  1. ^Take note, Ryzza. :) That's really slick. It would even look fine with the stock rear bumper and exhaust setup. -Leadfoot
  2. Awesome angles, Icy - a pleasant change from your normal (although still cool) shots. :) This one is just.... -Leadfoot
  3. Here you go, Ryzza! Just pick up a Golf R front clip for a grand or so, headlights for the same amount, some Porsche wheels for a couple thousand dollars, coilovers for a couple thousand more, but GOOD NEWS! You can get a removable - yet hardy - color change on the cheap with little effort: (That's actually kind of cool!) Anyway, TADAA! Cool program. :) -Leadfoot
  4. Very cool! The collage posting effect is nice, too. -Leadfoot
  5. Beautiful. Judging by the vehicles, perhaps they mean the boating variant. :cheeky: ---------------------------- Ferrari Challenge stuff: More, and the high-res versions, are available here. -Leadfoot
  6. MOAR from Ferrari Challenge, to accompany : High-res available here. :) -Leadfoot
  7. Thanks. :) Everything's been getting more streamlined (all the processes, communication, that sort of thing), and I'm going to keep trying to develop a definitive style. The key, IMO, is to find more evocative locations for the Real Drivers stuff and film them differently. Maybe outside the car or something. As for the car shows/races, well, I'll just keep trying new techniques with them. :) -------------------- I'm fairly happy with this one: -Leadfoot
  8. ^Wow. Some nice stuff, there! Would love to know the background on that 458. FIA GT car? Converted street car? Challenge car? Nice, though. -Leadfoot
  9. What? :D Not a fan of, um, whatever you'd call that? But you're right, it is highly addictive. Also, they paid me to make it, so that makes not responsible for how bad the song is. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  10. Video up! It so happens that one of the two 599 GTOs there was from Vermont, which is incredible; to give you some background info on why that's so impressive, VT has just 626000 inhabitants - less than a tenth the size of NYC. Also, the family of a girl at my school just bought an R8 5.2 FSI Quattro. If I am measuring correctly, they now have $300,000 worth of Audi in their garage. -Leadfoot
  11. Well, that just about settles that. Now I just need the G25 and a good duster. :D -Leadfoot
  12. WOOOOO! :odance: Nice work. :) But how do you track the viewers on those (unless people click on the credit link)? -Leadfoot
  13. Bimmers, lots of Bimmers! Highlights include a Z1, a 3.0CSL (lightweight - the ultra-expensive one :cheeky: ), 7 Baurs, and lots of E24s. Pics will come later. :) -Leadfoot
  14. ^Cool stuff. :) ------------------ BMW Vintage show last weekend! :odance: Notable vehicles: 1x - 3.0 CSL (real one) 6x - Baur E21 1x - Baur E30 1x - 1600GT coupe 5x - E9 (not including CSL) 4x - E30 1x - Z1 (never sold Stateside, so there are even less of them here than there are CSLs) In the parking lot (not eligible): BMW 1M BMW M3 (E92) Porsche 911 Turbo (993) Ferrari 360 Modena BMW 850i Shelby Cobra replicas (6x) Many M3s And here's the vid: :D -Leadfoot
  15. Very nice pictures, especially with the low lighting. -Leadfoot
  16. Amazing shots, guys! :) And Ryzza, the back of that Yellowbird is surprisingly detailed for a non-premium car. :hmmm: -Leadfoot
  17. ^That... You're ability to organize photoshoots is impressive. :p ------------------------ Was at a film gig yesterday and saw this in the parking lot, among other things. Some of those others were a low, cream-with-cream-wheels BMW 2002 (local and loud - I want to do a film of it when I finally meet the owner) and a 1970s Ford F150. I'll post pics of those later. :p Very tired now. Plus, this one has the best lighting. Right off camera, other than the watermark. And that's only where it is because I got bored and wanted to go to bed. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  18. The first wheels would probably be nice - subtle yet different. However, watch out for a) the changes of wheel rotation (acceleration's going to be different with larger wheels, as they have the effect of gearing it up) and b) the change in ride height. The effect won't be as severe with the Golf, but you'll definitely get a huge wheel gap and huge ground clearance gap with those. Narrower tires would help that, as would lowering springs, but eventually you're paying a lot for a relatively small change. In short, you probably won't want to go higher than 17s. But those Jetta wheels would be a really good look. :) Of course, it looks like that person's running lowering springs, so... :hmmm: -Leadfoot
  19. I was filming a buddy of mine's E30 (doing a before/after restoration video - this was the "before"), and a TR6 and black Ferrari 308 drove by. He knows the 308 owner. :) I also drove by a Testarossa earlier. So wonderfully dysfunctional. -Leadfoot
  20. Thanks! I, too, like VTEC (the '02 EX I drive has it, and combined with the intake, it's very pleasant), and was surprised it didn't have it. It does pick up quick, though, so I suppose you have the torque to thank for that. Also, I think the other Ian Wright was once interviewed by Top Gear. :p Thanks. VTEC's a personal preference; I happen to be a fan, but after being in this car, I can completely understand why you wouldn't want to rev to 7000 to get to the power. Speaking of power, the plaque at the car show (where I met him the day before) said 133hp and around that for torque, but I'm not sure the exact figures and whether it was WHP or not. I do know that the GSR motor he was running before made 176hp (I forget torque :( ) at the wheels, and would spin tires through second with a chirp on third. :D I'll do your car if you pay airfare. :cheeky: I agree, especially with this generation. My family actually almost bought that car (we own a 2003 Legacy sedan and a 2007 wagon, both handsome cars) - I even test drove it. It's so beautifully made, and so fast (70 in second with some space to go). It sounds amazing, much better than the STi, and with the catless exhaust and the soft backfire sounds, it was such an awesome experience. My parents decided it was too loud, though, and didn't like the window tint. I still want it, and it's still for sale, but it's out of my budget for a personal car. -Leadfoot
  21. *Puts on flame suit* It's horse show season in my town, so there are tons of cars that demonstrate the incongruencies of money and taste. There's one blindingly white Wranglers, for instance, with 30-inch wheels (lolwut?), a million King Ranch F350s and those Texas-style dually pickups with plastic side skirts. The horse people use them to tow trailers. There are also Bentleys and Porsches, too, and all the actual local people have their Corvettes, 911s, and MGs out. Another side effect of horse show season is you get all the horse show girls who come with their ponies to spent one day a week riding and six wandering around town. Sorry to bother you about this if you've already seen it. You don't get too many cars like this in Vermont, so I guess it counts as a spotted. ----------------------------- Did you recolor each vehicle separately? Something not quite... natural about that shot. -Leadfoot
  22. Very nice, but noticeable rake. What are you running suspension-wise? Oh, and I've just been watching some of your sound videos again, though, and it does sound pretty good. -Leadfoot
  23. I know yours is an EK, but you might find this interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgD5erhL7Yk ;) -Leadfoot
