1. Somewhere over the rainbow is this week's poll
2. I've done all the ADR's and about one or two for everything else, but I don't really check what I'm towing most of the time
3. Just got a torque arm insert fitted this evening after work to stiffen things up in the engine bay, working very well so far, only downside atm is I get vibrations through the brake pedal when stationary (it's like a massive V8 muscle car with huge exhaust is parked next to me), part of me likes it a bit but I'm told it'll settle down after a week. So anyway I'm driving down a 2 lane road where at the traffic lights there's a third lane on the left that lasts a few hundred metres. Basically anyone who goes in that lane is likely to try and beat a few cars off the lights. I was following a fast Commodore (four exhaust pipes and sounded like a V8), and there was a Subaru hatch on the other side. I was just gonna follow the car since I know how powerful they are, but I thought just for giggles I'll go in the left lane, switched to manual mode. Lights go green, and we were neck and neck for first gear (never floor it in first otherwise wheelspin results), then a very quick DSG shift up and I pull a car length in front of him. Reckon he would've been just a tad surprised as there is nothing sporty-looking about my little 1.4L Golf :cheeese: Not sure if the WRX (those newer hatch ones) was trying coz it was further back. No doubt if my lane didn't merge that quickly and if there was no speed limit he would've easily got back in front - but by the time we stopped accelerating I'd already hit 100 (slightly uphill). Anyway that made my day. :) Oh and my boss told me to take Monday off, Tuesday is a public holiday, and I don't work Wednesday :excited:
4. You just screamed (caps) Is everything (relatively) ok?
5. It's already on Android. I can sign into my account, but i can't connect to my console through wifi, only 3G. Doesn't have all those features when you're not on wifi though.
6. Cool, i got it quite early on but I'm still waiting for the Veyron and Koenigsegg.
7. The problem is they'll hide and we'll never find them ;) Unless i can get smart glass to work on my phone
8. Nice Roc - must've been going so fast to end up blurry like that I need to delete my pics so i can upload some more
9. That American track starting with I that I'm not a huge fan of - it's in FM4 and iRacing...
10. Emphasis on *slightly* - looks like a very random blob on your bonnet :p
11. You mean like our old TDU Hot Pursuit games? Hide and seek seems a bit hard with the map size, if anyone was to turn names and GPS off it should be the suspect. Could also do some nav race challenges with GPS and player names off to help us learn our way around.
12. Oh damn, forgot about that rule when I beat you
13. cool poster, got me curious though - and have worked out my car is 145BHP per litre (203/1.4)
14. Organising a race this Saturday with a choice of two cars to make things more interesing - hope you can join: WMD Forum I literally haven't played since ETS2 came out 2 weeks ago (been all FH this week) so I'll need to practice again.
15. Yep, showed some muppet in a Ferrari what a sub-$20,000 car with some mods can do. Was a great drive with the wheel + stick shift
16. Andy Tudor also compiled a bunch of shots from previous trailers to go with this music to appeal to the FM4/GT5 crowd: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnPlyEPDAZ0
17. Yep, must've been jealous of all the attention BMW was getting in the various fan-made trailers.
18. A lot of cars are good, but which ones stand out as fantastic and are worth recommending to others to share the experience? Thought of this idea the other day when I had one. Bought the older Lancer Evo and auto-tuned it to Group A (600) and was just cruising south of the arena on those undulating roads at sunset and the car felt epic (was getting worried the slower cars would get boring after driving some R1 cars). So yeah, just list a car, tuning level, and what roads you were on. One or two pics as well to set the mood. :)
19. Yeah was hard to get a perfect lap in since you have to cut it so close and precisely along all those concrete barriers. Despite seeing so many mistakes by Clarence's ghost I did spend a reasonable amount of time behind him, and on the laps where I did nail the first section it meant I was going faster for the last two corners and I would out-brake myself. If I was right on it I could probably break into the 43's. If we're going to rely on the in-game leaderboards we should probably make sure we pick tracks and cars where we can beat our previous times (i.e. don't use Group C cars in a race designed for Group S) that so our new times are logged for all to check and race against.
20. No 14 year old should be able to afford their own new Xbox anyway :) Crumbs what did we do when I was that age. Didn't even really have the Internet (dial-up). On the subject of purchasing and Xbox's though I bought a Play'n'charge adapter today
21. Go to map, highlight race, one of the buttons (Y?) is for Rivals (you have to have done the race against the AI first)
