Zirconium Stratum is best thing to mine... For comparison IRL

the crew The Crew will have "over 40 vehicles". Wait... how many?!
calster17 replied to Ryzza5's topic in Driving & Racing Games
Lower number than expected (expected 50 - 60 mark), but if the open world is good and games fine then it'll be enough as there is a few cars I like in the list so far. Like someone above said, I tend to have a select bunch of cars that I drive often. Am surprised at the number, Driver SF had much more for starters. Although I guess it is the reason why they keep showing the same cars over and over? -

So I was in town getting GTA5, stopped by the scrappy to look for a new grill.... I found a Aerodeck VTi with a mint condition interior.... Full seat set and all door trim. Half leathers all round. :D All that was wrong is just age related wear, a quick wipe with of leather cleaner and it's good as new. Best £60 I've spent in awhile.

I think he could be referring to mine... ;) - People who have me on FB will have maybe seen that I got talking to my local Honda dealer at an open event thing they do in a shopping center, and me having time to kill waiting for a train I had a good snoop round the new Accord. Gave my details and such for a brochure and got offered a Test drive, surprised the guy when he seen I was 20 and never knew what an Aerodeck was....I though there would be nothing of it. But this awaited me in the post yesterday... The letter is hand written, and just says I can pop down any time for a test drive! :D Not my car as such....but an Accord Estate(Tourer) could be 'wolf 2' in a few years.

This. I just felt the need to point out that sound is't everything, I mean no matter how good any game is sound wise, it's still just a digital sound.
-
I honestly don't know why you guys keep bashing it. I'm just doing it to throw in a counter, sure there not perfect but no need to keep hammering it in every time something with GT is shown. :mhmm: Also maybe i'm doing it for the lul's...
-
In the end, if I wanted to drive in the best driving experience...I'd get in my car. If the sound sounds car like then I'm happy with it, If a car had polka music playing from the exhaust then i'd be annoyed*, I know im in the minority here with my view but that's just me. * Ive nothing wrong with Polka music, in fact .

It's just I focus on other things than sound, I'd be lying if I said the sound was't important to a car, but when I'm driving it's not. Know the sound of my car going up the rev's, what sound to change at and such but its just there. Even when I've driven cars with fruitier sounds, it's when I'm not moving I'll admire it's sound", but will admit the cheeky sound of the turbo and spooling it up is nice but wears off after the first few minuets. Were all different in what we like about cars, and the same with driving.

When out on a spirited drive(or as the 'yoof' call it, 'hooning') or just out to the countryside & mountains , the road & the fantastic views are what I'm focused on(mostly the road, but can still take in the views), the sound is really just there, merged with the road and wind noise. Only pay attation to sound when I start up to check it sounds fine, when on the move if the 'normal' sound is interrupted by something like a rattle about, exhaust gets a hole in it, scraping over a bump or a spring snaps.

Driving Physics > Sounds I mean after all, sound is a by product of driving, not the main part of it. And for a game to be a good driving sim, i'd think physics are more important.(sure the Sim's that F1 teams use don't have pitch perfect sound or tip top graphics, and focus on the physics?) :mhmm: Think i'll bring a firetruck as backup for my flame suit.
-
I doubt all cars will be 'fixed'...i mean who is going to moan that the 1998 Daihatsu Midget doesn't sound just right. But at least there going to fix them...could be like other racing games where they say "HERES DAY 1 DLC!!!!11111!" 4 months in advance. Rather have polished physics that don't want to make you enter a drift when in real life that'd never happen(I've compared with GT5, another game not on PS3 and IRL with an MX5 at 30mph and a basic corner) rather than pitch perfect sound. Flame suit on and fire extinguisher in hand.

Being single, it's the single greatest word ever.(although when not single, its the second greatest word, but some of my non single mates agree with me:lol: ) It's a measurement of drink used over here in GB, as in "I'll have a pint of *drink name here*" and you'll get a pint (550ml glass). Most places you dont need to ask for a pint but say the drink name...but some places give you a bottle...which is just plane wrong unless they don't have it on tap. (but theybshould say they dont have it) I may have had a few pints before writing that btw.

Is that a Pint your holding in the second pic? If so then  No girls I know get pints. Think I posted this on my BTCC thread, and a few weeks old but though i'd go here... 'Selfie' of Shedden by CarbonCoffee, on Flickr Because Racecar.

Would be fun to see it on track! But getting up close with fully prepped race cars is something! :D I'm still confused as to why it says "JaCuar" on that E-Type though!

I should try photo shopping the actual alloys from a Countach onto one, but keep the rim sizes to be better suited(originals used somthing like 15/16" front/rear if memory serves me correctly) and also the same spoiler..and if bothered add the gear gate from a Gallardo.

And it so happens around 85% of them do happen to drive German cars (or stuff from the VAG group) ;) My car's stereotype is it's an old mans car, which is great as nobody thinks anything of it! BMW's are a mixed bag, newer ones are going to be okay or keep an eye on them as can go from good to knob in 0.001 seconds. Older ones are now in the price/insurance range for young people who think its the bees knees and are generally cocks. Merc's are 90% of the time good, as more older people have newer ones and older ones don't have the pull for young folk here to get(also big engines put people off some) Then there's the Audi group. Can be spotted a mile off thanks to there LED's, and they like to show them off so much they and think there better than everyone because they own the 'pinnacle' of Germanic motoring they can do want, it's a sign of status. Can often be found driveing 2" from your ass everywhere you go. Older ones have the same image problem as older BMW's are getting, young people getting a hold of them. Please keep in mind my point of view is from the oil capitol of Europe, so there are TON's of people driving new German cars..and a ton of them being driven badly. Oh, a special mention to the Skoda Octavia & Superb, great cars but a Taxi drivers favorite...look out for it darting about when theres no fair being made. Now...Keep this ontopic! Start a 'Car Stereotype' thread or something to stop this being derailed!
