Ok, so I've been told this is powersliding rather than drifting, so can someone explain the difference?

Powersliding is just that; sliding sideways at high speed with lack of control & not powering it

Drifting is similar, but you are powering through the corner etc. with control

Is it true then that if I put Hardcore mode on I'll be albe to drift more easily?

 

Or is that just rubbish?
