1. It's SEMA time, so there's plenty of manufacture cars that are 100% not likely to reach production no matter how great they'd be... First up, the MX5 twins... The Speedster... And along came Spyder... Not much to say about them other than they look fantastic! No added power but less weight (Speedster weining in at 943kg's) and of course lowered and a few other fiddly bit's tweeked. Loving the grill mounted fog's on the Spyder. Sadly though, there's not much chance of Mazda making these, as the official word is... Shame. :( Sources: Pistonheads , Jalopnik
2. For me it's the Datsun and Plymouth that do it. :) But yes, the name is WAY off the mark. But guess that happens when the pack is named after sponsors.
3. This has history by the bucket load this pack! :D 1988 McLaren-Honda MP4/4 The Senna/Prost legend. 1980 Lancia Beta Montycarly Turbo The crazy Group 5 silhouette racer, yes THAT ONE. 2014 Maserati Granturismo MC Trofeo The amazing one make challenge series joins us. 1977 Holden Torana A9X Homologation special V8 Monster. 1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster. Japans first rival to the classic British sports car.(Yes, it's not an MX5) Mazda lola B12/80 Mazda's Prototype racer with diesel power. 2000 Plymouth Prowler The mad retro styled hot rod wannabe legend. Here's hoping to enjoy. :)
4. What has to be one of the greatest song's ever, in the world, was released 40 years ago today. A legend of a song written by Freddy Mercury himself (Both the words and music), it's became part of pop culture for the best of reasons and managed to become number 1 twice in span of just under 20 years, which is a feat in it's self. It's got a special place for me as well, growing up listening to older music as a child, it really stood out for it's "Rock opera" style. Oh, and of course there's THAT scene... Thank's to Wayne's World, it's law than you have to sing and headband to the song while in the car.
5. Bad news guys... Someone else may have to take up last place for the 3rd race, I may be away drag racing tomorrow if the weather is good.
6. We have a trailer giving us some insite into the story of the game... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bTVAehKZ0Y Because you know, we play this game for the story right?
7. Now there's a name I remember from way, way back from Atari TDU forum! :D Hope thing's have been well the past few years!
8. So with everyone having gone BTTF crazy yesterday due to it being the Future (Now past), I though I'd ask this... While watching the films yesterday with friends, we got to thinking..."What car would today's time traveling car be". We had a few ideas and tried to keep it to a fairly modern car, the film is based in 1985, but the last DMC's came out in 83. (So say something from the past 5 years) The 3 that we came up with was: BMW i8 (Futuristic looks, meh performance compared to rivals...like the DMC), Lotus Exige S3 (Because of the whole Lotus-DeLorean tie up) and kinda cheating but...the 2015 DMC EV. ;) So in your eye's, what car would the Doc use today insted of of the DMC Delorean? :)
9. As a massive BTTF fanatic, it's been a good excuse to kick back with a few beer's and friends and watch em again.(Well the first 2 anyway). Sadly never made it to the cinema to see it. :( But Least I saw the 1st film when they rescreened it in 2010! My problem is though, watching BTTF after watching 'Rick & Morty'...you can't help but cross them both together.
10. I Know one thing for sure, the Lexus is pants....be it "Forza Fysics", lack of effort on Tuning it or I'm just not what I used to be at racing games. But hey,
11. The photo's don't do it justice, I've seen it once or twice at the shows/meet's but it's always been on the move. Funny in that it turn's up just across the road from the flat. It's no show pony, she does what she was made to do!
12. A little bit of Japan in Aberdeen. :)
13. Can't say anything about it was unexpected, but is bound to be 100% cracking and again they hit it home in the styling! Oh and of course... Okay, it'll likely be most people spec the paddles (here in the Uk it seems to be anyway for the M3/4) but they are still flying the flag unlike most manufactures! :) Times like this almost make me forgive BMW for what they did to Rover... Almost.
14. The F12 has been a car I never liked when I saw the pictures, too aggressive and such. Then I got up close & personal with one this year and it really grew on me, looks alot nicer in the metal (carbon?) The TdF on the other hand? Actually looks great, really sorts out the bit's i never liked with the normal car. :D
15. Love that RC-F video! :D - Can i get a hellcat crate motor to plonk into the Lexbus?
16. Anyways, here's the lineup in picture's... Santtu's AMG GT Camel's X-Bow Clarence's Cali T Calster's RC-F hassan's M6 Prophecy's MX5 Cup
17. Hungover to hell and only 30 minuet worth of testing the car on 1 single track. I think I did fine, other than lighting the rear tyres up alot and running out of fuel...
18. 2015 drivers champion: Gordon Shedden 2015 Manufactures champion: Honda Yuasa Racing. And with that, sadly the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car championship is over. Bring on 2016!
19. The Snotmobile's younger brother, S3 Saloon in Java green. :cheeky: Know Me has seen this one going about Aberdeen as well. Really is the current day B5 A4 in term's of size!
20. As far as i've been seeing, the S-FR is one of the BMW/Toyota-Lexus projects, and with the Mini Superleggera due by "2020" and aimed at the MX5 area. So it could be linked. As for the design of it so far(S-FR), there's a tonn of eco's of the old Toyota 800, which had charm by the bucket load. Just that massive grill is putting me off it.
21. I well aware doing what I've said would't have all the fine tuning, just pointing out that the same power/wright gains can be gotten without spending the £60k premium. With the M4 being a fine bit of kit to start with it'd do no harm . And doing it yourself would mean you could even have the manual. (or drop top..if you inclined that way). Okay, sure you don't have that special model, but most people would see it and think a 21 year old with cash and a demon tweeks fetish has been at the car other than it being the ultra special edition. As I said originally... I'm not putting the car down, more the fact it's silly expensive for what it is in my book. :)
22. A few week's back, myself & Me™ got board and decided to take some photos at a local Fort. And inside it... I'll be honest and say, these's are actually his photos which I've borrowed. :cheeky:
