  1. Well, somehow I managed to win an auction on eBay on Tuesday evening for a set of new wheels which are in much better condition than the ones I have now and for a bargain price as well, especially as they come with a set of tyres which all have 5mm of tread left on them. Strangely no-one else bid on them with a minute to go at with the price of £100. So I put one bid in with 20 seconds left and tomorrow I'll be driving across to Leighton Buzzard to collect them. Just to give you an idea of what I've had to put up with looking at on my car so far. I took these photos today... http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000811.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000812.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000813.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000814.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000815.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000816.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000817.jpg God knows what the previous owner did to them but they are some of the worst condition alloys I've seen. They're clean as well, no dirt on them whatsoever. I'll hopefully update the thread when I've got the new wheels on the car, if I find the time to put them on the car before college next week.
  2. I didn't watch the debate. If I'm honest I really couldn't care less who wins, as far as I see as soon as one party wins they'll do a few things they said they would do during the debate and then all hell will break loose once more, as was the case last time. Also, if I hear one word about the Scrappage Scheme (or something similar) being brought back from either party I will actually rage to the point of insanity. What a flawed waste of time that was. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. I got a card through the post saying where to go to vote. They can forget it, I'm not wasting my time.
  3. I tried mountain biking with Mistermojo last year but then discovered how much my body hates hills, especially the hills around here. If everywhere was flat I would probably enjoy mountain biking quite alot. I used to go out on my bike every evening but then I got a computer and that routine went down the drain. I wont make excuses for myself, I'm not the fittest person to walk the face of the Earth and exercise is probably one of the last things I want to do. But, I'm no where near to being overweight or fat. My CBA-Syndrome kicks in way to fast most of the time.
  4. I was thinking about getting it. I still had some money left over after buying the new doors for my car but then a couple of days later I won an auction for some new wheels which cost me a further £100 so I probably wont have any money left for Episodes From Liberty City. Quite annoyed because I was finally looking forward to actually using my PS3 properly for once.
  5. The difference with trees is that age ratings of games aren't increased if someone somehow manages to run one down. In most cases I think a tree would win against most types of car. Also running over a tree would not be seen as murder, well it might be in some cultures but in general it isn't. They also don't spout out blood when a part of them is ripped off. Blood is the difference between age age rating of a 3+ and a 18+ or whatever rating they use these days.
  6. I voted Yes. But I wouldn't mind if it was an option either.
  7. As long as they don't update the fuel prices according to what they are in real life at the time... Hurrr durrr. None of us would ever be able to afford to have a Ferrari in the garage.
  8. Leave running over pedestrians and pedestrians in general to the GTA series (and it's rivals), as mentioned by Diablo. This game should be concentrated on the driving/racing and social aspect of online gaming, not making younger people violent and aggressive.
  9. You're not alone. I still play it and I don't use mods or anything. I just like to go for a drive and listen to some music. I don't do the races or anything. Driving around keeps me occupied enough.
  10. I was hoping to find some flowers in my garden but the whole place is completely dead from Winter, still. Boring pictures from a boring day: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000796.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000799.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000798.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000797.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000800.jpg
  11. I also couldn't care less. My PC doesn't have DirectX 11 or Physx capabilities. Obviously I guess it'd be a nice addition for the people who's computers do have the right capabilities. I won't be upgrading my PC to run the game any better. Unless, ofcourse, the game turns out to be even more extremely hot-awesome-sauce than it seems now. Which, as much as I'd like it to be, I doubt it will be.
  12. It'll definitely be standard 306 D Turbo Cyclone alloy wheels like I have now if I buy a new set. Currently the cheapest option is refurbishing them, either myself or by sending the wheels away for a week. Personally I don't trust myself to do a decent job of refurbishing them and I don't want to ruin some wheels which are worth atleast a few hundred pounds when in good condition so I'll have to start working out some prices.
  13. If the game features vinyls and liveries I'll never use them anyway. I think they look crap on anything besides race cars.
  14. Thanks. The easiest part is over now. I've got the hardest part left to do - Switching the locks and hoping the electric windows work in both doors. If not then it's going to be a pain in the arse taking the doors apart and swapping the motors, arms and everything else over from the doors currently fitted on the car. I'll also have to buy more door card clips off eBay because they always seem to break when taking the door cards off. Atleast I don't have to worry about taking the bump strips off the side of the doors currently on the car and applying new clips to those because the ones on the new doors look like they're held on pretty well and are flush with the doors. Do this then new wheels or refurbishing my current ones myself. I don't know how the last owner managed to curb/scratch/peel the paint on them so much but it's bugging the hell out of me. Should be ready to roll for Summer then, just in time for when I finish college and hopefully pass my practical driving test. Had my first lesson since last September this weekend and was told I only need a couple of lessons to be at test standard, but then a few more lessons/weeks after that because of the waiting list to take the test.
