79 Universal artists contribute to charity compilation album

Universal Music is releasing a compilation album called “Ai no Uta ~ Higashi Nihon Daishinsai Charity Album” on iTunes for a limited time, with all of the revenue going towards the disaster relief efforts in eastern Japan. 79 different artists have contributed a song to the album.

The album is being sold for 3,000 yen between April 2 and September 30. The complete tracklist and comments from various artists can be found on the album’s website.

The compilation is similar to another iTunes-only album called “SONGS FOR JAPAN” that was recently released internationally, featuring 38 top overseas artists.
