Broken Xbox :(

I was playing it last night and then the screen went all trippy. I restarted it and now i not getting any video. I'm getting sound but nothing else D: Everything is plugged in and tried it on two monitors but nout works. It's over a year old (sept 06) and because its not the red ring of death problem the extended warrantee doesn't cover it :mad::mad: so it's either shell out £100 to get it fixed or wait till may and get an elite!!!!

I had screwy graphics on mine a couple of weeks back ... turned out the av connector had worked it's way loose ...

 

before you go spending money I'd suggest this

 

1. unplug EVERY cable from it

2. let it cool for a good half hour or so

3. plug everything back in making sure the connections are secure

4. pray!

Bad luck, i would seriously try to get the RROD, i think just wrap it in a towel and leave it for a while, not too long or it will probably set alight!

 

I prefer my 360 to my ps3 Shadow, im surprised you dont also

My ps2 broke within the first few weeks I got it. Very reliable.

Spoke to xbox support and it will probably getting sent away on Friday. But my god the guy in the call centre didn't have a clue.
