  1. @TimBud Do you have your image in a bigger size of at least 1280x720 as per the rules? If not I will have to remove your entry. Sorry mate.
  2. POLL OPEN Don't forget if you entered and can vote* then you MUST vote, for your entry to be valid! Well done to all who have entered! You have put in some great pics for the theme and I am sure this will be another good one to watch before the eventual winner(s) are decided! :D *if you have less than 10 posts then you can still enter but will not be able to cast a vote ***************************************** A reminder that your entry MUST have 'entry post' on it otherwise it will not be accepted. This is the FINAL time I will allow entries that do not have it. :dwarn:
  3. It's not always going to be right on midnight GMT guys. People have things to do after all. :) Thread closed ready for poll.
  4. Ah Geneva, the E3 for car enthusiasts. :D Lots of amazing drops and reveals to scour through. I think I will start with the new McLaren 720S. I will say that it does look good but imo it doesn't look great. Maybe it is because I kind of have already seen it in GTA V. It is incredibly like the T20 despite that being made it look like a P1. Then again perhaps that's just what it is that I am not getting, this is taking the same styling cues from the lower-level McLarens and the P1 and this is what has been the result. There's something about the side profile, perhaps it's just too smooth for me. Not like that matters as I won't be in line to place an order anyway but hey I can still look right? Seeing it on the road might change my mind as has happened with many a car in the past. The newest 911 facelift does add some extra aggressiveness to the GT3 especially but that overbite is hard to miss when seen from the front quarter. Rapide AMR is a bit of a strange one. Being a vehicle that is designed more for covering many miles I cannot see a stiffer version being that sought after except for maybe those racing drivers who cannot use soft sprung vehicles due to their years of racing in back-breaking seats. (more in the past not so much now) It might just be me but I don't think that Bentley suits having the roof lopped off. There is something Jag about it when it is like this. I will say this though, if you are lucky enough to have mega amounts of money then the number of toy cars available to you are reaching a truly crazy amount. It seems there are more now than there ever has been and for the most part they are all absolutely stellar looking and do more right than wrong.
  5. As my esteemed colleague and the other one never got to posting the poll up, I am reopening this and extending the entry period to this Sunday. Normal service shall hopefully resume from then on.
  6. For future reference I will answer this so it is known: if you have made any posts on the forum then we cannot delete the account. This is because when an account is removed it changes that user to a default Guest and depending on the interaction with their contributions this can cause issues. We will however permanently ban the account and remove the email, DOB, signature etc from the user's details. This can be done as long as a change hasn't been done relatively recently. Just PM a staff member and those with the ability to do so will review and make the change requested.
  7. Started strong with the FXX K segment and the new studio is a proper car enthusiasts dream. The interview of the guest is always the weakest part I feel despite the new RFC, though McAvoy was alright and had some good chat. Harris needs to tone down the 'angry old man yells at cloud' persona as he seems to forceful at times, and it would be a shame to have people go off him as his pieces and his driving skill are really top drawer stuff. The main piece of the high-milers had its moments and despite some scripted events, it flowed well enough to not be completely predictable ([spoil]that rear impact was something else![/spoil]), the Volvo sounded amazing after that though so I easily forgot about it. Harris' car developing a certain trait also provided a few moments of comedy. In saying this however, they need to work on their chemistry and banter as it falls down at times and it becomes kind of awkward at parts. All in all though, a good start and an excellent base to build upon.
  8. Cool stuff, I like that first pic as it gives me some classic Gran Turismo intro feels. :p Awesome to see the different choices you guys made when it came to picking your cars too. Glad it went quite well for those who attended.
  9. Great to see some media from this, cheers for that Ozz and Loekie so far. Loekie, that was umm quite a run you had there, and I really respect that you can show yourself like that rather than need to have it be the best or perfect. :duck:
  10. Heading for another good one here and like my esteemed colleague above says, you got less than a day to get an entry in for it!
