Well I got the OEM CPU version, not retail (- minus fancy box, any manual, any fan and heat sink (paste). I didn't need a manual as the Mobo came with a very detailed one. You 100% need some form of paste otherwise the CPU will actually physically explode. Also, you need a fan to keep the temperature stable and cool. You get some paste and fan with the retail version, but according to everyone who I spoke to on 3 forums, they said it would be best to get the OEM CPU (£10 less) + my fan (£15) meaning I spent £5 more. But the paste (which is already applied onto the fan) is much better and the fan is in a different orientation to the retail one for better air flow. It's very easy to fix, just face it in the direction you wish the air to flow, peel off the plastic cover which protects the paste, plonk it on and you're done with 4 screws. I was lucky that there was less than 1mm between the fan base and the Mobo Copper Cooling thingy. MadMax said his mate wasn't so lucky, but they fixed it by bending part of it. I don't honestly see the advantage of getting anything higher than Home Premium. Except braging rights ... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/compare-editions/default.aspx Yes, you get some extra hardware protection, but getting home premium isn't going to blow up at specific GPU because it doesn't like the colour of it! Same goes for data, I keep backups anyway ... And I don't need the business access. Home Premium comes with Romote Access should I actually need something of that sort. For £59 I was really pleased with it =]

I'd say second, even though they are both very nice views :)

--- Try to get to grips with XviD encoding is a pain :p ++ The videos go at different Frame Rates, so it's funny to watch all 3 keep at the same pace but different FPS xD http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s79/IcedBullet/2F2F_Desktop.jpg This is legal as it's my DVD and I wont be giving to people ... just storing on my HDD. Might aswell use the 1TB :p

Well as RB says, you are able to buy Quad for it yes. But as I found out, this will only really help you when you're in games and using FRAPS. For mundane tasks such as copying files, Dual Core is best price/performance, as it only goes the speed of the CPU. So a Dual Core 3.5Ghz for the same price as a 2.4Ghz Quad, the Dual will be much better at copying files. At this stage, programs aren't programed to take advantage of all 4 cores, but then you can set programs to use specific cores, like (1)TDU (2)TDU (3)FRAPS (4)FRAPS + iTunes for example. It's up to you. Weather you want less time encoding things or the ability to have programs running on multiple cores. You wont tell a difference on GRID or TDU between at £150 Dual or a £150 Quad. -

I think Speed let Carboy enter a winner again, I'm not sure. It may not have been a winner, but he did let him re enter, it's just it can't be the sequential week if I remember correctly.

Does it matter? We might aswell put his work to good use =] We have enough models so far ... and with the rate he's churning them out, we might have another by the end of the week. But I understand if he's too busy of course =] Want me to put you in group 2? -

Mod Requests [Read First, then Post Here] Right, with me having some spare time, having let the Mod section slip a bit and being bored. I have created this thread for Mod Requests of any shape or form. Interior, exterior, sound or environmental, post it here ... If a thread is created, I will either leave it there for a few days, then shove it in here, or merge it straight here when I see it. So please don't be suprised if you see your thread has gone, it's probably in here =] [ The first few posts will be in an extremely random order, please ignore these, as several threads have been merged at once in an attempt to serious tidy up the Mod Section ... ] Please post information on what you would like to be modded on your behalf, be it: colours?, size?, amount?, which car model modded? etc And remember to say please as someone will be taking the time to complete your order best they can. Posting in here does not guarantee your request will be fulfilled. Please be aware that frequent requests from the same member get annoying as it seems spoilt and demanding. - TDU Central Staff and Modders

Game modders: your opinions please?
Iced_Bullet replied to Leadfoot[YT]'s topic in Car Customization Mods
Was this a direct hint at Basbas for a tutorial? :p I did think about a sticky for requests, but it's really only new members who post these billions of threads, therefore they would generally not use them, maybe they would. I don't know ... thoughts? Do we really need a new thread? But then again, 1 new thread to save 2 new threads every day perhaps? Also, I should sort out this contents stickies I promised :p Might do it now while X Factoring =]
