  1. Cool you answer so detailed. About the reflections on the car. I didn't mean better reflections in quality. I ment they should move correctly. I guess it eats up nearly same calculations moving wrong, then they would moving correctly :-q . If you drive forward, they shouls move backwards, like the surrounding does, when you drive through it. In TDU 1 the move in drivin direction, wich is a stoned view of reality. In cockpit view they move normal, like it should be. Maybe a modder thats more into the gamecode than me could just copy paste the movementcode from cockpit view to the 3rd person view codes. Like L3AN and Speeder. Sounds from youtube videos are not interesting ? You think of law problems using them in an own game ?
  2. Urrm, first of all, cool project. You said that the UE4 does not have the physics capability you would like to have. But is it enough for being as good as TDU 1, according to driving physics ? Because this would, at least for me, be all i need, löl . When i think about this here, i imagine a TDU 1 with the basic things that where missing, in it. Lightflares, rain + wipers, being able to leave the car or at least open the doors, for cool parking in freeride, but much more important, lighting details. You know, streetlamps, DIFFERENT light in the windows of buildings, orange cateyereflectors on the streets in tunnels or on the road at night. Streetside reflectors in the plancs sometimes. This also ads feeling of speed to the game. Better variaty in engine sound design. Correct reflections in the carpaint and everything, we know they are moving forward instead of backwards on the car, in the original TDU 1. Yeah all this is possible in the UE4. I would overhaul TDU1 if i would want to learn only, and want a game like TDU 1, like you said. I really would like to have a TDU 1 without the failiures, and better graphics, sounds, etc. instead of another game with other spots. I like that island :-q . And in TDU 2 everything is so cartoonish, plus the driving is worse than in TDU 1. For the sound, i think of a system, where single events are independent designable, like backfires, a keyrattle, or material moving sounds, insects that splash on the frontwindow etc. . There should be s seperate rev sounds system for when the neutral gear is put in, and the most important, for every gear a SPEEDBASED revsystem. Not a revhightsystem. You know, how does the car sound in 4th gear at 100km/h and how does it sound at 200 km/h, can be put in different then, not like in TDU1 one file for the same gear in a rev range. There the 1st gear sounds at lets say 6000 rpm the same like the 4th gear at 6000 rpm, and that is crap. If the 1st gear never reaches the speed like in 4th gear at same rpm, the sound will be different with a speedbased rev system. Of course this would be more work, by the factor of gears. 6 gears, six times more work. But it will be worth it, and i would WANT this more possibilities to do things. Tnx for reading :-q.

    1. O thanks man, i didn't see your post, due to the forum was unavailable a little while. Today i worked again on it, and after a little polishing, it is really ok now. I changed the appearance of the mid downtouring, and distorted the onup a little bit. I really like it now. Have a try :-q .

    4. The ground basis is done. It doesn't completely sound like in the referencevideo. The blow off valve is different. So is the low ontouring. But, it's not the final, and not the only version that will be there. The referencevideo is there to show how high this car can sound, I think it is at least an 800 hp car. Could be 1000.       1. Wow, at first , thank you. I take the comparison wit TDU2 and Outrun as a compliment. You absolutely adore WTF, i appreciate that a freaking lot, what a comment. I just got told i lost a beloved person i know sinced i can think. That's exactly what i need now, anything good. The timelapse of project paradise determines how fast the time ingame goes by. It's just a weird case you always start with the night. Because as you can see later on, in my mod, it starts with almighty bright flowerpower sunny middaytime. Urrm , of course there is a way to exclude specific timephases. Open weatherdesc.ini with notepad, after you made a backup for when someone does working headlights. Delete the timephases you don't like. Save it. Done. Well, not quite yet, do a video, then you're done, löl. I like seeing people posting videos with my mod ;-q . What you don't like about the morning ? It's got the lil nebula from the condensed water, the dark morning thingy going on there. What's not good. What can i change ? Tell me. And afternoon ?

      4. Yep, but the problem i was responding to, is related to windows 10, and why the guy could run TDU in windows 7, but not in windows 10. I told him that it's probably the windows 10 build that's not compatible for securom anymore, but there is a build of windows 10 that is compatible with securom. My version is 1607 and os build 14393.693 . Hehe, yes and those fancy furthermore programs you told about, i completely forget about, as i will not ad one single further one to this game, just for being able to play it. Before doing so i do another partition, with nice windows xp, and put it there, together with other nice programs i'm used to, and wich are better than their newest version for other operating systems. For example dds converter 2 , wich doesn't want to work with newer os, but for the new ones it hasn't got the key function anymore, wich is converting photoshop files directly into nearly all types of dds files, wich was a great way to add own alpha layers to whatever you want, meaning a copy of an original alpha worked too. Using an original file with its alpha, changing the texture would not work, as it is somehow protected. You had to adress a copy of the alpha to your new texture file, and then convert it. You know. I don't understand why you would fool securom. It's windows 10 that doesn't accept securom anymore, not securom not accepting the TDU disc. And about the ISO image file, yes i know that, but that is no mini disc file or such. Also 120 % alcohol is a very confusing name for a program. You don't think that should be said in addition for people to understand ? Ok, bye for now.

