  1. At first I was like 'You have a picture of a laptop on your laptop?' :oook: and then I realised it must be the box
  2. TDU1 was all exotic sure, but it was also about being able to cruise and chill with friends for hours without getting bored. Forza Horizon doesn't have that reputation yet. Even if it does have amazing roads, handling, and engine sounds if it doesn't have a large enough map and geared towards 'unlimited' gameplay options then it just isn't going to last (just like the first one). Round the world race in TDU1: ~45 minutes to complete Round the world race in FH1: ~7-10 minutes Round the world race in TC: ~4 hours If FH2 is 3x the size as as FH1 it's still going to be less than TDU1. Not terrible but it's a bit last decade still. Let's hope the quality makes up for any lack of quantity.
  3. How are things going Emir?
  4. Well I think with Asphalt, Real Racing, and Reckless Racing/Getaway we're fairly well covered for mobile driving games as it is.
  5. "It all started when she waved and stopped me to ask for a favour. Not being in a rush I thought I'd do the nice thing and take her to the airport. If only I knew this would be the start of an epic adventure."
  6. Posting this might be a little premature (might be better off waiting for new game releases) but meh Basically this is like the old 3-word game where people take in turns making a random story. This time you can post 50 words or less (i.e. a sentence or three) but you need to post one of your screenshots that drives the story. It's up to your imagination how deep and detailed you want to get, and you can use any game, be it driving, first person, or even a train simulator if you're into that. Couple of guidelines - Avoid getting too dark or gory with the topic - think more along the lines of an Adventure story perhaps? - Forum rules regarding inappropriate topics/language and insults still apply. Maybe we'll all take on one anonymous character and write in the first person. If that's not interesting enough, I may consider a slight change where you have to write the words based on the last image posted, and then you post an image for the next person.
  7. I don't really want TDU3 (Atari) to be honest. They've stuffed up and now there are new studios filling the gap. NFS haven't been international (outside the USA) since 2001 (Hot Pursuit 2) by my reckoning. It's a trend that needed to change 5 years ago, and hopefully it's a trend that Forza Horizon 2 will start (i.e. others will follow suit).
  8. I wonder if they're any different if driving manual with clutch
  9. erm I dunno. 'muricans don't seem to care for geography outside the USA and I'm kinda the opposite  But I have seen traces of numerous older NFS games, Burnout, and even a little bit of Split Second in the map. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9hMAm-hpnI
  10. Your HDD has been giving you warnings for some time, you've already left it too long and will be lucky to recover everything off it, so dispose of it or have fun trying to pull it apart or something. My gaming PC has a 240GB SSD for which I just have 2-3 games installed that can use all the performance I can throw at it (like pCARS). Everything else runs from my WD Black 2TB drives.
  11. New York is looking nice It's funny watching these cruising videos and seeing environments that remind you of older games - after all there have been plenty of USA-based open world driving games, even if they were small maps. I guess you could also theoretically compare Boston with Watch Dogs as well.
  12. Andreaz enters for the second time and is on par for his second win.... and I thought superhyper & T1M were good at this
  13. If you want the best of both worlds, get a SSD for C:\ (Windows, Program Files, and your newest games), then get a WD Red 2TB drive. Try and avoid going for lots of HDDs in your PC as you create excessive noise and heat.
  14. Search Google for Hirens and download and make a CD of it. Boot your PC off that disc into MiniXP. There are a bunch of free tools bundled in there that may assist you in recovering the data. Once you've done that grab a hammer (and safety glasses) and have fun destroying the 320GB disc.
  15. :hmmm: 7.2 is the worst I get on average - more often 6.9 l/100km
  16. ...which for a GTA style map isn't too bad, but trying to cram in the best of France and Italy in there is a bit :oook:
  17. Keep in mind these guys are in an important contest, so they're going to be going for the driving mode that gets them to the finish line the quickest, not necessarily whichever one is the most 'realistic'. As :gdance: mentioned in the chatbox yesterday, he used the Sports mode for the races then switched back to Hardcore mode for cruising.
  18. That's what I mean... 3 times Colorado (FH) still sounds smaller than O'ahu in TDU...? And if you remember during all the marketing hyper and games conferences all the devs avoided all of the "how big is the map" questions up until release, so maybe watch out for similar tactics this time. :hmmm:
