No sound when opening game

when opening the game only the intro has sound then the game is muted.

things i tried to fix it:

changing the audio output

redownloading direct x 9

and a bunch of other small tweaks like changing the audio quality from dvd to cd nothing worked...

If you know a way around this please do comment below

just realised that the game sounds just fine when playing the platinum mod its the original game that has this problem

maybe has to do with patch version of the game or where you download that, i've played the original version didn't have the same issue but mine was with random fps gaps
