  1. Hi there Welcome to the forums. We do not offer support for games not legally acquired. Try searching Google/eBay/Amazon, etc for the game as it was recently removed from the Steam store (you should still be able to activate a Steam key purchased from another store though)
  2. What tipped you over? Was it the unveiling at LTX? :) Congrats mate.

  4. Yes I can understand that, there are some great improvements but also a number of surprising bugs compared to my recollection of the launch for TC1. Also I fear once the career races are completed there's not much to do if not playing with friends. The day 1 content really does not justify the high price tag, but I reckon they will "No Man's Sky" players with long-term free updates (and probably more paid expansion packs).
  5. The game is fun and I'm enjoying the diversity of vehicles with such a large map. Some of the visuals and weather is lovely, and overall the vehicle physics are enjoyable on the gamepad. There are a few glaring bugs and omissions and the number of things to do seems limited compared to the first game, but for now I'm still having fun and just like in TDU1, with some friends and imagination you could come up with a lot of fun gameplay ideas. So, who's playing? The shops seem even weirder: The Crew 2's America features some very weird stores | PC Gamer
  6. Yes using 3440x1440 so that must be it
  7. I've found it a bit annoying how many times I reckon I have the right elements but the labels stay grey and don't turn green. Have tried moving the camera around quite a bit with not much success, so will take a look to see if you do things differently. Thanks for sharing.
  8. Is it possible to redirect /forum.php to the new main page address? I keep getting 404's using old auto-complete URLs (yes I do know how to change that but just being thoughtful of others who may think we are under maintenance). Thanks
  9. tduck banners or game banners? What size (resolution)? Current assets include contributions from @Milli
  10. Looks really nice, how about those trees, eh @insaneone ? My only skepticism is over the size of the map. I know they roll these out every two years and slowly get bigger and bigger but they really need to deliver something as large and intricate as TDU1 (>10 years later). More time will tell, hopefully before launch.
  11. Just purchased the Gold edition on PC and successfully got 20% off for 100 Ubi points. The purchase gave me another 100+ points so I can get 20% off a future purchase (or more likely some unique car variant in the game).
  12. Announcing content and support plans for the first year after launching TC2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ycwq2gIinrw Ubisoft details The Crew 2's post-launch support plans

  14. Map comparison East coast/Miami land area seems different. Top of the west coast doesn't go as high. If if you look top center the default snowy area is much smaller in TC2. However as mentioned earlier the amount of snowier area might change dynamically - most of the map could be snowy last this year... Old video from 2017 fades between both:
  15. Nope my wheel hasn't been setup or used in over a year. Just used the xbone controller.
  16. Haha I don't think I've spent a single crew credit in TC1 on vehicles. Maybe there were some extra perks that could only be unlocked with them.
  17. One thing that I like is how road cars aren't completed neutered when driving off road or on gravel roads like they were in the first game. There are still various specs of vehicles, but at least for cruising it feels more natural. In the beta at least, you can't fast-travel to any point on the map like you could in the past, which is a little annoying. A lot of the map is immediately accessible by jumping to events and then driving from there. Or you can fly to save a bit of time, but that's limited to around 250kph / 150mph in most of the (stock) planes I tried. It's a game I would spend a bit more time with but I'm finding it hard to justify their asking price - it seems like they might be charging us now for future developments/enhancements (most of which we would expect to be paid expansion packs anyway, probably not even covered by the Season Pass). The in-game vehicle prices still annoy me as well. The currency is severely inflated for lower-cost vehicles. i.e. supercars in the game may cost around 600,000 - 900,000 units, which is reasonable. But then most of the cheapest cars available are around 80,000 to 300,000. Even fast motorbikes (normally priced similar to basic hatchbacks) around around 300,000 - 400,000 units.

  19. I'm sure he will get to it... s**n. :)
  20. I'll let you know, I've redeemed the points for a checkout coupon but will wait until after I try the latest demo, erm beta, just in case I find a reason to hold off. One thing I haven't worked out yet is if there are police chases in this game at all. Some say it doesn't fit the 'legal racing' theme of this game.
  21. I know The Crew 2 has a lot of different types of vehicles, but it still seems really expensive compared to the first title, especially when adding the Season Pass. Usually only Gran Turismo and Forza demanded such a high price for collector editions. However, if you've completed a few Ubisoft games you may have a stack of 'Club Units' points which typically give you extra vehicles or paint jobs as rewards. However I've just noticed that you can trade 100 of these points for a 20% discount at the Ubi Store, which will pretty cover the cost of upgrading your version from Standard to Deluxe, or Deluxe to Gold! And it looks like you earn back 135 Club Units when purchasing through the Ubi store which can go back towards some bonus inside the game. If you don't have enough Club Units you may be able to fire up some of your other Ubisoft games to quickly earn some more. Will this discount convince you to preorder or the game (or preorder a better version if you were always going to get it)? Don't forget that the Beta in running now for the next 4 days if you want to trial it. There is no NDA for sharing images or video this time so there will be plenty more YouTube videos covering gameplay.
  22. The next beta invites are going out. If you're on PC there are new nVidia drivers claiming to optimise this closed beta of The Crew 2.
  23. Some articles are praising MS for their free update to Forza Horizon 1 on the Xbox One X (backwards compatible) to make it 4K and considerably prettier. Has anyone tried this? Did your progress and DLC migrate from your old X360 console ok?
  24. Interesting remark about 2 individuals on this project: Bigben Interactive Secures Rights to Test Drive Unlimited; New Game in the Works Diego Sartori (formerly of Simbin) is also works at Bigben, he was the Producer on GTR 2, the Game Director on RACE- The Official WTCC Game and the creative director on Race 07 before he left to join Bigben Interactive to work on WRC 5 and now WRC 6. Below is a blurb on Diego's past work. I don't think Bigben Interactive picking up the rights to the Test Drive series was random at all, this was very calculated and most likely pushed by Alain himself. Fear not skeptical ones, this game appears to be in very good hands.
