    Love being able to work through the night now in my fortress and not worry about any mobs Will probably expand my west border/wall later on so that I can see inside my walls from the treehouse Days seem to be shorter again. Built 2 monster traps but haven't seen any monsters yet.

    Welcome to the forums and congratulations on avoiding all the minefields that might've got you in trouble :p Just so you know that vast majority of "everyone" here dislikes TDU2 but we still hang around and play other games (click the What's New link under the banner to get an idea of what's popular)

    Any racing games that don't have fantasy physics. TDU3, pCARS (possibly), Assetto Corsa (wasn't this supposed to be released in Q1 already?), Forza/GT, Drive Club... Doubt there will be a massive representation of car games there anyway, E3 is for the biggest outfits to show off whereas the smaller ones tend to prefer Gamescom in Germany it seems.

    Don't games have ratings/classifications that show all that before you buy them anyway? (That said I can't recall them standing out as much in the Steam store compared to the bright stickers on traditional boxed games). Having read that article I don't think it's a good idea to have such an element in games but at the same time Dan is 100% correct, the guy's a hypocrite for playing an FPS in the first place.

    With all the good spots you'll probably have to shack in with abominable snowman in the winter wastelands :p Will be good to have more people. I spend way too many hours last night on my treehouse fortress. I liked the massive glass windows in Adam's house so tried the same thing, but wasn't happy with how it looked. I might keep it though since some mobs can't see through glass. It feels weird sleeping outdoors but I haven't encountered any monsters yet. Being high up adds to the feeling of safety though. Later on I'll make a few walkways to link up the other nearby trees in my reserved area. You're welcome to have a quick look but be careful as I've been reading wiki's on how to create traps and am experimenting. Please do not leave the door open or mine anything inside (there are walls all around - although there's room for improvement around the back - I saw some ocelots get in somehow). I noticed MSI Afterburner doesn't work in MC - any tips for screenshots or videos?

    Daytime could be 20% longer, night time 20% shorter than current. Mobs on low - I didn't see too many tonight as long as everyone jumped in to bed as soon as it went dark. I've also made efforts to make my land a mob-free environment, please don't mess with it. (Looking at you, Harley). While building houses I think it's good to keep the mobs on low so we can just get on with it - takes long enough as is. Once that's all done maybe we can turn them up a fraction. I'd be interested in building a network of small underground emergency tunnels that link up most of the buildings too at some stage in the future. Can we also close up and put doors on all the mineshaft entrances and have signs out the front saying who they were created by?

    Think it was calster or Fab - they also turned my patch into a river I was going to build a new house in the snow but there's loads of monsters there so I'm thinking of building a treehouse in the forest

    Well since this thread is active again (I cbb finding this thread last week) Samsung ATIV 700T 128GB SSD with Windows 8 Pro Media Centre Laptop/tablet Purchased from Officeworks for $1299 + $56 for the Windows 8 Pro Pack upgrade Plus purchased Office 365 University for $99 (or $25 per year - that's cheaper than Xbox LIVE Gold), which comes with 60 minutes of free Skype every month, and an extra 20GB of SkyDrive (in addition to the free 7GB everyone has, and the extra free 20GB I have for being a long-term member - so total 47GB). If Office 2016 comes out I'll get it for free as part of the subscription. Windows 8 may not be great for desktops (although you can get the old Start Menu back for $5 from Stardock so it's not that bad) but it is very good on the tablet.

    meh good for them, I don't think I'll exactly miss them. Burnout Takedown and Paradise were pretty good fun at the time but I haven't been wowed by them since they started doing NFS stuff. Maybe NFS as a series will die as well - they don't have Criterion, they've lost Slightly Mad Studios, which leaves the Black Box developers (who made The Run - and as far as yearly cycles go are due for a new game this year - except we haven't heard anything about it yet except for some movie).

    How much memory does your PC have? Have you tried going to Java.com and installing the 64-bit version (assuming you are running Windows 64-bit)? I haven't been in the game in a couple of days so haven't seen your house. I need to go mining for better materials so I can build a better house. I'll have to rig up a trap-chest as well :)
