i have the same problem...i have been playing for 1 1/2 years and now it stopped working online..... i have 3 legal copies of the games cause i though the disk was screwed up but it turns out it isnt.... i patched it to 1.66a and nothing... no online.. i have so many cars and homes on online and i dont want it to go to waste!

Is it a Legit copy, Then you need to update to the latest version.

 

Or maybe it's a CD Key issue.
