Assassin's Creed movie - Official trailer released

So they've finally done it, the movie from Assassin's Creed.

Most of us have surely seen various short-movies that are set around the AC-universe, even parkour/freerunning videos have been themed to this, and as Warcraft movie hits the screens this summer, Assassin's Creed movie heads to them at 21st December, this very year!

My first thought: What the heck were they thinking when they put that rap-song (Kanye West I was told, never listened to it so couldn't say for sure) to the trailer when the picture transferred from "today" to the renaissance era? That person should be hit in the face real hard to be honest. It just does not fit there, it has absolutely nothing to do with Assassin's Creed, nothing to do with renaissance era, so in who's dreams was this a good implementation?

Second thought: This is freaking amazing! I've honestly been afraid of every movie that are being based on video games, but since they've already made books and all from Assassin's Creed, it couldn't be that bad, right? The Books can be used to assure that they follow the specifics and games on the other hand give a perfect audiovisual road to success with this movie.

It is a must see for me, not sure if I'll be heading to the theaters in order to see it, but I'll be getting it on Blu-ray, no doubt!

It does look amazing, I can't wait to see this! But yeah wtf were they thinking with the music?!?! they ruined the trailer with the crap they played.

Still I can't wait to see this in the cinema.

That's spot on :lol:

I feel they should have taken a page from the game trailers and use epic music that actually grabs your attention. Take unity for example they used a song that worked so well it made me watch it over and over again, same with revelations.

The movie genuinely looks great, and that's coming from someone who hates action movies (and yet watches lots..). I wish it was Desmond/Ezio, but nonetheless I think I'll like this character too.

This looks amazing. Fassbender and Cotillard are some of the finest actors around at the moment and Jeremy Irons is also in it, he's a very good classically trained actor and has played roles in this kind of era previously and very very well so that's exciting.

It's also worth acknowledging that the director of this worked with Fassbender and Cotillard recently on Macbeth, which won the Palme D'or in Cannes (I was there :D). So it really has every opportunity of working well.

The story and plot of the video games worked really well, so its success will most likely come down to how well adapted the screenplay is. Let's hope they've not changed it enough to annoy video gamers but it still works well to attract those that might not have heard of the game.
