  1. I agree with Ryzza. We once made a movie using five different computers, four monitors, and two completely different editing programs, and it was pretty clear that they were not the same (in fact, it was an extremely annoying difference at times). The cameraman and the editor don't have to be the same person, but over the course of a film (in our case, the review of a particular car for example), the cameraman should stay the same. It could vary from film to film (IE, the cameraman for lap times could be different from the cameraman for road trips), but it should stay the same the rest of the time. Segments that we have all the time should also have the same cameraman (usually with the highest-quality equipment). Of course, having a lot of people on call is a nice thing as well. If we need six people to "pose" in competing cars (they way TGUK does), it's great to be able to call on club members who are online at that time. :) -Leadfoot
  2. w00t! Thanks. :) -Leadfoot
  3. How much of the G25 works? Because I hope I don't get a stuck gas/brake pedal. -Leadfoot
  4. 5th place? Very cool! :) We have just about every kind of TDU fan here, so there are a bunch of racers (as well as people who just cruise). Do you usually do hardcore or regular modes for cruising/racing? Welcome to the TDUCk! :welcome: -Leadfoot
  5. Voted Paradox. It's... beautiful. -Leadfoot
  6. Not sure they would integrate that. Isn't that typically handled by TH2G, sofTH, Eyefinity, or whatever external program is in effect? That's how it worked for all my dual- and triple-monitor gaming, and I have yet to come across a game that natively supports my two monitors. -Leadfoot
  7. Thanks Djey! Congrats on the invite (and thanks for your... other help with the game)! Can't believe you guys saw a Scud. Even when your Walrusses desert you ( :oook: ), Google is your friend. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  8. Or just don't allow them in the South, California, or the Redneck Band. Limit them to the Northeast. :) And Colorado, I guess. They're cool. And maybe AZ/NM/Utah. And Nevada. But other than that, no supercars. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  9. Not sure if your hopes are up or down at this point, but James Bond's DBS is stock. Except for the defibrillator in the glovebox, of course. :cheeky: -Leadfoot
  10. Sue the Ford driver for the resale loss. -Leadfoot
  11. LOL! After you wait two years for a patch that doesn't fix anything, and three for a long-deserved megapack, you pretty much loose faith in that happening. -Leadfoot
  12. Very nice. I'll have to see if I can snap up a 22b. :) -Leadfoot
  13. I think you're making the wrong connection. I also snapped up the megapack on the early release (living in North America isn't always that bad), and was playing online as well. Kalniel even banned me for a few days from the Euro forums for asking for install help when it wasn't out there yet. :cheeky: But the megapack being allowed online is a different matter. I think Atari sets the servers to comply with TDU's rules or something similar (I'm not too knowledgeable on the specifics), but Gamespy definitely hosts them. So if the server is responding to connection attempts or not is likely a Gamespy issue. Like I said, give it a few days and it'll probably be back up. With the whole TDU2 release, it may take a little bit longer, but they'll probably be up. -Leadfoot
  14. Anyone here played the version of that called and featuring the Ferrari 355 Challenge? It had a life-sized steering wheel, reverse-mounted pedals, and a heavy long-throw shifter - it was the best arcade game I've ever played. Realistic, too. The clutch was tricky, and the car would leap around and understeer if the tires weren't properly warmed. Triple screens, of course. I think it even had interior view. They've since disappeared (they were from when the 355 was new), but they were one of the most realistic games I've ever played. I saw one two years ago during a camp pizza party, and it was still functioning. It's probably gone by now, but man was it fun. Good ol' days, indeed. :) -Leadfoot
  15. Welcome to the forum, both of you! :welcome: SykL, the online feature is like the offline mode, except you can enter, join, and create clubs, enter diners, and the AI racers ("John" and "Dylan" and whatever) are replaced by real people in your area, like Arc said. Actually, the servers go down now and again for a few days, but they're usually back up within three days at the most. Also, the servers are hosted by Gamespy - Atari has nothing to do with it. Give it time, they'll be back. :) -Leadfoot
  16. I'd forgotten about that one. I hate about four of those in TDU1, and all had over 500 miles (a lot for me, considering I'd change cars a lot and spent most of my time in prop cars filming). So, RT12 or DBS. Maybe the 599 GTO in there, too. -Leadfoot
  17. Nice pics. :) I particularly like this one. -Leadfoot
  18. The first, last, and only time I was ever in Manhatten, I saw a California (was brand new then), a Mulsanne (again, brand new), and a Maybach, among others. Cities can certainly be interesting. -Leadfoot
  19. Yeah, I just checked that too. -Leadfoot
  20. :omg: *Jalopnik did a small article on the position as soon as it was announced. Maranello, you lucky little... :cheeky: Huge congrats, that's awesome! -Leadfoot
  21. I've been noticing that in some threads (like "What You Saw Recently!" and "Screenshot Thread") that there is an extra page at the end, as if I'm on the second-to-last page. If I click on it, it only reloads the current page, and the button is still there. Is anyone else experiencing this? Sorry if this is a regional bug or something of that nature, I just wanted to point it out. :) -Leadfoot
  22. What's his new job? Did he win that internship that Jalopnik was talking about? The won working with Bugatti as their intern PR person? -Leadfoot
  23. That was a comment about the massive spam of repeat messages, lol. -Leadfoot
  24. Love this one. It's a shame the lip on those wheels isn't orange. :( -Leadfoot
