Hey all,

I wrote a small application today for my friends and I to help with backing up our save files to avoid the so called save corruption bug. Thought I'd share it here to make other peoples lives easier.

It's a small launcher style app that allows you to set where you would like to backup your save files to, and backs up your save files to that location either each time you launch TDU2 from the application, or whenever you wish to backup your files.

Your TDU2 save folder is backed up along with the date and time of the back in the filename.

Thought I'd share it here incase others wished to use it.

Let me know what you think of it.

Cheers

Brett.

PS. You can get it here.

i get a .net error

To run this application, you first must install the following versions of the .NET framework:

v4.0.30319

contact ur publisher for info bla bla

guess i just need a .NET v4 redist?

Will this also work for online profiles? I don't know how much information is stored on the TDU servers, but it might lead to an error if your local savegame data doesn't match the online data.

Cool (although I've just been using Windows backup to do it for me)

If you back up regularly it shouldn't be out of sync with the server too much and should be ok. It's like playing the game offline for a bit I guess (when the servers are full/down)

Yeah mate thats correct.

Lenman, as far as we know 99% of the profile is stored offline, so as long as you keep backing up your profile you shouldn't have a problem.

Hopefully you don't run into the corrupt problem, and although you can manually back it up yourself using Windows Explorer, this should save you a bit of hassle and time.

Ok thanks a lot! The only thing missing to make it perfect is an option to automatically restore one of your backups ;)
