Speed up Firefox

Dunno how many of you know about this, but hey :p

 

enter 'about:config' in the Address Bar

Because Firefox is amazing, if you have 3 you'll see this XD

Promise to be careful, and insert 'pipe' into the 'Filter' bar (below your tabs) and you'll see these four values (I think there's only 3 on FF2)

Double click the first 'network.http.pipelining'. The value will change from 'false' to 'true'

Then double click the fourth 'network.http.proxy.pipelining'. That value will also change from 'false' to 'true'

Now double click 'network.http.pipelining.maxrequests'. change the value from 4 to 30, or if you have really fast internet change it to 50

Now restart firefox and speed around the tinterwebs even faster ;)

Try upping the number a bit, I saw someone who'd put it to 200 xD

I put it up to 1000 and i didn't speed it up or slow it down, I don't think i'd notice if it went faster anyway

 

E: I put it upto 1,000,000 and it slowed down a little, oops

I really can't decide, YouTube felt a lil smoother when I tried it...

Mine's quicker at 50, I may try it at 500. =]
