Logitech G25

With TDU, i have noticed something very unusual when i use my racing wheel LOGITECH G25. well, when im in either 1st gear, 3rd gear or fifth gear (mainly the first gear) it would always ranodmly jump into neutral when i have my clutch down and gear stick in gear 1. While in neutral, and in gear 1, i push it a bit more the gear 1 and then it goes into 1. then suddenly without touching it goes back into Neutral. I know this is a bit off the modding TDU topic, but it affects my gameplay, and if someone out there with the same wheel please help me out and tell me why this is happening.

Sounds as though your switches inside the shifter are starting to go.

On it's way, or you're not shifting hard enough??

I sometimes have to force mine into 6th, but that's because of the wierd 6/R springs.

Could be the in-game settings. Is H-Shifter enabled, and do you have all gears set individually?

yes taht is all done, it just happened all of a sudden this wierd thing with the gears. I got this in Janruary, so about 7 months it was fine, now its starting to muck up, i ahve no idea

Hey,

I recently had a problem with my shifter on the G25. When I tried going into 1st and 3rd gear it would only go into 5th, and when I tried 2nd and 4th it would only go in to 6th. I emailed Logitech and they have now sent me a whole new set because mine was under warrenty.

Once my new one had arrived I took apart the old shifter and found a little black wire had come loose from the plug. You can see it in the pics below, it is meant to be soldered to the far right. That has now been soldered back in and I have 2 working G25s. I'm going to keep the new one in it's box and use my original till it breaks again.

If yours is less than 2 years old try and get a replacement, otherwise take it apart and see what you can do. I'm very satisfied with Logitechs customer service and I would expect them to sort yours out.

Let me point this out to you. When this problem occurs on mine, it happens only every so often. e.g. For 5 days it'll work fine, then for two days it would remain stuffed, and the same thing occurs. Myn is still under Warrenty as well i got it in Janruary of 2009, how would i consult with logitech to get a new one like you did?

I have just had a look on the Australian site and I can't seem to find the G25, did you buy it in Australia?

Yes I did buy it here in Australia. Can I ask, so you simply just sent an email, bla bla i have a problem with my G25, and where you live and you simply get a new one like that? How long did it take it to get sent to you?
