  1. TDUC had a TDU2 subforum long before March 2010 when the game was first announced ;) http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=8787 More photos here. (Old concept images from ~2007 mainly)
  2. Eden have already said before that they developed TDU1 and left things 'as is', and that they plan to support the community much better the second time around.
  3. New Zealand would be good (it's made up of a north island and south island, in total larger than both islands in game, and has some pretty tricky rally stages (been watching the WRC highlights - even Sebastian Loeb stuffed up in a few spots near the end)) :) Majorca sounds good as well, don't know too much about it though. Uhh, the other continents... not sure about those... does Google search: "The largest Island in South America is the Falkland Islands. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falkland_Islands "The largest island on the Asian continent is Borneo." (might be a tad too big) :p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borneo No idea what the roads are like on those two though :)
  4. If you want 8 cars together, kick the passenger out of your car and tell him to waste his own petrol :p I don't really care either way, I'm guessing it would be 8 players/4 cars max if everyone had a passenger when cruising. Maybe certain multiple races that required a co-driver could have a max of 8 cars and 16 character
  5. I'll get it if it comes on PC Maybe if Skate 2 gets insanely cheap I'll get it on 360 for my younger brother
  6. Yeah, at the end of the day it's hard to choose a TV based on website info and reviews, you just have to go look at them (and hope the staff have the colour menu setup right). HDMI inputs often are louder than the TV broadcasts I find (I had it at 6 for the PS3 and 20 for TV), but maybe that's an Australian broadcasting thing.
  7. CPU is probably a little lacking, but you should be able to play the game at high settings. Core2Quad CPUs (i.e. the Q6600) was a popular choice and should be a bit cheaper now the i7 and i5 range is out now. If you have an OEM version of Windows, just be a lil' careful as changing too much hardware can deactivate Windows and you'll either have to ring them up and convince them to reactivate or buy another copy. The 5770 graphics card should be alright, but you will want to have a decent power supply. Generic cheap ones have been known to live a short life when powering up high-end hardware (just ask Pogostickio, he's gone through 2-3 of them in the last year or so). Get a brand name PSU (like Thermaltake, Zalman, Corsair, etc) with 600w or more and you should be ok.
  8. What do they have to do to support it if it already works with the trailer movie? I would've thought they just decode the video output irrespective of what software is running on the machine.
  9. Looks nice. Funny how Samsung and LG TV's nearly look identical :)
  10. I've applied for the Beta, so we'll see what happens. I did a quick YouTube search and I don't appear to be missing out on too much atm. If you have issues getting the NFS Beta working, please post at the NFS forums (more chance of you getting help there)
  11. It's just dawned on me that the last time I visited the WO website, the Beta signup form was Live but not working (Live testing or something). Are they still taking signups for Beta? I'd end up at the bottom of a long list I guess. I've got spare Google Wave invites if that helps? :cheeky:
  12. I would be happy with a new Golf R with all the options, but I'll settle for a TSI. BMW's are nice these days, and Audi's are good too, but their owners are still stereotyped :)
  13. I hope you've got Fraps installed, would like to see if it's any better than, uhh, NFS MW & Carbon mashed together ;) I saw a couple of vids from the closed Beta in Korea a few months ago
  14. Newest isn't always best when it comes to video drivers, I've had to downgrade a few times to learn that lesson ;) Try some older ones
  15. Try newer or older video card drivers
  16. What videocard do you have? Try disabling any forced settings in the nVidia/ATi control panel and reduce the in-game graphics settings (incl res) to their worst setting and quit the game. Restart the game, increase the settings to max and see if there's any improvement.
  17. Why is he putting glasses on when he's already wearing them (or is that part of the joke)? ^And I STILL don't get the coca-cola bottle joke :(

    HELLO

I don't venture out of the PC section there, so I guess he must be a console player :)
  19. Photos taken in game look pathetic (not always that bad) compared to when in game, especially when viewed in the Windows Vista/7 default photo viewer program (they look marginally better in XP or in Nero Photo Viewer). A few members here enhance their photos in Photoshop before posting them here, which is why they look better. Google compresses images if you store them on their servers (they did even when I uploaded them to Page Creator one), which is good for our 350KB filesize limit, but not great for quality (although admittedly not too bad). In your case, if you got a new monitor with a higher resolution, you should notice increased quality in your saved photos.

    HELLO

Welcome. North American forums I'm guessing, since I haven't seen you on the Europeans ones (although I'm on all of them anyway - even the Australian ones that died about a month after TDU was released) :)
  21. They should be two separate axis' (i.e. Axis X for steering and Axis Y (sometimes Z or a slider) for the pedals. Easiest thing to try first is to unplug the wheel, uninstall your drivers (profiler), restart Windows, download the latest software drivers, install them, plug in the wheel (only when the software tells you to) and try recallibrating it from there. Then go back into the game and setup your controls again.
  22. I don't know why I bother with these picture games sometimes... nice pic ;)
  23. Devs can put any car in any garage. Thefact that they only have a small number of cars that they can or are allowed to publish in photos would add to the reasoning for mixing exotics with other cars. There is also the possibility that clubs can buy non-exclusive cars, or they could be owned by club members who park in the club garage when they meet up in the house.
  24. I only have racing games and FIFA and Flight Sim X *checks game folder* and Ship Sim 2008 and Solitaire and.. I can get a screenshot from a draft movie that Leadfoot did ages ago but never finished/released (guess doing movies based on 'Special Forces Civilian Protection Division' wasn't/isn't such a bad thing) ;) I actually have Crysis, but only for the Sandbox editor for movies, I don't plan on playing the actual game.
