  1. At a glance, it sounds like you need an interest. Not a hobby, not a new game to play, but a genuine interest, something you're devoted to and want to do the rest of your life. Have you considered what you want to do out of university (or the equivalent "higher education" where you are)? It's never too early to start planning that, and I find that once you have something in your head, it becomes much easier to focus on what you need to in school - not because the teachers want you to focus on it, but because you want to focus on it. So throw some stuff out there, try new things, stuff you haven't thought about before. I'm not sure how your school works, but if you can choose to take classes with teachers that really care, take them, even if the class topics seem uninteresting to you. In my school, for example, one of the best teachers in the school leads a technical philosophy and space course. It's an elective class (not required) and seems like it would be unnecessarily difficult, but it's actually very fun, and kids who had terrible grades took it, found their passion in space, and turned their grades around. One recent graduate just Skyped with the current class from Switzerland, where he's working as a scientist at CERN. And according to our teacher, he wasn't a great student until he realized what he wanted to do and happily did whatever it took to do it. My point is, find something you like and "work" won't seem like work. :) -Leadfoot
  2. Ah, the world of stance. :cheeky: Have you considered spacers, or do your other wheels (what were they, Rotas?) have a wide enough offset to sit flush with the fender? -Leadfoot
  3. In keeping with the "parents let their kids drive sports cars to school" trend my school his been following lately, here's the C5 Corvette a classmate drove the other day. 911s, Boxters, and Jags are out, too (though not driven by students). :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  4. Was bored, so here are a few. A test shot of new white balance settings that turned out interesting: A Corvette one of my classmates drove to school the other day: Some new toys: -Leadfoot
  5. Interesting principle, though the graphics look like CryEngine3 with worse textures (and the island almost identical to that of the first Crysis). Vehicles interesting as always. :hmmm: Agreed. Can we stop having games designed for eight year old consoles? -Leadfoot
  6. Local radio station played the hell out of this song two summers ago, so now it's become a staple of that season. :) -Leadfoot
  7. Oh, is this thread back? :cheeky: Almost got a ride in a Series 1 Jag E-Type Roadster last fall, but for some reason it was snowing. I've got a rain check on that, though. Plus, he owns two, so... :D That's sort of the most recent thing. Hope for more this summer (and maybe witness a car doing more than 110 mph, which seems to be the max that the rare cars I've ridden in so far have done :p). -Leadfoot
  8. I'm not sure - the thing in the back of this one looks a lot like a sidewalk. Maybe there are laws about taking pictures of people's cars. :hmmm: -Leadfoot
  9. Yeah, yeah... Car shows begin in May, including hillclimbs, and Cars and Coffee events start in April. ;) In the meantime, there are lots of motorcycles, Corvettes, and American muscle cars peeking their noses out. -Leadfoot
  10. TDU1 realism: Flappy paddle cars are flappy paddles, manuals are manuals; entire island of Hawaii; detailed interiors; legible (and useful) road signs, etc. TDU2 realism: Stupid drivers. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  11. Interesting. I like the crane shots especially (like the early one with the CTS-V). But what did you use for that shot and the long-distance ones? Does TDU2 now have a camera editor that can place cameras outside of the car? At any rate, nice work. :) -Leadfoot
  12. Porsche themselves never made any street legal versions, but the racers were based off a 911 Turbo. Given that, it's pretty easy to guess that some people made replicas (in fact, many have). :) -Leadfoot
  13. Enough dubstep. EDIT: Hadn't heard that one in a while. More people should stop to pay attention to what it's actually saying. ;) I like it. -Leadfoot
  14. Went to the U.S. Open for Snowboarding today, and saw a bunch of things I wasn't allowed to take pictures of. :cheeky: Some of those things included dozens of Minis, a modified Defender, lots of modified Subarus, a nice modified Tacoma, and a purple/white Deberti F-650. Those things are crazy, and pointless. No pictures, though, because I didn't/don't have a press pass. :( -Leadfoot
  15. All the class and prestige we've come to expect from real Bugatti special editions. :cheeky: Looks kinda cool, though. :hmmm: -Leadfoot
  16. Nice Nader reference. ;) Also, FM4 has an E31? -Leadfoot
  17. That's a fantastic list of cars. If the game itself were any good, I would definitely buy this and start playing again. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  18. Entering with what? A GT-R would be awesome, but that's not really what V8 Supercars is about anymore. Hopefully it's the Maxima (looks better than the Altima IMO :p ). -Leadfoot
  19. As someone who is a tad more resourceful when clicking links ( :cheeky: ), I recommend this one. Maybe it's the similarity to the G25 or Ferrari paddles, but simplicity seems best, especially since you already have stainless steel parts already (and carbon is just tacky). :) Oh, not much... On long drives I usually experiment a little, and it's great for slow traffic when your foot gets tired of sitting on the brake pedal. :) -Leadfoot
  20. I just realized that, technically, I drive this. Sometimes. :p It's really my dad's car, though. -Leadfoot
  21. Nice job on the Beast (E39 M5) up there. Does damage work naturally with mods, or do the "crumple zones" (for lack of a better term) have to be built into the model? :hmmm: -Leadfoot
  22. Thanks. :) Hehe. :) He asked in the beginning whether he should mention that he's my dad, and I told him certain people would figure it out immediately. ;) -Leadfoot
  23. New one! I was trying a new editing program, it was shot on a boring winter day, and it was the first shoot using the jib ( ), so it's not what I was hoping for. I'd say the WRX STI one is still my favorite. Still, the topic of this is interesting, so here you go: There are more coming up in spring, with some REALLY special cars (old Bimmers, an Amazon, some others ;) ), so stay tuned. :) -Leadfoot
