  1. Alright, I've played it a while now. I'll rate this by job title. Physics guy - you did your job, I guess. Guy who decided to make cars handle differently depending on how far along you are - Go get stabbed. Vehicle modeler - I'm better than you. Quit while you're ahead. Sound recorder/converter - It's K Sound programmer - I REALLY hope you get hit by a bus. But it has to be while he misses a shift and the buss goes EEEERRRRHEHREHRHEHRHEHRHEHRE Guy who makes controls do stuff - You did half your job. Don't implement a clutch if it does nothing. This is seriously infuriating. Also, WHERE THE HELL IS MY STARTER CONTROL? 7ish/10 would bang occasionally. The setup I have it at now is ok for cruising. The story is driving me insane. Awful story telling, and just a horrible experience doing the story missions. I guess that guy can get stabbed too. I really wish the clutch worked, though. The fact that I can just pull up to lights off the clutch like it's an auto transmission drives me insane, along with the whole doing a burnout no matter what thing. That's my thoughts to far, subject to change, but I doubt they will without a major change. Oh, also, the car selection sucks. There isn't a single car that I want, other than the Charger, and speaking of that, the guy who decided the prices should go back to school, because you need some math skills bruh. EDIT: OH. Also. I was REALLY excited for custom paint and stickers. Had I known that custom meant like 7 options, I would never have spent my money.

  3. I thought this was being released tomorrow, but now it's today, and I've been up for a day and a bit and only have an hour to play and am $70 poorer. Not bad so far. Controls aren't all there, but I'm sure someone will post some settings soon enough. Graphics are driving me nuts, though. The AA is awful, and it seems like it fell into that GTA4 trap of making everything look like crap until it's 50 ft away

  5. Haha. That was the only good TDUCk PNG I could find. Sidenote: This game's a mess. If any of you ever make a game, name things logically. Roads are done, link updated. All lined up nicely, with nice crossroads, and nice goudr roads, whatever the hell that means. This god damn game's going to give me an aneurysm.
  6. I mean the terrain, roads, and assets (traffic lights, trees, etc.) I guess I'll just have to experiment a bit and see if I can figure something out for now.
  7. Two questions, one related, one somewhat related. My main goal with the mod set I'm working on is to make TDU just better in every way. Obviously, the biggest problem in TDU is the environment modeling. Being a 3D modeler, this drives me absolutely insane. So is there any way to extract the environment models yet? The other question, somewhat related: Is there a list anywhere that tell what files do what? I mean specifically inside the BNK. Commonworld.BNK is a mess. I'm spending hours just trying to find the right files

  10. So I've made some new road signs for TDU, speed limit, stop signs, etc. I feel like I've tried every possible DDS format, with and without mip maps, and nothings working. It just keeps coming up with the no texture orange. Anyone know what format they need to be saved in? Also, same question for the crossroads. Any ideas? EDIT: Keep original file header option in the DDS>2DB converter seems to have fixed it. For anyone else wondering, save out of Photoshop as BMP, then convert that to DDS DXT 1 with DXTBMP, then convert to 2db with original header.
  11. I'd try restoring the Database folder. I was having problems with it crashing seemingly caused by renaming vehicles (ranaming them myself, not from your mods) EDIT: Just saw the rest of the thread, ignore this That said, I have about 10 of your cars installed and they're all flawless. Awesome stuff

  13. Well, I mean, if we want to go that far, I'm behind it. I don't have much time to play, so I don't really get to do big massive drives like I used to. I do maybe 50km in a car, at the most, then switch to another. I see your point, though. Maybe it would be good as an option then?
  14. More fuel consumption would be nice. It seems to take ages to drain the tank at all. Also, what variables are affecting it at the moment?
  15. Did you remember to set combined pedals in Logitech Profiler? EDIT: Guys. That integration. Oh my jebus. At first I thought it was a bug, but holy hell you guys are doing this right.
  16. Drive a lot, do the short challenges like speed ones, then all the car delivery, parcels, etc. You'll be there in no time.
  17. Lol. The exterior ones are nice, with the needle and the smooth movement, the blocks just take up too much space and are boring, IMO
  18. Got on and the first thing I see is Combat Shotgun off in the distance. Then I spent 20 minutes following DALLAS around while he did wheelies and crashed. Sweet mother of jebus I've missed this. Is there a chance you could do one with the exterior view fuel guage show n the interior aswell? Those fuel bars are butt ugly

  20. I thought so, but after copying everything in Database over it was still wrong. Maybe something just got mixed up along the way
  21. I've now copied over everything but the Level folder, and still no change. I think I'll just have to redo millions of hours of camera and physics fixing >_<
  22. Just reinstalled after completely destroying my old install because I was messing with things. Last thing to do is get back the custom cameras/physiscs I had set up, but I can't figure out what file they're in. Anybody know?
