Mercedes Mclaren SLR 722 mod

work in progress, but nearly done:thumbsup: will be available for download when its done. at the moment, the interior is looking like this:

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t233/skaterava/TDU/20081217203529.jpg

as you can see, new dials, and the dash is now carbon fibre like the 722.

however, theres one problem. the rims im using are the CLK DTM ones painted black. to get the DTM rims on, however, you have to use the TDU toolkit. this means if i make these rims available, they wont work unless the user switches rims from SLR to DTM, and then paints them black themselves? can any more experienced modders help me out here?

new rims are almost dead on 722's.

722 badge as well.

carbon fibre centre console and dashboard, and the dials have been modified.

please note this is an exterior and interior mod, i just put them in the exterior forum because....well, had to pick one.

all thats left is to fiddle with the dials a bit... oh, and can someone explain how i can put CLK DTM rims on the SLR, using the TDU toolkit, and still make them work for others when they paste the new rims in place?

It's just editing the file called lgt_rof, u can try,

i thought that the glass textures for headlights

are in the glass.2db file. ive edited lgt_fof and lgt_rof files before, made them darker, but it doesnt seem to have an effect.

the mod is almost complete, just an adjustment to the dials to be made....and of course, making the headlights darker. can someone help me out with that?

I'll try later, but some cars I don't know why it comes out with a bug,

the currently cars is DB9 and the CLS, I think this should work.

Well.....I'm sorry the rearlights really had bugs and I have got no idea how to fix it as below.

I've tinted the headlight,

brightened the headlight aside color

changed the headlight texture

removed the inner part from flashing,

the TDU SLR headlight is ugly after modding, and u can't fix it.

Well, Enjoy!

EDIT:and don't forget the 722 badge should be red!

I think this is the car with the most lgt_ file, most car u only need to modified lgt_fof for idle texture, lgt_fon for flash texture, lgt_f_g for where the lights to be turned on, and turned in reverse or what etc, rear are ron, rof, r_g, some cars fof = f-off.

And this car has about over 8files, I usally extracted all the lgt_ files to check, the ws_lgt files also works when I am estimating the light bulb to be smaller or bigger, or where the texture be.

I "think" it's the lgt_f_a, and lgt_fon, and lgt_"I don't know",

some cars don't have lgt_fof, like this one only have lgt_fon instead 90% of the cars has lgt_fof and lgt_fon. Till now all my modded car found that only SLR and MC12 don't have the fof, so they almost like share the fon file.

Hope it helps you :) !

hmm....the thing is i knew most of that  the SLR files are hopelessly confusing...

but, your information on the lgt_fof and lgt_f_a is useful. thanks for looking into it, i'll give it another go tomorrow and hopefully the mod will be done then.

but i still have one more question: i used the CLK DTM rims on this mod, and that means i had to use the TDU toolkit, because the original SLR and DTM rims are not the same file size.

so, if i make the mod available, doesnt that mean that as soon as people put the modded rims (which are from the DTM) onto the SLR, the game will crash? or will it work?

I don't see anything wrong about the Murcie coupe, only thing is that the Exhaust is blocky... >.<

If u comapre it with the Roaster you'll know, the front bumper, headlights, and a bit in the back, and also, Atari thought they are smart and removed the V12 .62L from the said, and added the Lamborghini colored logo on the steering wheel....etc

no, ive been at the Atari forums for over a year but only here for less than a week. okay thanks, this should help my modding a lot.
