Hey guys, quick Yo ! Nice little chat you have here, I knew about Ivory Tower project, I hope it still goes forward (in the right direction :p ) ! Do not ask me why I did that, maybe some reptilian reflex I had, I tried to log myself on the TDU2 home page... Ahh yes I remember : I wanted to check if eventually the official forum were back :D They aren't. And even worse, the login server seems to be down too, but hey, who would want to check his TDU2 account... Abandon ship, ladies & childs first :hide::panic: ! Just to tell how far Atari is in deep muhmuh now, so I laughed a lot at the messages about them involved in TDU3 :rofl: Some ideas about a new open world driving game : "Drive It" "Let's take a ride" "Road Hunting" But my personal favourite would be : "We won't let you down" :tipshat::

Hey community patch makers, I'd like to ask if ther's by any mean a way to reintroduce drafting in the game as it was in 1st episode ? For the windshield tint part, I think I saw a post about that particular subject by Tomsolo. I think it has to be done for each car, so it might be a long process, but just guessing, I'n no expert !

Very nice initiative Speeder :) Wow, imagine a good light modding that would allow us to actually SEE cars lights ingame (ahh, to see others blinkers !). That would be ultra nice...

Test Drive Unlimited 2 DLC2 + Fixes Announced *PC 12/04*

I see some confusion between a poll and an actual official notification. It is highly unlikely that this DLC2 should be payware. Many people have explained that very well. Long terms short, due to its interaction with the game, there would be only one way to make it payware : having a free DLC2 and a pay DLC2. But that would be twice the amount of work, and everybody here knows that it couldn't be handled by Eden. So the DLC2 is going to be free. Proven... But be prepared for a lot more payware DLCs : more cars (I can imagine a Ferrari pack, due to TDF proximity !), more motorbikes... Or so I hope ? -
Try to run it with admin rights (right clic). Rev your mods look awesome... I will still wait till some update to use the free slots in TDU2. I like my MP4-12C, my F-308 :p Keep the good work :)

When "who stole what from who" is unclear, I think it's time to take a step back ! I thought this forum was against hacking and pirating ? Isn't modding others work some kind of stealing/ pirating ?? Tool admitted publicly that his models were from Turn10 in his own posts. I'm not gonna give any lesson to anyone, but a thief should expect to be stolen sometimes... Even if he is the best of all that's not different. What I found displaced in Tool reaction, was that he told he has been stolen "his" models... That would be a lie. No further comment from me :)

Just to be clear, I did not talked about FFB improvement nor better material support, because the main improvement that the V27 made are I think (since Atari are still arses !) about tires physics (besides some changes about cars' top speed and high speed behavior). Try to take a car in some mountains curves, you'll see what I meant by saying before "less erratic" ! The whole arcade gameplay seems now more coherent unless you reach the "scripts limits"... I mainly tried it in "Sport" and "Full assistance" modes, cause I don't find the other one finished... There are cars ingame that are more sensible to this update, like the Shelby Cobra : for this particular car the update is very noticiable. I still think the game is a total desaster on Atari's side, but it is still worth something if the last devs are pointing it in the right direction : improve physics is one of the main problem with material support and FFB for wheel users, and that's the only good way to keep the game in long term play, I don't deny that... Besides, the modders community seems very active theses days :)

*yo all :) Been a looooooooooong time I've been posting news about the binned game :( that I hope will be very soon out of the bin !! First of all, I've been testing and even playing the last PC V27B11, and there have been good tires' physics improvement, in a good result to driving being less erratic in spotive conditions. No effort though about the FFB itself or the material support... The patch is quite small but from a dev I met ingame, there have been a lot of time and amount of programming just for that. Best is to try by yourself, undig your TDU2 and play online !! Tell us what you think about the new physics. BUT !!! You can't try it now, because all PC servers are offline, and this also goes for the whole "testdriveunlimited2.com" domain (including forums...) I could sense a surprise, that I hope good...

Wow, I have had many nice TDU2 good surprises these times ! I quit for 2 months and when I get back, what do I see : first the "small" update about physics ingame for PC (no changelog as usual) making freerides a bit more pleasant (and making me feel that TDU2 has not been BINNED by Eden at least :P ), and Djey and all other modding tools getting in contact with a promising game (still is !). How cool ! As a not modding guy but having ideas, I'd like to ask : would there be a way to activate/ deactivate the HUD-GPS in free ride with theses tools ?? +rep for Djey and some more here !!!- 411 replies

(that is if I'm sure not to have Tokens or activation problems arf :p ). What will be your choices ?

I put a 4, not as a sanction, but I just FEEL the scripts while driving, I can brake airborne (with a nice 'screek' sound), I can't pass the "Speed wall" even in the steepest road, I can't contersteer in the so-called "Motion-picture-type-of-driving" announced by Atari. Listen well : I'm not flaming the game, I do like it, I even find it addictive. But it is definitely not graceful to the driving. I'd love to have something arcadish like in FlatOut style, something the game isn't so far from in off-road mode, if you nicely stays inside the limits ot the scripts. But how annoying when you try to push the limits and you find walls in the programming of the driving scripts. You arrive at the edge of the script, it is always, whaterver the situation, BRUTAL ;) It was definitely not the case in TDU, all the driving part was very progressive even in arcade mode. The other thing backing me from giving a better note is that cars are not related to the road in any way. On any road, I can, if well aligned, let the wheel alone and accelerate and brake, and the wheel wont even move or vibrate... I had absolutely no difficulty to win all carreer championships almost without restart (at least @ Ibiza ;) ) in very little time. I was very often few seconds ahead in Time races that ppl found "so hard" (sic !) I drive in Sport (most A or B cat.) or so called HC mode (if Classic cat.) on the PC version with a G25. Edtit : I forgot about the 'lag' and every problems related to a real poor wheel (& pedals) support... Yes, we feel the lack of the former "Racer-Devs" that are now gone working for SimBin :(