  15. Driver 2 and I think the original Driver had decent pedestrians. Not in the way of graphics obviously, but in the sense that if you attempted to run them over they managed to run out of the way most, if not all the time. You wouldn't want things getting GTA-like on a game like this which is played by a wide range of age groups. And from my perspective if you're never going to be allowed to run them over by either just making them unhitable or making them dive out the way all the time they're a pretty pointless addition. Or maybe I'm just too violent. I spent hours trying to run pedestrians over on Driver.
  16. Nice. I was going to comment on the plastic wheel trims but now I don't have to because they've been replaced by a good set of wheels. Glad to see they're proper Renault alloys, too, not Halfruads wheels ;)
  17. Car update, y0! Holy thread revival, Batman! Well, when I first got the car I wasn't 100% happy with the way it looked. I'm still not but I'm gradually getting all the parts I need to bring it back to tip top condition. I want it to be as original as it was when it left the factory. After having the car a few weeks I noticed the passenger side door looked out of line with the rest of the car compared to the drivers door. I then looked on the inside of the door to find a crease in it which was infact bending the top half of the door outwards, this was due to an attempted break-in before I bought it. It didn't cause any problems, no water ingress or anything, just slightly more difficult than it should be to close. I also noticed that the pillars on both doors were the same colour as the car as opposed to black which everyone elses 306 seems to have unless they have a darker colour car. The drivers door also had rust along the bottom of it. So I decided if I could find some new doors cheap enough I'd get them and replace the current doors. I found some on some Peugeot 306 forums last week in the right colour and decent condition besides the passenger door which had seen the nasty side of a bus. The car they were on was being broken down for spares anyway. Only problem was that the doors were in St. Austell in Cornwall. Guess where I was yesterday. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/08042010116.jpg Doesn't look that bad in the picture and neither did it look like it had been hit by a bus in person. I've been working on them today to prep them for being on the car. Gave them both a quick wash then attacked the dent the Pikey way by using a hammer and some T-Cut. End result: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000783.jpg There's still a small dent in it, but it just looks like a super-market trolley dent. Also applied some Tar Remover: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000785.jpg ..Then some wax and this was the end result: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000787.jpg Also applied some 'Back to Black'. I took some pictures but it didn't make too much difference. Notice how the pink floor mats now know their place. Just missing a D Turbo badge on the passenger door, now. Not bad for £40 and three quarters of a tanks of diesel, cheers Fabia VRS :p Also went over to Plymouth after, good day out. Probably the only reason my dad was willing to go, because it was sunny and he got to see some boats. Hurrr durrr. Other little updates since I last posted pictures of it... Chavvy Momo gear knob and tatty gaitor out, OEM one's in: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000790.jpg Obviously, pink floor mats out, boring black work-horse mats in: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000791.jpg Door handle surrounds (Originals were missing): http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000792.jpg Fuse box cover (Doesn't fit properly, being French interior trim it's predictable. Can't complain for 99p off eBay, though.): http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/P1000794.jpg /End boring pointless post that nobody will read properly or at all.
  18. The Forza 3 image spamming in this competition is still loltastic.
  19. Might as well embarass myself by posting my shockingly bad attempt at a Golf MKII GTi. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/1.jpg I'm not even joking it somehow looks better in real life than it does on my camera/PC. :sulk:
  20. Schweeeeet! Nice. Ours hasn't moved out of the garage for two weeks. Electrical issues and such, lul.
  21. "A community driven DLC-programme lasting as long as long as the fans demand it." I like this. Thanks for the scans.
  22. http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x104/GTAMADDOG/Image00037-2.jpg Grass and kind of simple. Added bullets, y0.
  23. A rally legend could imply something that Colin McRae drove (Impreza/Focus), but he isn't the only ever rally legend to have existed. Hell, if you consider Sabastien Loeb then there's another (Citroen Xsara/C4). If it isn't refering to a particular person and what they drove then it could mean a whole range of cars in my opinion. Even a Mini Cooper S. If a certain decade was given then it would be slightly easier. 037 RS200 6R4 Escort... All probably wrong but now my head is going to go through the possibilities until I know the answer.
