corsair.com/products/vx/default.aspx

- Asus P5Q SE : http://uk.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=805&l4=0&model=2546&modelmenu=1

Thanks for answers. (hopefully) :D

Yeah :p Thinking about buying a 850W PSU and a Q9550 ;) I think it will be sexeh =D

Much better idea! ;)

I don't think the 9650 at 3.0ghz is worth an extra £200 over the 9550 at 2.83ghz so your doing the right thing. ;)

Pressurized bought the 9650 and I thought that was pointless but he insisted on buying it for some unknown reason... :p

simple reason: multipliers, you can overclock more with the same fsb to keep your memory in its limits. not sure if its worth £200 though
