TDU:C Drift competition (close the old thread please Admins)

i have some rules for people that are interested, if you ACTUALLY wanna do it, leave your name and what you want to do, and i'll write it down to see how much interest we have. once the people have posted who want in, i think i'll leave it for about 3 or 4 days to gain interest, but if it looks promising, maybe make it sticky and have it as "drift of the week winner" comp like POTW etc :)

 

upto admins tho obviously.

 

we need at least 1 person to judge aswell, anybody who wants to do that can.

 

rules are:

cars:

 

anything not class A

 

Drifters:

 

get REALLY close without touching

try side by sides

you need a team mate, teams will be judged by the judge on:

 

style

drift angle

smoke

speed of entry

speed round the corner

 

who ever the judge thinks looks best, wins, i have a partner already, but leave your names here and i'll put them ina list, anyone interested can then pick partners etc, but we need atleast 1 judge...

 

Judges:

 

do not interfere, no touching of contestants and try keep a nice distance (30 yards maybe, so you can see what's happening without the danger of hitting anyone)

 

if connection is an issue (like you can only connect to 1 person) then the team mate at the back will film, send the vids to me, then they get uploaded to a youtube account and then viewed by the judge, the judge is welcome to film aswell if they want :)

 

 

PEOPLE INTERESTED...(list numbers will increase with interest, PM or reply in this thread if you're interested, go on MSN or Xfire, anything! the people on the list aren't all necassaraly on TDU:C either, i'm using thier in-game names.)

 

1 last thing...when you have picked a team mate...GET PRACTISING TOGETHER

we have nice even numbers now, get in contact with the people on the list and team with somebody, pick a team car and get practising...

 

then tell me what your teams are, and we need a judge to, anybody, it doesn't matter who, anyone who can drive and get on the track :D

we have started making prgoress, GET TEAMING SOON you have until wednesday, anyone not teamed will be made a judge or not allowed to participate as a competitor, if this goes well i might have 2 sections tho, team drift and singles against each other, where overtaking is allowed WHILST drifting, and nowhere else.

29th of october is the first practice day where we work out the kinks of it all, get judges and teams sorted, and have a practice comp, if this looks like it's gonna work, sunday that week is the actual competition...(2nd of november)

RIGHT, today - i want you all to come online and talk to me on MSN or Xfire if you can make it today, if you can, and you ahven't got a team, i'll force you into teams (no bias it'll just be you go with you etc) then from there, you 2 communicate and organise a car you wanan team in, you have until 7:30 to come online, team up and practice GMT+0 TONIGHT! what we'll do is: we'll get as many people in a server as possible, if we have connection problems going with them, we'll get everyone to leave besides the 2 drifters and the judge, i believe mightyreds and dangermouse are gonna be the judges for today, if you are judging, i want you to stick behind the last car, if 1 car falls off the track, the car before has to wait for them and the judge to catch back up, score it by which team you think looks and performs best together judges!

 

if all goes well expect this to be a weekly thing, every sunday, like the F1 :p

 

you practice when and where you want, but the competition is on the track cuz it's easy to judge everybodies talent on there...

yea, it failed miserably because nobody put any effort in besides me, Harrier, Ringo and Mortimer, DangerMouse was there too as a judge, so you can thank yourselves for this not going off on sunday either.