  11. Yes, that is another reason for making it into its own section. I debated with myself on whether to mention this actually and I chose to do so because even though I knew some people might and would read it like you have. However, leaving it out would in my opinion make more people think that this was actually the case because of its omission – basically a damned if I do, damned if I don't scenario. :( The idea behind it isn't one or the other. It is about giving the people easy access to what they want. You want typical topics then that's there for you, you enjoy the modding side then that is all there for you too. The extra work to make this the case wasn't easy (for an idiot such as myself), and if it was my plan to just stash it off to the side I could have simply done just the tab and left everything else as is, but I didn't. Change catches people off but if there is one thing I have learned from just being a simple web user myself and that is that the navigation always gets a look first. None of the links have changed, so search engine visitors and browser history locations will still work just like before too. I can sense something from what you've said but it is not anger, and I get why. Understand though that this change is an attempt to make it easier for visitors to get what they want. Think about it: does it make more sense to have a forum displaying in the main listing or a navigation link that is immediately accessible on visiting? If you are used to scrolling down then yes there will be a few cases of 'haha oops, I scrolled down again' but that will quickly pass. :) (same thing happened when the 'Quote' options were moved with our latest style if you remember) For desktop users sure but the growing amount of mobile and tablet users wouldn't see that unless they scrolled down a good bit on their screens. You have to take all these things into account when you do these things. ;) Just a note, this was not a factor for this change, I've wanted to do this for a loooong time and after some serious researching, testing and A LOT of errors I figured it out and so made it happen.
  12. [headline]Mod Shop split-off[/headline] We have decided to break off the Mod Shop from the main forums by removing it from the main forum display and giving it a Mods navigation tab of its own. The Mod Shop is a big part of us and we don't want this to look like we are hiding it away. That's not what this is about at all. Splitting it off into its own area has been done to make it easier for those of our visitors who frequent that location to be able to stay within that ecosystem and have their preferred info available to them as when you visit Recent on the Mod Shop you will only see items from that area. (I am trying to get other options to do the same sort of thing but they are hardly used so it's not a main priority right now) On the other side, those who have no real interest in it are able to check on and see items that they too are more interested in without having to filter out or skim past mod topics and postings. And of course for those visitors who enjoy both, they can switch between them to their heart's content. :p There are other aspects we will get to in the coming days and weeks but for now this is the main of it and we hope you will understand why we have done this and can also see the benefits we envisioned. Thanks.
  13. Milestone have decided to leave the rallying and motorcycles alone for now, however they are not straying away from motorsport at all as their next title GRAVEL is taking on off-roading. [via Gravel Videogame News]
  14. Best way to make sure you entry is valid is search google for the car you want to use then add estate or wagon at the end and see if there are results for it. Well known estates: Audi RS4/6, BMW 3/5 Touring, MB C/E Estate/Wagon, Volvo 850/V40/V70, Nissan Stagea, Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum? Estate and others of that body type. Shooting brakes are easy to find as the term is typically in the name of the vehicle itself or can be clarified with a search. You know what they say @Eeshan: Third time lucky! :D
  15. Hell of an update. You like the back of cars huh? :p
  16. It's a nice shot @Eeshan but it does not apply to the theme of this contest. Keep it for the future though.
  17. 18. What a magnificent set this latest series is!! Simply outstanding shots mate. The McLaren shot is a pure peach of a pic and is one of the most photorealistic* I've seen posted on here. The others that make me go 'woah' are the first i8 pic, the colours are lovely with how they contrast, and the Merc-AMG. This new (but actually old ;)) technique you have discovered provides another option for your pics, I don't think it should take over but it certainly would be good to see you mixing wide, normal and close-up shots in them for sure. :D
  19. Damn man, that P1 shot is nuts! Can see why you printed it out and decorated your room with it. :p I also really like the 205 shot because of the sky behind it, damn this game has some awesome clouds. I mean just look at them people!
  20. I look forward to seeing what you guys have to show from this like I look forward to a battered mars bar.
  21. @Kelvjy Was that an online race or were the AI just not feeling like racing clear today? @superhyper You can just feel the OMG I JUST DID THAT!! as your character remains motionless for a while after. It was a damn fine shot mind so yeah give up, you can't top that. :cheeky:
  22. Awesome find this and I get giddy when I read about the views people would see if they were to set foot on some of the planets. Sci-fi has always made me envious of those who will get to in the future see that sort of thing. Hell the Earth viewed from the Moon pics are stunning enough.
