  1. I thought [modifier]+ Enter/Backspace raised/lowered the seat, not put it forward/back from memory.
  2. Personally I'd put a GTR as a supercar based on performance and exclusivity. Evo is pushing it it a bit but indeed very fast. Up to Dan to choose.
  3. I setup a free IFR flight plan test flight from Christchurch to Invercargil in New Zealand (was looking for a short flight with nice scenery, didn't end up with either) in the AirBus A321, hopeing to establish what I was good at and what I need to work on, or be taught. Endeavored to use the radios as well. Was hoping not to start on the runway and taxi there instead, not sure where the option for that is. Got ATC clearance and took off. First Q was when they said change radio frequency... no idea how to do that. All I did was keep using the ATC controls to check for nearest airports until I was close enough for IN to show up, then requested a full stop landing and got clearance. The route showed up on the GPS and OVR which was fine, wasn't able to tune the AP to it though. I also struggled to stick to my assigned altitude of 8000 ft even when modulating the throttle and using the trim controls, and engaging AP made the plane climb very quickly, up to 3x the height at one point. So before joining a VA I need to work out a foll-proof method of sticking bang-on my assigned altitude. NZIN ATC later told me go left of the airport and land on runway 4 (my heading was 201 so pretty much had to do a 180 degree turn). The route on the OVR and GPS vanished and left it all up to me, I didn't line up properly but still could've managed it, but the TOGA switch kept going on automatically, so it was impossible to land with full throttle engaged, and using my throttle slider did nothing. This happened 3 times (my approach wasn't perfect, but still) until I gave up and quit as I was tired. Given most RL pilots only fly the plane for about 4 minutes (take off and landing) I also have to work out the waypoint and auto-pilot systems better.
  4. Lots of Lambo's here
  5. I was flying that AirBus yesterday but couldn't improve the view to look at the dash and outside - I spent almost the entire flight looking down at my primary instruments as the seat was too close. Is there a default key to go back a bit?
  6. erm, cruising around a race track, as in not driving as fast as possible. It's Project CARS, a normal racing game.
  7. Who needs online multiplayer when the AI can be this aggressive/dynamic?
  8. Got around to getting another screenshot, just a little late though
  9. GMT +11 right now, soon to change back to +10. I know nothing about Euro flight rules but would expect nicer scenery around there compared to USA and UK. Just the UK VA looked quite good and they cater for newbies and offer one on one training, and only require you to take one flight job per month to stay a member. I might go fly tonight (roughly 10am UK time iirc) if anyone wants to do some multiplayer (if I can remember my Gamespy password). That said I might also fly a bit after lunch (roughly in 90 mins from now)

  11. I heard the iVAO and VATSIM terms thrown around the web yesterday a lot and looked at VATSIM. tbh I'd rather someone with more flight hours set this up (I'm happy with we all join an existing airline such as flyuk). A test flight revealed one small problem for me though - I did a simple flight, I followed the flight plan around one lake which took about 10 minutes, and then was supposed to fly around a second lake before landing at another runway, when I saw how massive the second lake was and saw another runway just off in the other direction I opted to go for the runway :) I'm also still learning VOR navigation and ATC protocol (hardest part is identifying what runway that is you can see (or finding a runway that you can't see). I'm guessing you have to pause and look at the map, or have a first officer on board to manage that (you can do that, right?). Good news is I turned down a couple of settings and no more lag. Graphics could still be a bit better though (I've installed REX 2)
  12. I have Black series 2TB HDDs which have never been a bottleneck as it's always the GPU that reduces frame-rate so I wouldn't suggest there's a massive improvement to be made although I've never tried it (this is going by my specs, not yours). Also remember FRAPS isn't the idea recording solution since it's not flexible with it's frame rates when recording. You'd be better off with MSI Afterburner.
  13. yeah well it would be a pretty rubish airline with only 2 staff (one who wouldn't be extremely active either). That said I'm sure patch will be in Maybe find an existing one we can join? I have to brush up on my skills and find a way to make the game not lag even though the gfx look rubbish (everything is on max)
  14. My latest purchase was a Gerni pressure washer for washing my car 90% good enough but 3x as quickly.
  15. Just say 'fell asleep on top of my phone, lol :fp:' Now you're honest and funny. The only bad outcome is if she thinks you thought she was so boring it made you fall asleep (which is why I watch British game-shows when I go to bed)
  16. :bump: since I've just installed this again Does anyone know if you can import DLC missions into the game? Has anyone built scenarios from the Air Crash Investigations TV show? btw does anyone want to setup an online session, or are they already involved in a VA that they'd like to invite others to? 17. I wouldn't think 64GB would be large enough for recording games and video editing (at least not for me). If you're dealing with smaller sizes then that negates the real need for SSD anyway. Don't forget you can't fill up a SSD otherwise it can't TRIM and everything slows down immensely.
  18. Starting with karts in career is optional, and the single-gear kart is not DLC, which so far is the most popular of the karts anyway. The others are specialist imo.
  19. I won't be there, possible next week but should be ok in April as long as you remind me.
  20. 2nd SMS draft for the car list WMD Forum I like this list a lot better than the last one
  21. As a secondary drive I'm not sure it'll do a lot for you. It didn't mention the random access speed in MBPS as far as I could see. And the SSD portion of the drive only appears to be 8GB. If you only need ~750GB and it's not much dearer than the normal black series WD HDD then go for it.
