  1. Ah, thanks. Had wondered about that. Heh. Hehehe. -Leadfoot
  2. Is the T-Duck and automatic update machine? Or a shared mod account? They are cool screens, though, if aging. -Leadfoot
  3. Wow! You are a VERY talented photographer! -Leadfoot
  4. Thanks you for re-doing the Eden cars in high-quality. :) I don't think they even had those light clusters on the lower grille. -Leadfoot
  5. I assume you mean NFSW (HA! You did a double take, didn't you?), not Criterion's Hot Pursuit (which, actually, should be HP3 but isn't because EA doesn't believe in post-NFSU games), right? Also, FM4 wasn't announced, really, but people assumed it was there because the Turn10 Kinect demo was an interactive trailer for an "above FM3" game. -Leadfoot
  6. Tool did a new one, with the NFS:Shift interior. It's available at his site, but I can't post a link here. You can google "tool831 pro mod site" (without quotation marks) and find some the site. :) -Leadfoot
  7. Actually, that could be testing of either one - the Golf R or the Megane RS (or maybe a new R26). EDIT: Actually, it's probably the Golf R, because, as far as I know, there's no four-door Golf R. -Leadfoot
  8. Are clouds dependent on weather or time of day? If it was the ToD, then you could theoretically make the "night only" clouds into stars and the daytime clouds into, um, clouds. Alternatively, do any clouds cover others (or spend a large amount of time in front)? If so, the clouds BEHIND them could be stars, so it would look like a partly-cloudy night at night, and the stars would be hard to notice in the brighter day behind clouds. -Leadfoot
  9. Maybe so, but there's a very fine line (ha, pun-ny) between being careful and being stupid. -Leadfoot
  10. I suspect he'll have quite a few to send soon. ;) -Leadfoot
  11. Even though Top Gear features much rucus and such, all the "stories" need plots. That's why the... ...races work (plot is pretty clear, so I won't go in depth with it) ...road trips work (we're always reminded of the destination and the goal of the trip, with amusing events and complications along the way) ...Jeremy's "Realistic Road Tests" work (the basis for the questions, whether the car is good in "simple" ways, has been established, and we can understand how it works). ...cheap car challenges work (we want to know if the cars will last, and the narrative follows that). With the above-mentioned Reliant and James vs. the Volcano stories, the plot could've been conveyed better, leading to a more coherent and, therefore, amusing video. -Leadfoot
  12. Good reason - I'd do the same thing. :) -Leadfoot
  13. Someday... Please post pics, guys! (Though I probably don't need to say that, do I?) -Leadfoot
  14. Maybe in the UK, but here, they're mostly cheaper than a game on DVD with shipping. Plus, they tend to put popular games on sale more often than stores. -Leadfoot
  15. WOOOOOO! Steam FTW! On the USofA as well. :) Just not for pre-order... yet. -Leadfoot
  16. You didn't post in the wrong section, it's just that the users of TDU:C abused the privilege of commenting on WIP mods, and we can't post there. It's the right section for showing progress, just not for getting feedback. Not your fault at all. :) As far as I know about the WAV, it doesn't have to be a certain type (admittedly, I'm not too familiar with audio formats, but I've never had to do anything funky with types of encoding formats). Hopefully someone with more experience can help you. :( Perhaps Djey or an experienced sound modder (such as fifomaniak). -Leadfoot

  17. Ooh, nice! Did you know you can pick up a perfect example of a Boxter from that era in real life for about $14,000? Pretty cool. :) EDIT: What happened to the Evora? Or was I seeing things? -Leadfoot
  18. World Cup ref'ing humor, I presume? :) -Leadfoot
  19. LOL Ryzza! Some helpful graphs I found... Image too big, but it relates to 2012... Been experiencing Fallout 3, so this one fits, too: -Leadfoot
  20. All I will say now is this: Long live the Ceeapostrophedee! :excited: -Leadfoot
  21. SiwusVR6 gets my vote - love the colors, the cars, and the location. :) Turbo Lag's was my second choice, but I think it's too dark for the banner. Very nice shot, though. -Leadfoot
  22. Happy birthday! Don'tcha love TDU:C time zone differences? Hope you enjoyed it nonetheless! :) -Leadfoot
  23. Hey. You said you wanted help with your sound modding. It seems like a smart move posting it in the WIP section, but, unfortunately, the common TDU:C user cannot post a reply there. :( I'd recommend posting your request in the general "Mod Shop" area. As for a possible answer to your question, I think you can just shorten the sound file. No need to use complex workarounds - just a shorter file. Course, this could lead to some problems, namely the end of the shortened file not aligning to the beginning, causing a "snap" to the beginning. But this is normally not a problem, especially with the car accelerating and changing revs. Hope that helps! -Leadfoot