      6. Audacity only can could work, i don't know if they changed it by now, minimum in 16 bit mode. Exporting to 4 bit will ad this space. Solution is simple and very clever found by myself :-p. Reimport the file like you did to show us. you've got to find the common divisor of both formats, then the file having the same lengh in both formats. To find it, without changing the tempo too much, lay them both the 16 bit file and the 4 bit file over each other. If the 4 is smaller than the 16, select in the 16 a little bit less but still bigger than the 4, export and reimport and compare again. If the content of the 4 is being more moving towards the 16, thats an improvement. Normally this improvement only takes place one time before getting bigger than the 16. When improved, you need to adjust the tempo of the 16 bit exactly till it is fitting the 4 bit. Then export, reimport, should be the same lengh. They share the same lengh to format to amount of bits relativity now, like 4 is in between 2 and 8 when multiplying with 2. Sort of. This way you can keep the file you worked the clean loop out for, and don't have to change the tempo too much. Also in audacity i recommend to set the project format you are working with, BEFORE you start working with a file, not changing the bitformat in between the work, as it clearly remembers the projects attributes in some aspects, allthough you changed it later on maybe.       7. I know, old thread, but, game old too, but yet interesting, so. The black color are the areas not effected by the blurring. I think making this a smoother conversion between black and white, so to say more greylevels, will make the blur barrier softer also, and moves the blur area more to the middle of the screen. But i find it ok like it is in original dimensions, i have it very slightly activated or off anyways. When i installed winxp pro 64 bit in addition to my setup, i can run dds converter 2 again, and have a try on it.
      8. Hey drifterboyd. I had the same problem with TDU and windows 10. The problem seams to be the securom program, wich tests if you have an original copy of TDU. For windows 10 it was the only copyprotection software compatible with for making old and XP games to work with it. But as i've read, they decided to screw it, because it being too scammy in some ways, wich i must confirm. So many times it claimed me not having the original disc inserted, and EVERY time i tried a second time, it worked normally. So, what happened to me was, the windows 10 pro edition i have works fine with it, but when windows updates itself, this compatibility is gone, and TDU doesn't work anymore. So, just restore windows, using a restore point, that is done before the update, and TDU should run fine again. I suggest winprivacy, a program, in where you can switch off the automatic update function, and other for gaming not needed things. Or look into the normal settings and services in computer management, to turn them off inside there. Windows 10 is the best windows i ever experienced yet, once i did the setup good. Peace --- Post Updated --- TDU2 more stable server ? It was off and on once and everyday for at least half a year till 1 month ago or so. And in TDU now servers are even better than the original ones where. Ok there are way less players, and less functions, wich could be the reason. Did you setup your internet adapter to 100 mbps yet ? In windows 10 it's at action center at lower right, then network, network settings, change adapter options, ethernet, properties, configure, advanced, speed&duplex, there is 100 mbps half duplex, and 100 mbps full duplex. I just set full duplex. What this means ? I have to go and find out myself, as i don't know :-p . Maybe this helped.
      9. Hi speedshop14, i mean i'm not Jorge, AND it's not the right place for your comment. Are you a big big fan of Jorge yes ? Wow i've never heard of someone paying for a soundmod. To me never someone donated money for my mods, so. But hey, if you want, you can pay me some money too for my sounds, if you are doing commercial right away for someone else in my thread, with whom i had a little discussion with, hmm ? And by the way. He is saying i would unbalance the game with that common.bnk carsound file, right. He also changed this file, and does say it's highly recommended by him, to have this together with his enginesounds. THAT's the reason, why he was complaining here. My recommendation is, use my commoncar soundbooster with ANY soundmodder's enginesound you like. You will have your favourite enginesound louder, without having annoying disturbing sounds being louder too. That's what this mod is about, and not changing the original sounds, like in Jorge's commoncar soundfile. He's not unbalancing it, no, he's replacing it. That's worse than unbalancing, no matter if he's doing it right. --- Post Updated --- Tnx magicV8..
